New Rules is by dua lipa, the new bass is Matt Sallee, the tall blonde is Scott, beat-boxer is Kevin, the female is Kirstin, and of course Mitch who hits all those high notes. Also with Pentatonix i def recommend using ear-buds or a headset to get the full effect of everything going on. If you start reacting to other PTX videos I recommend you listen with headphones, then you really get to hear/feel the bass...it really improves the impact of their performances.
The two songs are not even in the same key. So they had to do a lot of changing in the arrangement to make it work. But they are amazing and could probably mashup any two songs and make it sound good.
So true. A LOT of changing and figuring out how they could bring the two together cohesively. But PTX are pros at what they do, and I mean they have Grammy's to prove they are amazing at arrangement. It probably almost becomes like second nature to them now.
No it’s not, all they did was transpose the key. But it was pretty genius to think hey let’s take the Timberland beat in Aaliyah’s song and sing Dua Lipa’s song over it. It doesn’t take away from the fact that this arrangement is good.

Just one thing I recommend, with Pentatonix videos I suggest earphones. They sound great without but trust me earphones are the way to go.
