Dapper, just on this note you being shamed by people saying your glorifying the lifestyle, that's what makes this podcast accessible and stand out. People want to acknowledge that getting on it IS fun, and have a laugh about it whilst talking about real issues and improving themselves. If it wasn't a good feeling, people would getting into it in the first place. Keep doing what your doing!

50 Days sober today all started for me watching this podcast ! Some of the things that I can hand on heart say have changed in my life over this time .
. Happiest me and my wife have ever been (from her mouth also)
. Spend so much amazing quality time with my two young kids
. Smashing the gym 4 mornings a week 5am starts before work in best shape I’ve been in for years
. Promoted in work into a career path I’ve been chasing for a long time .
I was stuck in the rut like I read so many other people in the comments are. Believe in yourself get focused on something for me the gym is my escape and go smash it don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t !
Thanks for opening my eyes to my issues Dan literally changed my life 🫶🏻

Thank you for sharing. I’m now beginning to work with addicts of cocaine just recently in the last few weeks after many years of being a Hypnotherapist and this is really helping me understand it as I’ve never treated it before I’ve treated alcoholics people addicted to smoking cocaine. It’s a new one for me after many years, so this is really good information on it. The more I understand the more I help my clients

I work from home a lot so I just feel like I need to get away for a couple of hours and get out of the house from the cabin fever. Fridays need to change. Cheers Dan, since watching your podcast my mindset has slowly come back, back in 2021 I was at my peak mentally and physically in my 40's, however last year I really let it slide, gained weight all round, lost the purpose, and binge drink. I'm now back in the gym, 30 days sober, and mindset is getting there, I resonated so much in what you was saying on the urges, triggers.....I use to get that even seeing a advert lol. Watching you guys for a hour on a treadmill really got me thinking, best regards from Malaysia.

There are people that really want to stop and will apply every fibre in their body to do so and there are those that have just put their next usage on pause whilst they momentarily abstain - it’s hard to distinguish between which path you are on - but the key is knowing there are two different paths and only one is out of jail

Like ya said: it’s not glorification. It’s a clear broadcast of what everyone’s ingesting and the reality of a vicious, pointless, self destructive lifestyle full of financial ruin and personal loss. Keep up the good work and keep those sober days on the infinite mark ♾

Some people like myself can't control and moderate. Unfortunately. Better off cutting it out completely. But good luck to ya if you can take it or leave it.

Dapper you make some great points in this podcast but the guest is the type of guy to just 1 up whatever point you are saying rather than listening to your points. Its a shame, still a great podcast and some very helful content.

Yep but you think it doesn’t work the other way as well for the buyer
They get it off the dealer on tic so they don’t have to pay the money then next week debt day comes they pay and get another or whatever then the week after the same and same and same they are always owing something but always ticking something so the dealer never actually sees his money from these kinda people n they know what they are doing they will have many they do it with and their will be ones that they don’t pay one week then will pay the next week they’ll always let one of them down and let a different one down the week after and go round in a circle. Their cheeky cunts some of these customers and these type of people the ones that do it are the ones that are your mates😂😂😂

Do you think its more prevalent in men than women cos women are more tuned into(looking after the kids, getting stuff done at home)?I'm not judging but us women do have to deal with the kids and life and men(not judging again)but we do have to literally get on with it.😊

I think its more in men just form the lad culture growing up, every lad I know either does it or did.

Women are generally by nature more in touch with their emotions, men tend to bottle everything up until it becomes unbearable

@@menacetosobrietypodcast I know, I've known for a while. I have my kids 2 days a week and they r 4 and 6. The ex has dragged me thru so many court hearings and made my life hell. So after work when I get home and don't have my boys I try and numb the pain and drink or at weekends get some packet. And don't talk to anyone at all. Don't go out. Hate it and hate myself for doing it. But same old pattern every week. Whenever I don't have my boys I resort to the same shit to block it all out. 4 years now. I've had enough. Don't want this anymore.

Sounds like you’re going through tough times, Iain, but I’m sure you can do it. Take good care of yourself, be kind to yourself, and please know that you will be able to get through this 💯. Sounds like you are a good, dedicated Dad. Keep your chin up. Your kids need you. All the best, Tim
