I’m a life long Mormon, and I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your perspective in this video and how understanding you are of LDS belief even though you are not involved yourself any longer. We need a lot more people like you in the world.
Hi Heather I am a NeverMo Been addicted to Mormon Stories for many many years ! So glad more former Mormons have channels … I love listening ! Thank You 😊 Kate (UK) 🇬🇧🇺🇸 PS I am a Brit currently living in San Diego 🌴☀️🌴
@@katie2412 thank you for listening, Katie! I definitely have more stories so share ! So glad you enjoyed it!! Love the UK! Hope you’re enjoying the sunshine in San Diego!!
I once asked the missionaries if I could join the church but not believe in everything with Joseph Smith because the only family I knew growing up that actually spent time with and seemed to care about their kids and not smoke and drink was a mormon family and I so badly wanted that.
Thanks for sharing your truth. I absolutely understand, as now that I've grown up I realize what a blessing it was to have two parents who cared so much about us kids. Wishing you all the best.
I moved to Utah in 2019. I live in the southern part of the valley and most of my neighbors are LDS. I respect and appreciate their beliefs but I'll never join the church because I don't believe the Joseph Smith story. I can't get behind anyone who took underage girls as "wives".
@@tyrelkoyle8315 The fact is, none of us can know for certain exactly what the context of Joseph Smith's relationships were with any of these underage girls. If you were having sex with someone under age, how many people are you going to tell? Even under the guise of "The angels told me to do it" or some other excuse. And Brigham Young did it also, so this wasn't an isolated case. For me, this completely undermines the credibility of the man who professed to see the golden plates and translate them... and even the so-called witnesses never claimed to have seen the plates with their own 2 eyes. Instead, the claimed they saw them with their "spiritual eyes".... I'm sure they also only saw the underage girls with their "spiritual eyes" also.

He was just sealed to them. He never lived with them or had any kids with anyone other than Emma.

Absolutely understand that. I think we can respect aspects that align with our own values.
