I appreciate this approach. Just because it's exclusively hosted by a news company, and won't see the silver screen, doesn't mean it's a bad film. I'm not even a big fan of DW generally, but this movie is worth watching. I've seen the "$804" figure, but it's to be expected, since it isn't shown elsewhere. The real sad bit is that you can't order it elsewhere, because I want to recommend it to just about every western fan, who (believe it or not) don't have DW subscriptions.
Actually, according to Gina Carano, it DID make money somehow. Maybe some overseas theatres screened it? But when one journalist tried to point out how little money it made in an attempt to own her, she responded by saying that the movie _should've_ made zero dollars.
I absolutely despise the AnTi-WoKe marketing behind it, it’s so pretentious, so I’m surprised it’s apparently a good film. I’d like to give it a watch despite DailyWire’s annoying promotions, if it’s a good movie it’s a good movie and that’s what should matter.

Ripley from Alien and Aliens was also an excellent example of a strong female character. One that was feminine yet willing to do what was necessary to protect others. Regarding the music, No Country For Old Men didn't feature music either, or it was used incredibly sparing, and its lack added to the atmosphere.

I have the suspicion the Daily Wire at some point will end up like any other streaming service, they admit they care so much about creator's intent and saving the film landscape but ends up making cheap platform-original schlock no one cares too much about. Now to admit not everything they put out will be that way, or that platform-original content is all dumb (Stranger Things, Squid Game, Narcos, Mandalorian, The Boys), but the really good originals are the exception to the overwhelming majority of trash streaming services churn out. This is only my crude inference things may be different in the future anyway, but it's not impossible for Daily Wire to eventually end up like this.

Terror on the Prairie is a great example of what movies SHOULD be doing… telling great stories that have no political agendas within them. This doesn’t just apply to just movies, but also television, comics, theater, etc.
While I get your point and mostly agree, I feel compelled to point out that many greats works of fiction do have a political agenda in them, and the politics is a big part of what makes them so great. "1984" to pick a low hanging fruit as an example. Themes in in general tend to be better when there's some sort of politics involved, mostly because it means the creator has something coherent they want to say. I think where most of the political stories which get called out go wrong (aside from, y'know, bad storytelling decisions in general) is that they attempt to preach their theme instead of respecting the audience and and treating it as an idea for the audience to explore and make conclusions on.

I recently joined the DailyWire and had the opportunity of watching this movie and as a watcher of movies for nearly 7 decades I can say that this movie is not a political perspective just a crappy movie with poor writing and direction. They should have asked Clint Eastwood to Direct it. It seems to be one of many movies I have seen of late where those that are shooting guns are the lousiest shots. The scene where the husband finally came to the rescue instead of using his "expertise" as a shooter, decides to ride up on them and take them on in a fist fight 3 against 1 instead of picking them off one at a time, but since no one else in the movie can shoot he probably couldn't either. Of course the group of reprobates were as incompetent as their personalities were rendered. They couldn't even surround the cabin and shoot through the window to get her. Eventually they set the place on fire which they should have done in the first place. Although the movies environment of the ruggedness of life on the prairie was a genuine display it just didn't have a feel of a balanced attempt.
I'd say as someone whose politics pretty much lean further to the left (though I'm not a Democrat or Republican supporter largely because Indonesian politics are way different than US politics), the movie feels rather interesting. Never really watched it, but looking at your review, it just reminds me of those childhood Western movies that I see kids mimic on the streets. Also, it feels less like an "anti-woke" film since like these kind of Westerns are pretty much made by filmmakers of every political alignment. Like there isn't really much of, well, anything that even indicated their supposed "anti-wokeness" (like sure, it is backed up the Daily Wire, but that's just pretty much it, there isn't any overt message about how "wokeness is a disease" or even any conservative ideology present in the film).
It's not ANTI-WOKE it's just a normal movie. Woke has gone so far off the deep end, that not being aligned exactly with their agenda makes you anti-woke, when in reality its just being normal.

I’ve heard of The Daily Wire and seen some clips of their shows, and while I don’t agree with everything they stand for, I was genuinely curious to see if they could put the money where their mouth was and make a good film that didn’t have the propaganda they fight against without it being that very same thing. I might check it out now. At least DW is being consistent with what they want. They constantly rail against the bog-standard, strong female trope Hollywood cranks out like Captain Marvel or live-action Mulan, so they actually wrote a strong female for being, well, pretty smart and resourceful. That’s soo refreshing. It’s how the recent Predator movie did so too and I love it for it. Hopefully, they can keep this up for their future endeavours.
