Good vid Sam. Very much enjoyed as always. I was on a whatsapp group chat during the Rangers v Morton match on Saturday, and I predicted Kilmarnock would beat Celtic 1-0. So I'm delighted, not only for the Killie fans but that my prediction was spot on as well. Derek McInnes certainly wasn't kidding during pre-season, when he said he wanted Kilmarnock to be challenging the old firm this year.
As a Celtic supporter, let me say well done Kilmarnock. I’m making no excuses at all, we were beaten by the better team on the day. I wish Killie good luck for the rest of the season, good team, good manager 👍
I’m a rangers fan and I’ll also say Kilmarnock have had a fantastic start to the season, two victories against the old firm and a hard fought draw at tynecastle, and yet to concede a goal. I think McInnes is a great manager and will continue to get killie grinding results.
Was at the Hearts match, thought Killie could easily make top 6 with that team, it felt near impossible to break them down. Maybe even push for top 4, but I never got a good feel for how good their attackers were, it was a total stalemate. Obviously it's extremely early doors but it was one of the better performances I've seen at Tynecastle from a team outside the Old Firm for a few years.
The Auld Firm is nothing like it used to be and probably will never see those amazing days of the 80's 90's etc. So yes come on Hearts and Killie etc and make Scottish football worth watching again. West Ham here.

Just some perspective on Scottish football... Aberdeen TV quote before the match against Stirling Albion - 'We're never gonna judge our season on how we do against Celtic'. Follwed by - 'Celtic game, I think you can write off'. This shows the mentality of certain clubs in Scotland when coming up against the old firm. Of course in Aberdeen's case, this would have never been said about Rangers - simply an observation. What Kilmarnock have shown, is that if you have some belief in your own ability and do your homework, results can be had against both teams. We can blame plastic pitches all we want but the reality is, both sides, both with vastly larger budgets, were outplayed on the day. That attitude from Aberdeen's commentators is pathetic. Even while striving to be the third best club in Scotland, how you do against Celtic or Rangers should give you a measure of success for the season. Unless you're telling your supporters you have no intention of even attempting to close the gap. These particular quotes coming across somewhat ironic, given who the current Killie manager is. The Scottish league would be so much better if everyone else followed suit, rather than accepting defeat before a ball was kicked.
