I have the Mini since launch day and I absolutely love it. I’d be pissed if Apple discontinued the Mini series at any time in the future. I always hated huge smartphones
Hey man, I’m a mini user here. Everything was great until the other day I was trying to shoot a video of candles on a birthday cake in complete dark. And i got this completely annoying reflection from the candles. But then I switched to wide angle lens and it was okay. Does it happen to yours too?

Because of you, I upgraded from the SE 2020 to the iPhone 12 mini. Hahaha. Still happy with my SE 2020, though. But the screen size of this is just an awesome upgrade!

I hate buying electronic stuff (I still have a landline in my house), but knew it was probably time to upgrade from my current iPhone 5S. Searching for reviews, etc., I found you and appreciate ALL your thorough videos. I'm going with the 12 mini.
I bought the iPhone 12 mini and received it on launch day! I’ve enjoyed it ever since I thought that I’d have a hard time with the phone because I haven’t owned a small phone in almost 10 years. I came from the iPhone 11 and it was a great change over. I’ve had great battery life with this phone and it gets me though the day. People complain about battery life but it last up there with the iPhone 11 that I had and that phone had a 1000 mah battery that was bigger. I have easily gotten 8 hours most of the time from this phone. I don’t use 5G much because it doesn’t really matter at this point it’s too early. I didn’t think I’d like it but after the first couple of days i was hooked, it’s pocket friendly and it’s almost like I don’t have a phone in my pocket and believe me when I say I have had to check twice to make sure I still had it in my pocket! Over all I think this phone has gotten a bad rap because it’s too small for people because most people want massive phones to watch and stream on but apple knew that there was a small amount of people out there that wanted this phone I really hope they bring out a iPhone 13 mini this coming year!

I sold my iPhone 12 for an iPhone 12 mini few months back and I am so glad I did.
In the last few months, I’ve had an epiphany. I NEED this phone and since I am trading in my xs, it will cost me 6.24 a month for the 256 mini.
I’ve always loved the 4/4s and this is the closest we’ve gotten back to that with almost all of the tech!

Yeah big phones always have a problems when come to size,It do fit on your pocket but you can feel the weight on your pocket and then you just need put it on your back pocket either way put in the bag.I always put my phone in the bag because it's pain in the ass to put in the pocket it's feels heavy
Essentially, the only real difference between the 12 Mini and the Pro/Pro Max is the LiDAR scanner and the telephoto lens. The smaller phones have their appeal ...
As a road cyclist 🚴🏻♀️ I love this phone I can take awesome pictures and it fits perfectly on my uniform jerseys 😍 Also excellent for running 🏃🏻♀️ too!
The iphone 12 mini should have been the iphone se 2020. I wonder if that’s why they’re not selling well. Most people today don’t want to pay that much for a small phone.
But I’m with you. I wanted an smaller iphone. I kept my original se for 4 years hoping apple would come out with another small phone.

I got the 12 mini not too long ago and I love it, got it in product red or as I call it, product pinkish red lol. I came from the xr as I wanted something smaller being that I’m a little person and have small hands. I loved my xr, everything was perfect except for the size. The only issue I was worried about with the 12 mini was battery life but it’s actually really good, especially if you turn off different things in the settings which I did with the help of some youtubers. I don’t plan on upgrading to the 13 and hopefully will have this for a long time

I hope they continue it. I'm still happy with my iPhone 11, but I would like to have a smaller carry around phone next time I upgrade. I can use the money I save to buy an iPad to watch movies on before I go to bed.

IMO The mini should have been a pro version with a triple camera to separate it further from the SE.
Is 5% really a failure? No one is talking about what the actual target was. With 7 phones on sale, each would only get about a 15% market share if you divided it evenly. Of course, it isn't going to be even, and we don't know what the actual target was, but I would guess it is only in the 8-12% range, so 5% isn't that big a miss, and I am not at all surprised that it looks like there will probably be a 13 Mini.

I would. If it didn't cost more than my Mac Mini. Seriously. The 2020 SE can be had for $150 (Total Wireless, w/ 25% off new customer coupon), the 12 mini isn't 4.5 times the phone the new SE is, yet it's 5 times the price.
Apple did a bad job marketing this device. Since they eliminated the SPlus models which is what I’m assuming this phone is replacing they should have totally redesigned the SE model to the mini design with the same specs and price and just have the new redesigned SE.

