Well, you are interested in automobiles then I would recommend you to pursue automobile engineering after 12th. The subjects of core engineering are common between mechanical and automobile engineering but you will learn deeply about various systems of automobiles, specifically about electric and hybrid vehicles, special purpose vehicles, automotive control systems, vehicle maintenance and most importantly vehicle dynamics.

Sure you can work in automobile industry. Your skills in AI and ML are necessary for developing Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) for cars. Work on projects related with ADAS and go deeper into this, it will allow you to work in this field.

I am not aware about KIET lekin Chitkara university ka ARAI Academy ke saath tie-up hai. Even LPU ke kuch students ke saath mera contact hai and they have mentioned that it is a good university.
Do we get to learn and use the CNC machines (modern/old/automatic/hand operated etc) of all types if we take automobile engineering (in LPU)

Christ University, Bangalore does offer Automobile Engineering. The concepts taughts in the course of Mechatronics Engineering are applicable in making Automotive Control Systems. So if you want you can learn about electronic control system while pursuing Automobile Engineering because for building Automotive Control Systems you need to know Vehicle Dynamics, which is only taught in Automobile Engineering.

Pursuing Bachelor's in Automobile Engineering after diploma in CSE can be difficult and also many universities wont allow it. But that doesn't stop you from learning about automobile engineering. There are CSE engineers working in automotive industry, basically when it comes to developing ADAS systems, engineers from CSE, Electrical and Electronics background are desired. You can learn about various automotive systems by yourself while pursuing CSE and use your knowledge and skills of CSE to make those ADAS systems. You already know where to get the knowledge for automobile engineering, if not, I have written books that will be helpful to you.

I went through the colleges website and checked their placements tab. The placements for the students of diploma automobile engineering has improved in last three years for this college. They have mentioned the names of the companies that came for the placement drives, but they haven't mentioned the designation or the job description of the students that got placed. Based on these facts, yes it does have good placements as per every diploma engineering college. The job opportunity for diploma engineers is more in service and manufacturing industry and you can expect the same from this college.

Yes. It is a good university. I did my diploma and bachelor's from Parul. It has good student motorsport team as well, and it is highly active. So you better have an aim to be a part of their team if you are getting admission in Parul.

Hi. Thank you for reaching out and I trust you are sure about becoming an Automotive Journalist. So for an automotive journalist, its not necessary that you should pursue automobile engineering. Basically you need to have some good knowledge about cars and how their systems work and you need good communication skills. Which you can always do while pursuing B.Des. Unless you want to get into building cars then you need to do automobile engineering, but as you have already cleared this out so I wont go on that side of engineering because there is amazing scope in engineering if you learn right skills and go deeper into them.

All you need to be is Petrolhead or Automotive Enthusiast and have good communication skills in possibly one language. Yes it would be beneficial to know how various systems of cars and bikes work which you can start learning right now by reading my books. And yes, all you have to take action and maybe write about cars or bikes or make videos regarding them whatever you are comfortable with.

Ask them what kinda skills they are looking for, and if you have those skills then ask them if they are hiring interns or not. Look for job listings on Linkedin, official company websites and newspapers and apply in them. You will need to apply into many companies.

And I want a university which offers only automobile engineering. I also have a doubt about lpu brother is it good for automobile engineering. SRM has 3 courses 1. Automobile engineering 3.5 years 2. Automotive( Ev and hybrid ) 4 years 3 Vehicle electronics. Among those which is better to choose. But to choose an automobile course which is 3.5 years. I have a major problem brother. This is true that majority of the universities are either converting automobile engineering into EV engineering or adding more subjects related to EVs. Honestly, no matter if you study automobile engineering or so called EV engineering, you are going to learn the same topics, the same subjects which are taught in automobile engineering. Trust me, you want to learn about EVs and Hybrids if you want to stay relevant and sustainable in this field. Talking about 3.5 year course, well, I wouldn't recommend that. Select a 4 year long course. Speaking about Vehicle Electronics, well you can self learn that while pursuing automobile engineering/so called EV engineering, if you are interested in automotive electronics. Even in case of automotive electronics, they will teach you the same subjects of automobile engineering but with addition of electronics. Hopefully they will cover AEC standards, and in-vehicle communication protocols etc.

Honestly, Government college ke engineering students ko kafi achi placement opportunities milti hai than many private colleges. But you must also check its NIRF ranking in Engineering category. If the college you want to pursue your engineering from ranks in Top 50 NIRF ranked colleges in Engineering category, then definitely you will get good placement opportunities.

Dekho this is true that automobile engineering is a sub branch of mechanical engineering but not everything about automobile engineering is taught in mechanical. There are many common subjects between mechanical and automobile engg which are related with "Design Engineering", and the topics of automobile engg is covered in barely 1-2 subjects in mechanical engg. While in automobile engg you will learn deeply about every automotive systems and it also focuses on advance subjects like Electric and Hybrid vehicles, special purpose vehicles, agriculture and farm equipments, automotive certification and homologation, automotive control systems and most importantly Vehicle Dynamics. Vehicle Dynamics is the subject that sets an automobile engineer apart from a mechanical engineer. So I believe this give you a clear idea of the difference between mechanical and automobile engineering and help you to decide which one to go for.

Hi. You should check out the D Y Patil college of engineering in Pune and Pillai College of engineering in new panvel if you want to stay in maharashtra. If you are comfortable to move out then I would recommend the colleges I mentioned in the video. Other than that, you will be able to find more colleges in Maharashtra in the comment section of this video

Hi, thank you for appreciating. IT engineers can also work in Automobile industry, but you need to develop skills and knowledge for it, which are usually not taught in curriculum. Automotive Control Systems and Automotive Electronics are the subjects you must focus on to pursue career in automotive industry. Make projects related to In-vehicle communication protocols, or V2V/V2G communication. Other than this you can also think of making stability control algorithms or data acquisition systems or ADAS systems or X-By Wire Tech. You build a good base for these tech, I would recommend you to read Powertrain and Systems In A Nutshell and my upcoming book Vehicle Dynamics In A Nutshell.

If you have the right skills and knowledge for a particular department of the automobile industry then I don't think you cannot get a job. You need to develop the right skills for that one job, if you try to develop multiple skills that can be used in multiple jobs then even the companies will find it difficult to choose a proper department for you. Secondly, you are thinking of going for aeronautical engineering in your Bachelor's, so can tell me how many aeronautical-based manufacturing companies are present in India? Are there any manufacturing plants of Boeing or AirBus? India lacks the infrastructure for manufacturing aircraft. Yes, you can use the knowledge of aerodynamics and still get a job in the automobile industry with a BE in aeronautical, which you can also learn from BE in Automobile engineering as well. See I am trying to convince you to go for automobile engineering, that's the job of the admissions dept of universities. All I want you to know is to do thorough research on both branches and see if they have scope in India or not. I am from one branch and I can tell you that definitely there is a scope for automobile engineering in India, but I suppose you should also consult someone who has pursued aeronautical engineering and ask them about its scope in India, maybe you will get better opportunities abroad for that if you have that as a plan.
