Thank u for the video, I had to replace the float needle on my quad today. Simple oil change turned into gas all over the garage floor that morning coming outta the overflow. Hoping this is my fix to the issue
Thank you so much for that video! my husband said that he's not going to let me clean it because he doesn't feel like replacing a two or three hundred dollar carburetor. I'm a Capricorn I'm stubborn! I know I can do it, so I'm going to do it! Thank you for all your help! And I will let you know how things go!
@@TitaniummanGarage thank you for the vote of confidence! Much appreciated! now I'm fixing to go out here and start getting the carb off of the Polaris! And again thank you for your help!
Voltage regulator, starter solenoid & starter had to be replaced! So that's what I'm working on now! I know it's been a while but it's taking me time to get the parts together! I may need your help though! If that's okay! Talk to you soon hopefully!
Very good video Great explanation About to put an All balls carb kit on my Polaris 500 HO 2005 model Will be referring back to video from time to time if need be Cheers from Mid north coast Australia 🇦🇺
Great video. Question for you. I have a 2004 Sportsman 500 HO and the jet seems to be plugged 'cause it will only crank/run with the choke about halfway out. In your video if you look at the airbox side of the carb there are two ports on either side that had nothing connected on my ride. I can blow through both and was wondering if they are breather lines and whether they should be plugged or have hoses attached ?
Awesome video Just a suggestion. I haven’t seen any videos on a issues that happens sometimes on the 500s . That’s were the battery cables get hot and won’t start sometimes in my own experience it’s usually the starter and or solenoid . Sometimes you hear a whine sometimes the solenoid smokes . Love your videos thanks
That would be a hot video. Haha. I only had that happen once. The battery started arcing sparks from positive side I disconnected it before it fried the solenoid.
I have a 2010 Polaris Sportsman 500 that is leaking from the overflow on the bottom of the carb. I suppose this is the correct repair to put in a new kit, correct? Great video, well explained.
I usually get the All Balls carb kits. Funny name. but that's the name of the company. check ebay. I like the kits with the rubber tip on the needle. the all metal needles kinda suck.
Very good vid! Just got a 2011 Sportsman 550EFI, runs great but the tranny may be a nightmare: rubber damper coupler, compensator shaft, main chain driving gears, tinny reverse chain. all like a joke or designed by a kid.....what is your comments on this type of tranny? Thx.
I haven't had to take one apart yet. But the little chain is a silent chain. Most Polaris have them. The chains stretch after time. I just rebuilt a 2015 scrambler 1000 transmission in February. It seemed pretty basic and was surprised on its design. Like you said..looks like a kid designed it. Long chain that ended up snapping and the shifter mechanism was designed horrible.
I have a 2004 Sportsman 500 HO 4X4 and was doing what you are doing. But when i took the bottom of the diaphragm screw and washer or what ever it is fell out. How do i put it back.
My scrambler 500 ideals to high of a rpm I tried to adjust the air gas mixture still ideals to high I took the carb apart and notice the bowl had gas in it is that normal?
The needle and seat in the carb is leaking. The needle has a rubber tip and drys out and shrinks, letting gas pour out the overflow tube on the bottom of the carb. I would replace it.
I am having problems getting the float out and everything why it is stuck in there so tight and does the needle and seat come out before the float comes out?
Thanks was a lot more helpful none of the other videos explained what the bottom hose was for , thanks again

That should do the trick.

If all else fails you cam buy an aftermarket carb for 40 bucks on ebay. Its very easy to clean. I'm sure you'll be fine.
The only way you'll learn is if you try. That's the way I look at it.

Yes, it would be similar to this.
Can you do float adjustment how it's supposed be at please love videos
Thanks. Where did you get parts for that carb. Cause i have mikuni carb cant find the diaphragm with accelerator
Still love my older Scrambler 400, direct engine crank shaft drive, way simpler and reliable....
I agree.
Thank you for your videos where would you suggest get a card kit for the verisign carburetor

Man I’m having problems with my Polaris sportsman 500 HO carb is leaking when fourwheerler is off
Thanks again, Great job.
How many turns does the pilot jet screw take?

I believe it's just tje washer and the jet. It screws back in th we bottom.

How much would you charge to do the carburetor on the 500 Polaris?
I'm actually doing this 4 a customer & don't have a clue wat to charge!!! Lol
I have a 2010 sportsman 500ho and it is continuously leaking gas out the bottom of the carb? Do i just need to clean it or replace something?
The needle and seat in the carb is leaking. The needle has a rubber tip and drys out and shrinks, letting gas pour out the overflow tube on the bottom of the carb. I would replace it.
Gracias hermano fué de gran ayuda
What about putting a carburetor on a Polaris 2x I think I might be missing some parts I need some tips please
What year? I thought they were efi.
I am having problems getting the float out and everything why it is stuck in there so tight and does the needle and seat come out before the float comes out?
Take a punch and a hammer and push the float pin out. the needle will be attached to the float. with the float out you can get to the seat.
Now how do you put it back on?
I have gas leaking out of my bowl and it only runs when I hold the throttle, thoughts??
Yup...your needle and seat are leaking in the carb. I would rebuild the carb with a kit. It will solve your issues.
opened up a similar carb and it doesn’t have a needle is that normal?
Is it a polaris carb? Mikuni?
Can u make a video how to set the Jets I can't find a video so can u pls 🥺
It's bad enough it won't run at all
Screw them in to where they are tight but not over tight