@@saikoro8620 It's okay. It really depends on your screen time and use. I always enable battery saving mode, turn on dark mode and set my brightness to low.
It's a great iPhone, I agree with you, I really like the compactness of this model. Why everybody needs the huge phones? For iPhone 12 Pro Max you need to have extra bag, it's not pocket phone anymore 😂.. I wish apple keeps producing this ,,small" iPhones and give it some cool features of the PRO models. Can't wait for iPhone 13, really have big expectations for 2021. Don't disappoint me Apple! Be like Gary he never disappoints with his content 👍🏻👨💻

I think I agree with you on being my favorite iPhone as well. I love the size and the fact that the screen is less than an inch smaller than the standard iPhone screen. My biggest concern was about the battery capacity. All the reviews were talking about how you might not get a whole day out of it. For me, as long as I can go the whole day I don’t mind charging every night. My real world usage actually goes about as long as an Apple Watch 5 with always-on display (about a day and a half to sometimes even 2 days.) One reason why I can get that is that when I’m home I grab my iPad Air 4 for nearly everything, so, I rarely use my phone enough to kill the battery.
My thoughts on the sales being so low is that it’s most likely due to the staggered release schedule. I think that if they’d released all four 12 models at the same time then the Mini would have sold better overall. I do believe there is a bigger market for smaller phones than people are assuming. If they put out a 13 Mini then I think we’ll see it get the better sales.

I love the small size and have been binging reviews before buying it to see if I really want it and it really seems like q great phone for people like me who love the mobility with the functionality and practicality I hope Apple continues the mini phone lineup!
I’ve been using the 12 pro max since it was released and on Friday I went and bought a 12 mini and I’m loving it. It is now my everyday phone.

@@naeg2001 so I have ended my day having to charge the mini around 8pm I get up around 5am so it’s not bad at all honestly. Some days I go harder on watching videos so I could imagine those days I’ll have to charge earlier for the mini. The max I can go to bed with like 30 percent left on real heavy screen time days so there is a big difference in battery. Really depends how heavy of a user you are.

The iPhone 12 mini is the phone that I look forward to buying! Because the current phone I use is SE s1. It’s so complete to use with hand size and it’s still working good just a bit slow and lags by the version update. Soon going to buy 12 mini to change it.

Having not looked at the specs I was curious if I could really deal with a smaller size, but as it turns out since I'm still rocking an 8 Plus, the screen is only 0.1" smaller. I think I'll be fine with it.

People always criticize the Mini saying it'll have awful battery life...but people who want a smaller phone are used to smaller batteries (and older phones with degrading batteries) and my Mini blows my 8 out of the water. I go to bed with like, 40% left. What the hell do people do that they need such insane battery life?!

I was first drawn to the mini bcos it's too easy to handle, second is knowing how fluid ios is (i'm not missing the lag of my previous mi9 phone). one may argue ios is missing a lot of android features and it's bcos it is highly customizable but ios is getting there. Ios is late in terms of other features but when they do it it's so perfect you'd thought they were the first who introduced it.
Just an fyi at&t is offering the 12 mini 64gb for only $36 and the 128gb for $180! I just ordered miine!
I went from an Xs to a 12 Mini, mainly because since swapping to the Xs from my iPhone 8, I've always felt the Xs was a tiny bit too big for my pockets. I think I must have gotten used to the size of the Xs, as the 12 Mini still feels quite small in the hand (that's not really a criticism, more of an observation), but what I love the most is how it feels in my pockets, almost imperceptible! It also fits in my shirt top pockets easily, which is something which always felt a bit cumbersome with the Xs. I'm also very impressed with the screen, it looks fantastic and incredibly detailed.
The battery life isn't too terrible from my experience. It seems roughly the same as my Xs, which to be fair wasn't amazing either, but, I'm never far from a charger these days so it's been a non-issue thus far. I gave my Xs to my Mum, so it's now having a much easier life!

Every time that I’ve the tiniest regret about buying a mini(just because of the battery life really) instead of the regular 12 I just watch your iPhone 12 mini worship videos-yeah , worship there I said it- I felt amazing man. Thank you 🙏 For those who think about buying one, just don’t mind the battery thing because this device charges like crazy fast. I cannot believe me eyes when I first charged it but it’s the real deal guys

Picked up the 12 mini on a promo Verizon had last December- my iPhone 7 and $5 / month for 24 months. One of the best purchases I have made. Really dislike big phones and the mini is perfect size.
