yepp.. you would probably spend 6-7 grand just to paint it flat black for a little bit then when you tired of it or want to sell the car you can pay again 15 grand just to paint it back to a special ferrari color. AAAND the car is losing value like crazy. Instead you can wrap it less than 6-7 grand and remove it after a few year and nobody will ever know it.
If you could afford a 458 you could surely afford to have the car repainted by a professional. Probably the best custom paint shop in the city. Country even (ship the car to the paint shop). :) Perhaps for a Mini Cooper owner on a much tighter budget.
do you also take care of the inside from the doors.... or the hood or the trunk.... it looks ridiculous when the original color pops up when opening the door
So that is what this is called. I see cars from time to time with this and it just looks fucking awesome like some sort of battle car. There was this Audi R8 in my neighborhood that had this done along with the chrome air intakes. MAN, it looks beast!
A lot of people do this to their expensive cars because they want to compete in rally's (GUMBALL 5000) and they don't want any scratches or wear on the original paint. This is also a way for them to put on lots of stickers and not have to spend the time to tear them off individually.

FYI All Ferrari have clear vinyl warp on front end of car....
