To this day, still one of the greatest First World War stop motions I have ever seen. This video is beyond nostalgic for me, I remember watching it over and over again back in middle school.
0:46 just in fact stalhelms were used mostly in frontline, germans in the artillery positions prefered to wear soft caps cuz weight of stalhelm was big.
It's videos like this that give me hope that stop-motion isn't a dying art form. Extremely well done, the details were top-notch, and I really appreciated the easter eggs here and there. Nine and a half minutes well spent!
You captured the horrors of war perfectly, no one could do it better. The set design was amazing and the camera movements were great. I loved it all. Keep up the great work.
Hey my old Friend! Nice to see that you still make Brickfilms, this set is just big and and you put a lot of work in all details. And you also used very many Soliders at one time, thats exacle what i like to see in a Brickfilm! I see you used my sounds in 2:38 but thats okay, Winterbottom apparentley served in Ypres to =O Keep up the good work!
Hey thanks man! glad to see you're active once in a whileXD And I asked you on Facebook forever ago if it was okay to use the sounds lol but it would've been like a year ago haha, glad you liked it!
Man . . . Cinematography, animation, muzzle flashes, camera work, sfx are just absolutely astonishing!! So dahn good, the time and effort u put in is great, the only thing is many shots and the overall video could have been sped up. I watched some of it 2x faster to see what it looks like and it looked better. Good job 😀🙀
Yo! Excellent animation once again! That ending where you thanked jslegomaster and mrpearljack made me kinda sad that they retired from animating. Hopefully this won't be your last BIG animation and that you continue animating!! Loved every detail, bravo.
This was really well done. It truly captures the horrors and the absolute brutality of the Great War. May those who have fought never be forgotten. Never should their suffering be lost in history. Also, that Stormtrooper...
This animation was absolutely fantastic. The only thing I can possibly recommend is adding some sort of colour correction to make it feel a bit more 'gritty' and 'war'ish. Really good work though!
Chalios Animations thanks man(: and trust me its already cc to look much more grim, the original footage has very bright colors if you compared them this is much darker
Blitzcrieg 101 still blood loss and shock can kill you as fast as a whistle, worse case scenario he went into a coma and was buried alive or was cremated alive
This is amazing! I found the set design incredibly accurate and the camera movement and entertainment was 10/10. However you should work on you smoothness in animating, perhaps using frame blending may help on your editing software. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!!!
I think you can make a movie out of this. And i am sure this would be cool educational stuff. Why don't you try to get into such industry? This is great man.
this is like the most cinematic ww1 stopmotion out there at the moment I mean cmon it feels like your in the trenches. I've watched this 17 times and every time I'm amazed at the details. my favorite part is the starting scene that so cool 0:32
Enduro Pro/TheVersus Little but genius easteregg. The Germans had elite forces called 'Sturmtruppen' in WW1 which translates to 'stormtroopers'. A lot of Star Wars was inspired by WW1 and WW2, especially Germany. For example Han Solo's blaster looks very much like the German pistol 'Mauser c96'. According to Spielberg the Imperium is also heavily inspired by the Third Reich.
I don’t get why that dude killed him at the end. He was clearly injured and helpless. I know their just lego people but that really gets on my nerves how that guy did that.

Additionally the way the old 1910s music samples were used and mixed in with the sounds of gunfire was genius
This is beyond impressive. All those soldiers animated at once. Hats off to you.
0:46 just in fact stalhelms were used mostly in frontline, germans in the artillery positions prefered to wear soft caps cuz weight of stalhelm was big.
*Briliant!!!* it is very smooth,i hope you could make more animations in the future.
@Greasy Games well then id like to see you do better than that
3:55 Stormtrooper. Funny. I wish you added a welheme scream.
CSI Garcia That would hage been quite the thing.
CSI Garcia they were elite German soldiers called stormtroops

My dad and I just watched this and we were very impressed at the animations and effects. Thank you so much for sharing!

Whoever made this deserves Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film. Even if the sound is from a video game.
Haha thanks man, and I did all the sound editing myself, just used some voice and individual gunshots from a couple games, means alot man!
Genius god, wow.

I think it should stay as it looks, prefer the slower feel makes it more cinematic. We all have our opinions tho.
The time and effort this person had to go thru to present us this beautiful video
the storm trooper. this whole thing was brilliant, i am going to make some more ww1 stopmotions.
I am very inspired... I honestly loved this :)
Anyone else just love brickarms there stuff is so awesome and accurate
This is better made than a full quality pc video with no ads and no interuptions. Truly amazing
I loved the inclusion of the voices from The Story of Sgt. Winterbottom. Great homage to the legendary and influential JSLegoMaster.

NNNNNNOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
I love when it pans across the frontline and there's the one Lego face that's blankly smiling haha.
Did Jslegomaster helped voice act or something? This is awesome! Does anyone remember Jslegomaster?!?!?!? This is freaking awesome!!!!!
You should read the credits, the voice actors are there.
Yeah i got permission from him to do a quick cameo with sgt taylor haha
There's a stormtrooper in the trenches too!!!!!
This is better then any movie
It’s pretty unbelievable this battle happened over 100 years ago
THIS IS LITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT MAKE MORE PLEASE I SUBSCRIBEDDDDDD
The storm trooper. And it being on the British side? Was interesting to see that though. Lol
What the hell is that officer blow the trumpet as a whistle 2:19
I love how they are all smiling.
The Charge of The German Soldiers WERE THE FREAKINB BEST SCENE MAN JUST ADD MORE MAN KEEP IT UP
This may have some ideal premise to the kind of atmosphere we were wowed by, at the '1917' WW1 Film. I love this war vid.

James F dont worry i got a crazy pirate animation planned just bought like 10 ships(;
Your a god to have a storm trooper in a ww1 brickfilm
The enemy have taken objective butter
We are being reinforced with an airship
We're taking objective Apples
Enemy's have taken objective Dove
The enemy behemoth is en route

hey ive noticed ww2 stuf in this ww1 film such as a BAR a british soldier was holding
Actually that is correct, the BAR was used in ww1 not many people know this because it was too advanced in ww1
some lego minifigures, a bit of red playdough and some blocks you good to go for a epic war movie nice work
You forgot that the battle of Ypres was the first time Mustard Gas was used
Shane Haylock there were 4 battles at ypres this is the last time
Shane Haylock was was there a storm trooper

I like that there is a stromtrooper standing Guard in the back Ground when the British machine gun Gets grenaded! XD:P
AAHHH THANK U FOR HEARTING IT!!!!!!
Came back 7 years later and it’s still class to watch. Brown jacket died a hero 🪦
I love when the german executed the soldier, it was so realistic, because its hard to kill another human
I hated that! Whatever happened to mercy?
Blitzcrieg 101 that was mercy, he would have died in so much pain, that was mercy
He had a chance to live. He got shot in the shoulder
Blitzcrieg 101 still blood loss and shock can kill you as fast as a whistle, worse case scenario he went into a coma and was buried alive or was cremated alive
True, but that there was cold blooded murder, and there is no excuse
2:20 That's an od sound for a trumpet to make.
Addbrick Productions it’s supposed to be a whistle
@@falke_9775 no it's a trumpet
