Your alive ! ( best way to be ) Spooky as I watched your old delta vs fp4 vid again the other night It's interesting to track your journey. You went Pentax 67 then hasselblad then Leica . That's exactly the same curve as me over a similar timeline ( I still use the hassy most of the time ) I have the Elmer 90 f4 late model . It cost £229 mint . I was sceptical as I sometimes struggle to focus or at least be sure it's in focus . Tbh I can often stick it on infinity for landscape and not even worry about fine tuning £229 for a Leica m lens was a solid purchase I would love to see you make more videos and perhaps less equipment oriented,
Good to know that there might me more content in the future, I still re-watch many of you old videos from time to time. Just make videos about what you find interesting, I think an instructional video about how to use manual flash power could be interesting and useful. I have been using manual flash power when shooting still life with film, but I cheat and preview it with a digital camera first to find out the correct power setting (but still have made mistakes with the flash zoom head having at the wrong setting and then pictures coming out under or overexposed (slide film).
Welcome back, Jonathan. Very interesting and thought provoking video. I have tried to use a 135mm on my Canon 7. As you said, it is extremely difficult to nail focus. Perhaps I should try and source an 85mm or 90mm,
Thanks! I fear I agree with most of what you said and showed. I take my 90mm with me on trips, mostly because it is lighter than my preferred 75mm. In return, I have to do with a tiny frame in the view finder. Next time, I'll bear in mind what you said of the strong points of 90mm. I'm sure it will help, certainly with picking the composition.
For a beginning Leica shooter, could someone please provide me the specifics of this particular 90mm Summicron F2? I would like to track it down Thanks!
He’s back! 🎉
Welcome back!!!!!! Miss them vids man
Man, it alway makes my week when I see there's a new Notley video.
I enjoyed this (and your waffling). Welcome back.
Definitely do one for manual flash!
Glad to see you’re back

I love the analogy of what each lens gives you. But your skipped over 75mm What does a 75mm lens show you?
