I played semi pro in my teen years in another country. I moved to America after college. I will be retiring early and want to coach middle school or high school teams. Question: do you get healthcare as a school coach?
@@CyMartorto coach? No. But it helps with middle school and high school because they may want you to teach a class too. You don't need a degree to coach Club, College, Pro only certification from US Soccer.
So my problem is having to do 2 day grass courses in person. But I think I should be fine. The real problem for me is having a team when I take the D license course. I am currently about to start coaching for a team but I believe the season will be end before I can start on my license. How can I go about that?
Some of the courses say you need access to teams honestly and personally I'm taking these courses because I want to become an MLS youth scout. How do I go about this?
Thank you. Actually very helpful
Glad it helped!

Question: do you get healthcare as a school coach?
Not exactly. You’re considered a seasonal employee. So health care is on you
Hi. Thank you so much for this video.
Could you share with us any information about the salary on a middle school coaching level?
You’re welcome. All I can say is the salary at that level is very little. Not enough to live. Most coaches at this level have second and thirst jobs
🙌🏿
Were you able to get the middle school coaching job after attaining the grassroots coaching license ?
yes. Most places only care about the grassroots license. They only ask for a higher license if you wanna coach college teams and beyond
But, how long would it take to pass all those different levels and become a coach ready to coach in the USL at least?
To coach in the USL it might take 5 to 6 years depending how consistent you are with coaching jobs.
Do you need a BSc degree in a related field before getting a soccer job??

How do you start you own company?

Can you explain “access to teams”? So I can help you out better
Can I obtain a license to manage U15 11v11 turf teams at 18? Lol. I am on my way to bring the game to my community in Chicago and run a little league
Absolutely. Just the get the lowest level grassroots license and you’ll be fine. I coached a U15 club for 2 years with that license
@@thefootballsearch thank you
Any legit websites to get the license?
You have to take an in-person class and pass the exams. Can’t do it online. And the only legit place is US Soccer website
Thank you
I want to be a coach license.
