The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, The Emperor's New Groove, Toy Story Movies, The Aristocats, The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under, Bambi, Fantasia 1940 and 2000, The Lion King 1 and 2 and Robin Hood 1973
The Lion King, Toy Story, Inside Out, Frozen and Tangled.. These really transport me to remember my childhood and my previous life no worries, and I only enjoyed these movies but now I appreciate their lessons and scenes more
_The Lion King_ is my favorite Disney movie of all time. Everytime I put it on, my cares just melt away from the gorgeous animation, great soundtrack, and loveable characters. Hakuna Matata indeed.
I love that between "Coco", "Encanto" and "Turning Red", Disney isn't afraid to tackle generational trauma, and how the actions of previous generations effect those in the present.
Inside Out is one of Pixar’s greatest movies. I feel like it was made because of the times we live in. Mental health issues have been ignored and swept under the rug for a long time and it’s important for everyone that’s struggling to get the help they need. It’s important to open up about your feelings because so many people (particularly men) are afraid to open up because of the fear of being judged as being weak. If you’re struggling, please seek help. I’d rather listen to your story than attend your funeral. ❤
yeah, thanks to Inside Out, I learned that Sadness is also a beautiful emotion to embrace when crying, because that way we also relieve and release our pain.. the first time I saw a part of it, it had something special for me, it did differently like masterful, unic and meaningful
"Ohana means Family. Family means that nobody gets left behind, or forgotten." I love the message of Found Family, and how you don't have to be blood related to consider each other family.
Inside Out is one of the best Disney animations of all time. I watched it at the insistence of my granddaughter to amuse her. And I loved it! It gave me happy tears, especially in the final act. Also, "Just keep swimming," is something I repeat to myself almost every day.
12:46 "Come for the songs, stay for the touching bond between sisters." The scene they decide to show: Anna singing while Elsa is having an emotional breakdown *seems touching indeed*
Yes, I also think Walt himself would have liked it, it has a great story and I like how it explores the culture of Colombia in Latin America , plus the characters and songs.
‘Inside Out’ is definitely one of the best animated films in 2010s. If there is a possible sequel, then millions of fans who did watched ‘Inside Out’ will be so hyped.
I love how moments like these are pretty common in Disney films! In fact almost no animated Disney movie would be complete without comforting moments like these!
Disney gave me those uplifting childhood memories, but I feel much at comfort with Sleeping Beauty, Tarzan, Dumbo, The Lion King, Toy Story, Encanto, Frozen, etc.
Being comforting, these are special movies for me, and also having very relatable characters, the most for me are: Toy Story (it reminds me of my love for my childhood and it has great life lessons and also friendship), The Lion King (of course, beyond Hakuna Matata, there is inmense solace when Mufasa and Simba meet again after his appearance; like to Simba, this movie did teach us that we can pay tribute to those we've lost while forging ahead; also is comforting for me how Simba always had the love of his father and his friends to his side), Inside Out (it taught me that Sadness is also a beautiful emotion to embrace when crying, because that way we also relieve and release our pain), The Princess and the Forg (it comfort me seeing to Tiana striving and working hard for make her dream come true, inspiring me to doing it too), Frozen (yeah, it's touching the bond of sisters between Elsa and Anna), Encanto (I love how this movie is about the family's love and what a home really is, and how through Mirabel we learn to be empathetic) and Tangled (for her joy of Rapunzel to feel the freedom and make her dream come true)
Encanto always makes me cry (especially in the part where Mirabel apologizes with her Abuela, with tears un her eyes) happy tuesday Ms Mojo, take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
Disney has already make the perfect remake to "The Little Mermaid", but it had a male protagonist and was set in the jungle instead of the ocean. If you think about it, Tarzan has a lot in common with Ariel, Jane with Eric, and Kerchak with King Triton.
My brother has never fully cried over a movie. Toy Story 3 is the one that got him crying like a fountain. Also, I love that Sebastian Yatra sang Dos Oruguitas
It’s not my all time favourite Disney/Pixar movie, but Ratatouille is my absolute number one warm hug Disney film. It has so much conflict that I care, but not so much that I’m stressed, and I always come away just feeling a lot better, not in the same way my absolute favourites like the Lion King or Toy Stories 2&3 just drain my life force 😂
I always love The Toy Story Franchise, as I always enjoyed the adventures of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and Bo Peep the 1st film all the way to the 4th film.
