Admittedly earned after the high stick. But he shouldn't have curled up into a ball on the boards when McMichael, one of the smallest guys on the ice, came and 'talked' to him about it.
Good for Artemi. He took a blade to the face and Oshie was ribbing him all game prior to that hit.

The refs didn't call Oshie's stick to the head in the 2nd, so #10 took care of it with a great hit in the 3rd. He took care of business, Blueshirts took care of business, let's finish this in 4-5 and move closer to the prize. Let's Go Rangers!!
What an exciting game. Less than 10 men on ice every 4 mins. Tons of room in a playoff game. Very rare when the ice usually shrinks this time of year.
That was the worst officiated game I’ve ever watched. Minimum 4 missed trips, 3 missed high sticks. But we’re calling cross checks and roughings on normal net front battles in the playoffs?
Yeah, you would think they would be more lenient since it's the playoffs, but the refs have been very whistle happy these first two games. The problem with that is they are still somehow missing the most blatant calls.

In the replay, that Vesey shot at the empty net looked like it swerved a bit or took a bit of a funny bounce. It wasn't much, but from the angle it looked like it changed the shot that might have gone just inside the post to taking the puck just outside instead.
Dirtbag gets hit clean by 120 pt skill guy after harassing him all game - caps fans need to get a grip. If you make it your game to harass the other teams skill players - thats fine - at least have the clarity to see that if you get hurt doing that its part of the bargain.

What in the world were you watching Rangers did not dominate that game. Most of it was special teams.
Great observations. This is nitpicking but Trouba and Lindgren are a liability relative to the other defensemen. Putting both on the ice at the same time is asking for trouble. They cannot move the puck or clear the zone when pressured. Just watch them when they are on the ice. I have a lot more confidence in the other defensemen.
Trouba had a good game. He was digging pucks out in the corner and blocking lanes like a tank.

They block shots better than the others and you knew it would be in our end. Not defending them bc they are slow so get penalties. In that instance I'm onboard with them being on

Dominated? Caps led early and pulled within one goal in the third and almost scored in the end, I don’t call that being dominated.
As a rangers fan I agree. I saw the title and was like “what?”. Dont get me wrong that game could have been dominated but we let them back in with dumb penalties. Wins a win but agreed it wasn’t dominant

Dominate is winning by 4, not 1. At the very least it's not being in a position where the other team doesn't bother pulling their goalie. If it weren't for the first period, awful by both, I'd give you dominate for game one.
I thought Bloomers, I mean Boomer, was a big Ranger fan. How come he mispronounced Bread's name TWICE in 10 seconds? He literally called him Pranarin two separate times in two sentences. Boomer should stick to football, his hockey analysis is awful...
