Hi mick I have a question for you see if you can help I have a lawnflite pro td500h now the cylinder won't turn ive had the side of all looks good but I can't see how the cylinder cable Ingages hope this makes sense many thanks

Thank you so much for this Mick. I now know what the problem with my failed gearbox is. I've found a guy who will refurb for £150, so not worth the grief of doing it myself.

I thought so too, however he hasn't got back to me, so looks like I may have to do it myself. Could you give me a link to where I can get the parts?
Total costs £158 not including labour costs.
In Australia we just have wheels on the push/self-propelled Honda mowers.

Mo wee shop properly just change the genuine gearbox in full, keeping yours for parts or to rebuild later.

Do you have a video of stripping a HWS rather than the HRS?
I have an issue in so much that the rear wheels will not rotate in opposite directions in order to pivot the lawnmower but I do t want to start taking apart until I know where I’m going. Unfortunately, all the instructions I can find all relate to the roller variant.
I don’t suppose you have anything or can point me in the right direction?

clach = clutch vat = that underneff = underneath sharft = shaft firty = thirty
This is a very useful video - many thanks. I have got the same sort of mower. Please can you confirm whether the two halves of the roller are supposed to rotate independently of each other to make it easier turning round corners? On my one both halves just rotate together all the time. I thought they were supposed to have a differential effect but no sign of that in the mechanism?
I don't believe they do...
@@themowerman Thanks mate. That is what I was thinking - some of the old glossy brochures (eg a Cobra one) claim otherwise but they are plain wrong.
Hey Mick, you mentioned that the liquid grease isn't available anymore! Try searching Semi fluid grease, loads of different types available and is an excellent modern equivalent to the old Bentonite grease found in Peerless Tecumseh gearboxes! Scooped out of the pits of Hell that stuff!!! 😝

Hello mate I’ve followed these steps and the mower keeps dropping down on the right side and the roller is not level, what could this be as I’ve made sure everything is tightened up?
@@niallebenfield-york636 as you look at the mower from the front.. is it the left or right side.. front or back?

H I mick can you halpme fix my Honda kaaz danarm the lever on the choke don't turn off
@@angieandkeithhales8936 ok so have you tried adjustment of the cable.. undo it at the carb end by undoing the screw. Then set to choke on the arm.. pull the cable to the back of the mower at the carb end and do up the screw.. try that first
Hi, I ve just last night took the roller of my Kaaz mower, gave it a clean up and greased some of the parts( probably some parts I shouldn’t have), I put it all back together, and now the right hand side of the roller won’t hold the same height as the left(it drops as soon as any weight is put on it, any advice please?
It must be one of the side bolts is missing I would say...
Just had it apart again. I d lost the keyway where the bracket fits to the left side of roller. Improvised with the end of an old 3/8pico chainsaw file😅😂

Spiral bevel gear turns it in to a high speed gearbox, also dog clutch is 1mm taller, and pinion is different to match the bevel. Updated fork arm also available.
Used Danarm uk in Nailsworth, super helpful and as cheap as anywhere..🙂
