halls appear to be narrow. I would think 4' min instead of 3', would be preferred. Further, for 55+ , kitchens are fine but primary doors should be at least 32" wide, considering wheel chair / handicap. Baths, meh, I think walk-in shower, flush with floor and a bit larger would be better
The community is more designed for an active community, though they do know people will age there so but it is designed for active adults. Interior doors opening are on average 32" wide exterior are 36".
Active at some point can become inactive. A bit shortsighted. If you haven’t dealt with this either yourself or aging parents you don’t realize how important it is.
I think these homes are okay but are missing a wow factor for the price. Also, I just think the price is too high for those scaling down and wanting to spend more on life experiences verses a house payment.
So what is the big advantage of a 55+ community? Isn’t this just another form of HOA where a bunch of busy bodies who don’t like children get tell you what you can and cannot do on your own property?
@@livinginidaho if you have any influence on the people who build houses for older people tell them that the real need is for two bedroom 2 bathroom s with zero barrier shower in one and a bathtub in the other. Zero barriers for wheelchairs following ADA recommendations. About 1000 square feet not including the garage. Someone over 55 might be fit now but statistically they’re not going to stay that way. If you’re worried about their social lives put the development near some churches and put in a playground or two. If it’s in Idaho don’t let any kind of HOA that would be a deal breaker for most of us.
These are duet style townhomes... so you would only own one side and you would share a wall with the other owner. Yes, one side for 400k. For sale not for rent. Hope that helps.
Are grandkids and guest allowed to use the pool if the resident is with them? Some 55 plus communities don’t allow that. They only allow it on special occasions .
Yes grandkids and guests are allowed to use the pool if the resident is with them. Guests under the age of 18 will have access from 11am-2pm every day. Older guests are allow any time as long as they're with the resident. What other questions can I answer for you?
Thank you! I noticed a the model homes shown all have the covered patio right in front of the family room window. Are there options to not have a covered patio? I feel like it doesn’t allow the natural light in to the family room. Such beautiful homes! I loved the exposed beams and wood cabinetry. Very custom feel.
@@penelopeschultz3635 The covered patios come with all the houses. There is not an option todo a house without the covered patio. Also, I made you a video with my thoughts on this, www.loom.com/share/993c8d7d515f4e13be3e6cf04c536109?sid=b0f2d864-925e-49a9-917a-21a80ebd35d4

Hi Craig. Is there a best age-in-place 55+ community in Idaho? Can one opt to age-in-place their purchase?

Nailed it on the head.
It’s not for everyone and we don’t have many in the valley.

I like them and love the dog park in the conummity
Thanks for watching. It’s a great community they’re building out there.
Where you watching from?
Love this....
Garages should be 9' high doors, should have RV bays.
clubhouse? Toll Brothers and Coleman Homes, failed their other buyers by not building clubhouses in their other communities.
Are you buying the duplex for $400k starting. Are you owning just the one side for $400k 1 bedroom? Are they renting or owning?

Thank you! Very helpful!
@penelopeschultz3635 what things are you looking for in a 55+ community?
Oh Neal, where do Eye Retere(2)?
Thanks for watching the video
It’s really not 55 and over. You don’t even have to to be 55 to buy only one person living there to be over 55
