Thanks man! And nahhhh i'm just good at making shit up on the go, I had the entire scene layed out and i'm like shit what am I even gonna have them say? So I had the project on standstill for a week while I figured out what I was gonna have them say and then got a voice actor to do the lines then I could animate. I'm currently in the same slump for scene two 0.0 I have it all lined out I just gotta finish up the dialogue so I can finish animating/rendering haha

Why a serif font? Personally, I think a simple sans serif will fit better - maybe an old looking one. As with Code Man the 2nd I also noticed the reduced frame at sections. Maybe just add 1 more frame to, for example, the walking animations. I've recently (reluctantly) upgraded to Blender 2.8. Took some time to get used to, but since this is going to be a long one, Eevee and Workbench might help a lot during the animation parts. Can still render final frames in Cycles afterward.

Simon TrainBrainz Because Lego is a kids toy, and WW2 was the biggest horror/tragedy of the 20th century where fucking millions of people died, you think Lego wants it’s brand associated with that? Do some research into history I’m surprised Lego hasn’t even shut him down for using its IP

There's gotta be a way to use image textures in place of actual lego blocks. I'm not sure how to do that, however. If I find out ill let you know.

Next film make sure to add a frame in the middle of ur characters walk cycle just to make it that bit smoother

The animation is really nice! But... I wanted to see a battle on the Dobrost' river (where 1 soviet soldier destroyed lots of German tanks, armored cars etc.)
You won't be animated their mouths? Otherwise looks great so far. I took film class a while back and one thing they drill into you is camera angles are very important
Thanks man! And no, unfortunately if I were to animate mouth movements it would be at least another month to do this first scene and then take instead of 1 more year nearly 2 more years to finish the film :(
@@Snooperking I barley use blender but you could do some basic stuff, like opening the moth when theyre talking couldn't a big difference. Or it could look horrible. Either way good luck with the movie, hopefully youtube likes it and decides to monetize lol
@@Martin-vy7mm If anything i'll do some in after effects. I can always go through afterwards but animating in blender would be much harder
I love it soo much, but why the very limited frame rate at times?
Is that just a style decision?
Yeah it's just a style decision, i'd rather have it look too much like stop motion than too much like grade-b 3D animation haha. But don't worry! Only the characters are animated this slow, the explosions/environment/vehicles all move much smoother it's just this first scene doesn't really give much a reference for the actual speed the animation is playing back at except for the camera pan and vehicle moving in the very beginning of the scene.
