There is an awful lot of good stuff here at a very early stage, but you can feel the influence of 'Phil the Performance Coach' all through it, with lyrics like "look at myself" etc.....

I'm glad they kept the main riff for "Shadows Of The Cross"
All Nightmare Long is one of my favourites from Death Magnetic (although the demo version is miles better)

I liked how the riff was used in the demo version of All Nightmare Long, where the first half of the song played at a slower tempo (like Shadows of the Cross). But with the faster tempo on the Death Magnetic, the riff shed the bluesy groove licks, only striking the power chords the original riff was built upon.
So we got the chord progression from the Shadows riff, but not the groovy guitar melody that made everyone love the Shadows riff in the first place. Lol
Personally, Im all for the original Shadows of the Cross riff still being on the table for another new song. Or perhaps finish Shadows of the Cross for a St Anger boxset! Also, Dead Kennedy Rolls... Ive had that song's 30 second audio clip stuck in my head since friggin 2002.
