2:25 "It appears I've made a critical oversight". We've all been there, bro. :-) Thanks for including the mistakes. It helps the new folks know what to expect.
Great video Tyler! The squeaky toy noise when you were trying to move your fully loaded bench had me gutrolling. Keep it up buddy, you are going to be big!
You should make those work rests available. I can't do fancy computer drawings to send off for cutting, but I'd sure buy a couple of those finished rests. Got a 2x48 that I use all the time, but the OEM work rest is pitiful bent pot metal about as strong as a soup can. I keep thinking about adding something like you've done, borrowing from Jason's idea. ;)
Sorry Tyler, but I had to laugh at your struggles with the height of your stand. I have had those days myself, so I can sympathize (and laugh at the situation). Cool build man. God bless you.
Now you just need another one with cut-outs that match the wheel radius! A full set up for accurate grinding no matter the job! Not gonna lie, I’m incredibly impressed with how badass younger people are today! Old farts who whine about millennials are just grouchy because they sucked at life and trashed the world, and hate seeing us actually care about problems they overlooked or using modern advancements to go further in life than they did... plenty of older people adapted and evolved (like Maker King, Jimmy!) and those are the people we should pay attention to as role models.
Laughing hard right now, thinking about the face Alec would have made if you had misspelled grinder... Ultimate Accessories for Alec Steele's Grindr!!! (I know I can have strange humor some times!) ;-D
0:18 My vaccum has more horsepower. 3.5 Tbh 3.5 feels like too much for a vaccuum (it's one of those big ones without wheels) but it has to pull a lot of air in so I think it kinda makes sense
Tyler (and everyone else) - please keep in mind that Alec doesn't make these!! They're made by an Australian family owned small business, 84 Engineering!

Something satisfying about a maker making a mistake, not to be spiteful to the person; but realising we arent alone in getting things wrong.

Fantastic! Big fan of the grinder upgrades.

Do you mean grindr
It's cool how you are trying different techniques to expand your skills.
And thanks for keeping it real and showing obstacles as well!

You are the kind of guy Tyler who would have so much fun with CNC machining.
We love you Tyler! You are an amazing maker. I can’t wait to watch you grow and get this channel HUGE!
Fusion 360 does have a sheet metal tab that does the bend calculations for you
Send Cut Send makes me want to just make something just to have it cut out of metal! The stand turned out awesome.
Your amazing Tyler. You are my hero 🦸🏻♂️
It's so much fun following on IG, the behind the scenes stuff, and seeing the final RUclips video! Great project, super build!

Wow, making it big the world of RUclips, congrats!
Excellent film, love your editing and ability to tell a story. The "fails" are just as important as the successes. Mahalo for sharing! : )

Great video 👍🏻
This is incredible and I’d love to have one! [Still need the room & building to put it in, though.😉]
Great stuff mate. Love that you share your mistakes. Shows that your having a go
Just awesome..😍😍
I was like: what a nice grinder let's buy one - then I saw the price is over 1000$ and realized metalwork is my hobby and not my Job ... So ... Nope
Love it
Sorry Tyler, but I had to laugh at your struggles with the height of your stand. I have had those days myself, so I can sympathize (and laugh at the situation). Cool build man. God bless you.
I hope you know this ingenious guy named Jeremy Schmidt
i have a question, woud you show your welding equipment?
Love this, Tyler! I have a Shopmate 48 on the way... do you have these plans on offer anywhere? Keen on the bench stand!

Looks great but next time try dry fitting and testing before committing lol we’ve all been there
What does Alec Steele say? ‘Need a tool, make a tool.’

those feet look awesome!
Q: Do you buy your steel locally or online? Any online suppliers to recommend?
Onlinemetals.com is where I buy online!
Why are you building teh ULTIMATE grinder, but still bend metal with a hammer? O_o
Ps: the grinder looks sick! ; )
Wow
Measure twice, cut trice, bang stuff into stuff and shake your head about your own stupidity - I think every maker knows this suffering... 🤪😁😁😁
Forgot to measure twice cut once. Lol
Wow I’m one of the first commenters
