    Instead of tying a overhand loop knot us a running bowline, It won't tighten down.

  • @joemccarthywascorrect6240
    @joemccarthywascorrect6240 Год назад +6

    With just one more flip, you could have a Bowline-on-a-Bight instead of an overhand knot, and be able to easily untie the loop instead of having a jammed knot.

      @SpeirOutdoors  Год назад +3

      Honestly that particular rope don’t jam. I’m 200 lbs and it comes right out. Craziest thing I ever seen. But you are right. I’ve always used the overhand knot

    Hammocks without spreader bars were recalled in the United States, because they pose a high risk of strangulation for small children.

    Can be done and a wonderful bit of skill to have BUT rope and cordage can damage and kill trees when used for hammocks like this. Use 1”+ webbing instead.

    Make double figure eight knot so you can get it untied. Tree end. Your second knot is what we call a truckers knot. Open beer and relax.

    I don’t know if it’s RUclips issue or the video. But one time I tried to play it it had you sounding weird like a chipmunk. It was playing the video so fast. I kept clicking on the video a couple of times just to get the right video playing. It kept showing me a video on a brand new rope saw. After about three or four times it finally started showing me the correct video.
