The Michael Jackson episode proves why they’re the best. They didn’t just go for the obvious joke. They looked at his situation and wrote something interesting and hilarious.
Yeah most people just go for the low hanging fruit of “p3d0”. Even today people still think or make jokes about it even after the kids who accused them came out about lying about it. But they went the smart rout and actually looked at him as a person and saw someone who needed to grow up and stop having the mind of a child when you have a child yourself
Disappointed they didn’t talk about Jimmie beating his girlfriend and mom. Kind of dark but I laughed so hard when he’s saying his lines with the stutter and such lol.
I'm slowly working my way through all of SP for the first time, and I agree this is definitely one of the stronger seasons so far with lots of bangers.
Every episode is excellent in this season and some are timeless classics. Even the ones that are more about current events from the time are still funny years later
What makes south park so special is how the humor cuts across all age groups. A 12 y/o will laugh at the potty humor and an adult laugh's at the satirizing of society and pop culture, different flavors of humor for everyone.
"Something Walmart This Way Comes" definitely depicts the hypocrisy of humans over Walmart in that the people can say that they are pro or anti Walmart. It's not Walmart, it's the people but of course nobody wants to pay more for stuff they need and want.
I listened to Trey & Matt’s commentary regarding the eighth episode, and they never said a word about Kyle’s betrayal over Stan, and why they remained friends afterwards.
The fact that I was born in 2004 and am now watching this as a 19 year old about to go to college both makes me feel like a literal child and fucking old at the same time :D
@@gabe_s_videos Haha, thanks dude! I just try my best and enjoy embracing my inner child. I guess that’s part of why I love Matt and Trey so much. The fact that these guys are about as old as my parents, but still giggle about fart jokes and the most random things taught me that growing up doesn’t mean growing old.
@@lara3540 Well said! Really, that's what I think has kept South Park running as long as it has: buried under any and all opinions, political, pop culture or otherwise, the whole point of it is to make people laugh.
42:10 Who hasn't been there, amirite? Not in this exact scenario obviously, but the feeling of going home after you pulled off the impossible and just roaring like a lion 😂😂😂😂 fukken legend
🌈 Please subscribe dudes! :) 🌈

39:11 listening to both of them cracking up over Paris Hilton's dog shooting itself! 😂😂😂

In my opinion, easily the best season in South Park

its amazing how they were still able to make great episode while still being burnt out on the making of team america, their creativity is incredible.
It was Futurama that made the same “double yes” joke in their Star Trek episode if anyone was wondering, great minds think alike
so basically... the Simpsons did it.
I've also seen it in a swedish show from the 90s called Nilecity, I guess the joke idea is pretty common.

The potty humor isn't for kids, the whole show is just crazy which is why I stook with it as a kid

Listening to two Americans talking about how much they love Bo Selecta is so surreal to me!
9:55 This aged well...
I hate when it's one of my favorite episodes lol and they barely have anything to say or can't remember anything 😕😅
I listened to Trey & Matt’s commentary regarding the eighth episode, and they never said a word about Kyle’s betrayal over Stan, and why they remained friends afterwards.
this was made in 2004
8 years later
he had a daughter
And by the looks of things, he really put his money where his mouth is: he is nothing but a loving, devoted father.

@@lara3540 I'm about to turn 32 and I still feel that way. XD
Don't sweat it.
