  • If you want to purchase Tethrd 15 ounce titanium One Sticks or Skeletor 2 pound aluminum sticks with aiders already attached to save on the hassle of getting them added once purchased, call Noah at 989-506-0721. Noah owns an Amish bridal and saddle shop and alters saddles and will add aiders onto sicks for $15 per step. Noah is also a Tethrd retailer and you can purchase the sticks and they will be shipped to you ready to use.
His price is the same as on the Tethrd website and he can put on as many steps per stick as you want. For safety he also doubles up the fabric where the aiders are attached to the stick so the fabric on the aider strap will never fray.
I also mention that he will modify a 2-panel ESS saddle like mine or sell you one already modified. A modified ESS is what I've been using for over 40 seasons and I've tried many saddles and have never found any to be as versatile and comfortable.

IMO, Skeletors are the best aluminum sticks out there and there are a lot of different aluminum sticks.

Sold my gen 1 tethrd one sticks and bought xop x2 sticks. One sticks made too much noise for my liking

I've never had that issue, but if you did, totally understand as additional noise in unacceptable.

Hey John, read your books just watched your video about how to set up a saddle.. I have a question is it a smart idea to hunt little to no pressure areas like it’s heavy pressure?

I’m curious how people paint their sticks knowing that paint has a scent to them? Is there a particular type of paint that you use?

Just regular paint and then hang then wash them in a washtub and let them hang a few weeks. The paint smell will go away after the sticks hang in a few rains and overnight dews.

I have a question John and I’m sorry if you have covered it. Is it recommended to leave the weight bearing waste strap buckle attached when you are in the hunting position and you’re attached to your tether? I know you modified yours so I’m assuming it’s okay to disconnect to allow the outer panel to more easily be adjusted. I’ve seen other review videos where guys are just loosening up it but keeping it connected. Thanks

I cut the waist strap off mine. Other than for keeping it tight when walking and climbing, it really has no function.
