The events from that time line were erased by the end of the game, but it's perfectly reasonable to infer that a completely separate dimension wouldn't be affected by time travel in the original dimension. I mean, after all, if Blaze's dimension didn't transcend Sonic's', then Sonic Rush wouldn't have existed. :D And I totally agree, Blaze rocks.
I really wish they mixed Blaze's version as the Modern version of Sonic Generations 3DS. I like the main riff slightly better, though at least they added the extra trumpets and cymbals in the Modern version.

I have so many Sonic Games with awesome VGM. Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic and The Black Night, Sonic Rush, Sonic Mega Collection Plus, Sonic Unleashed, and I think that's it besides Sonic flash games.

Meaning Blaze ends up in an alternate dimension in Sonic's timeline. And that explains why Blaze is from an alternate dimension in Sonic Rush but not Sonic 06. Anybody understand a word I just said? xD
@RemiusTheAwesome I'm not a stranger to Brawl, I normally use Sonic in HP battles but in % battles I use my Side Smash or Backwards Throw, which normally works.

Sonic 06, which is part of the main storyline, had her be from the future instead of an alternate dimension. And I like the whole "alternate dimension" story better, which is why I wish it were that way on the consoles.
Blaze is easily the best female character, though I wish that she were still from an alternate dimension in the main series rather than the future... Really. Sonic Rush is probably one of the best new Sonic Games. It goes back to Sonic's 2D roots, and, despite the extremely cheesy moral of the game (you've gotta learn to trust and make friends!), it has a pretty good storyline as well. Also, like I said before, you can't deny that Blaze is a good character. :)
@PiplupPeanut actually, sonic rush and it's sequel were straight up THE best recent sonic games. sonic 4 comes really close so far, but hasn't quite reached that level.
I think it could be done if Shadow was made like a slower contrast to Sonic, but with more strength. It could maybe make sense, since Shadow isn't too active unless he's pissed about something. XD And replace sonic's homing dash with a chargeable chaos spear, and super transformation with chaos control maybe.
@WSBM14 why wasn't blaze in brawl too? i think they should of put more music from this game and sonic advance and another sonic character or 2 but i'm just happy they put at least sonic in there:)
On every other level track, I either prefer or equally like Blaze's version compared to Sonic's, but in this case, I prefer Sonic's. Though this version has the bells that sound like a snow/ice level.
this specific version of 'back 2 back' really evokes memories of sonic the hedgehog 3, for me. musically. sonic 3 was something else, wasn't it? it sorta makes me wanna fire up my emulator to play it again. (don't worry: i have a copy of the actual catridge, so it's not stealing. ;-).)
True true but his moveset would be a mix between Sonic from Brawl and Mewtwo from Melee. It would be a little unfair considering he would have to be fast AND strong. Though if they do go with it (hypothetically), they should careful not to overpower him.
Nintendo gets more publicity for each 3rd party character they put in... even if they are from the same series. They can do far better than only 2 in brawl. 3rd party support helps both sides because of the publicity the Smash Bros. series gets. It will only make the series bigger and therefore should cause the developers to put more effort in and make it a truly great game. Why U Hate'n?
While both games had awesome music, each had its own flavor. While Sonic music tends to be more playful, TWEWY had a more dramatic soundtrack that had a bit more depth to the various beats than Sonic's stylish music. I'd say, since they're a tad different, they're equally as good.
