Love the car, I’d revisit that filler neck though. That little tube on the side wasn’t for an evap system. That’s the vent so you can fill it up fast without gas splashing back out the whole time.

This build is so insanely fun to watch, cant even enjoy other builds on youtube.
Can't wait to see this thing done and pissing off Mustang owners worldwide! Two things though, you could have saved a ton of work and hassle by ditching that overly complicated (and heavy) fuel filler and just using marine grade 2 inch fuel hose. It's flexible enough to bend to your needs and resistant to exterior conditions.
For the trunk panels being loud, there are ways to reduce that oil drum effect, the simplest one is by using dimple dies on the panels (like the dimples on jerrycans) to make them less floppy. That's what makes them loud. The Dynamat weighs the panel down and absorbs resonant vibrations, while dimpling the panel tunes the panel to vibrate at a higher pitch, which makes it less noticeable compared to other NVH. You'd still have an echo if the panel is left naked, but you could just Dynamat on some parts instead of all the panel. You end up saving weight and money on the long run.
A lighter car is always faster and more fun!

If Tom would get serious, he would be a very good fabricator. The way he polished that dash part really looked good. Seriously, Tom you do realize you are actually good at what you do. You could build custom cars and be good at it. There are not that many people that can do what you do.

Tom your splicing is totally fine.
If you want to split hairs when it comes to car wiring, manufacturers will use crimp splices instead of solder because of vibrations causing breaks in the wire close to the soldered joint. To fix it just zip tie the wires to something solid to stop the wires from flexing.

You should really consider doing a AWD conversion on this project. How cool would it be to do some Hoonicorn style AWD burnouts! The conversation is relatively cheap and easy using mostly junkyard parts.
