I'm self-employed, and own Pro Softball Training. Pro Softball Training offers instruction in all kinds of softball. You name it, we can do it. Today, I will be talking to you about softball. When buying a softball glove, there are several things you can consider. Gloves come in different sizes, some a bit smaller, some a bit bigger, based on the position that you're playing. You can also buy gloves, specific to the position, such as a catchers mitt and a first baseman. Gloves come in different types of leather, and you can buy your gloves in different colors. Typically black, or just a regular brown leather. Some come with more fun colors now, such as pink or even purple. In order to pick the glove that's the right size for you. You need to determine what position that you are going to use it for. Typical fielder's gloves are the most standard gloves, and easiest to purchase. It needs to fit your hand well. It should fit semi tight, like a glove. A catcher's mitt is made with a little more padding, to absorb the speed and velocity of the pitcher throwing into the catcher. A first baseman's mitt is made with a little bit larger pocket, to allow for a little more scooping capability. The best way to decide which glove fits best for you, is to go to the store and try some on. Make sure they fit well on your hand, make sure it feels well on your hand, and make sure you like the style of pocket, and the color.