"The Little Mermaid": Now *THAT'S* the Disney film, or at least one of the Disney films, that I'd probably consider among the most fun in the Disney Animated Canon. It's not just comforting but is very fun as well. It's the kind of Disney film that doesn't just have the robustness of a lot of the best Disney Animated Canon films, including the story, animation, characters, and the songs, but also a very distinct flavor of uniqueness among the Canon. Maybe it's the Carribean influence on the songs (I, and a lot of other people really like Caribbean-styled music), and the fact that it's the only Disney Renaissance animated film (and the last Disney Animated Canon film) to be done on actual cels (Xerography, painting on the back of the cels, placing them in front of the backgrounds and camera, everything, and it still looks good). It probably gets your spirit so high that you also want to make fun comments at it (when looking at the water scenes, of which there are a lot, of course, I would comment, "I wonder how many times did either the effects crew, or its supervisor, Mark Dindal, left their animation desks to take a leak?")
Most Comforting Disney Movies These Disney movies are my comforting Disney movies that puts me in a better place especially when I am grieving from such a heavy loss. Cool Runnings (with the sarcasm and humor from the characters a classic comforting movie) Moana ( the ocean always comforts me just like it did for Moana the sound of crashing waves. Having a grandmother help you a long the way. Aww makes me feel so much better. Hercules ( a heart warming sense can lead into feeling comforting with Meg, Phil and Hades Sarcasm just makes you feel so much better) Inside Out ( joining Riley getting in touch with your emotions is always a great thing to do especially when your dealing loss and grieving) Pocahontas ( getting in touch with nature gives yourself such a comforting feeling. Along with comforting music just puts you in a better mood) Tarzan ( just listening to Phil Collins music just puts you in a comforting sense that makes everything feel so much better for yourself)
I'm happy beauty and the beast, Cinderella and little mermaid but I would have like to have Aladdin as number one because genie playing all those characters in one movie is the best part and nothing is better to enjoy the song a whole new world.
I know this isn't on your list for a reason but I consider The Hunchback of Notre Dame one of my comfort movies. Also, one time, my boyfriend was feeling kinda puny, so I put on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh to cheer him up as he said that was one of his comfort movies.
I struggle with depression and I don’t always get support from those around me. Inside Out hit like a punch to the gut when I realized it was addressing depression and it’s become my go to movie whenever I’m down that helps me accept validation of my feelings while reminding me to pick myself up and try again ❤
My favorite comfort Disney movie has to be The Jungle Book 2. Mowgli struggles to find out where he wants to belong. The Human Village or the actual Jungle. I can relate to him in that way. Where should I be? Eventually, we both, figure it out😁
Can you guys do a countdown to some of the best Owen Wilson movies because I am in love with that man so my favorite character is Lightning McQueen also Jessie from Toy Story so I guess cars and Toy Story put a smile on my face but mainly Owen it's the one person that put a smile on my face:-)
Honestly, I was expecting a joke #1 on this list. You know, to trick us into thinking that it is #1 before we really get to our #1 pick? Of course, the Toy Story franchise deserves to be #1, but I was thinking The Hunchback of Notre Dame would show up as the joke #1 entry before we actually got there!
I have many comments I could make on this, like the fact that movies many times for me are not comforting at all, it’s more of a challenge, I have to strain to figure out what’s going on, my vision is highly limited, my hearing less so, but sometimes, especially in theaters, I take the hearing aids out to utilize the other of the audio description. 90% of the time I just wait for it to come out on streaming service so I can watch, pause, and restart as often as I need to. However, some things are comforting, lion, King and Tarzan are two of my absolute favorite movies, because of how comforting they are to make, even though Tarzan also was very pivotal in my development, and is very close to me for other reasons. I remember seeing, I remember being able to see them, to understand them, and understand them at a deep level, without having been to be told, was going on. It’s one of the reasons I love Atlantis, the last Empire, although any movie involving animals gets high marks for me. Moulin has also had significance for me lately, what I was forced to be versus what I want to be. Tangled is not comforting, tangle is terrifying, if you’ve ever live with narcissistic people, you understand why. If not, I can’t help you. Yes, scar is equally bad, but somehow less so because, he’s not central to the theme of the movie. And I just articulated that, good job me. Dori just keep swimming line has gotten me through more finals weeks and I can count. Reference, the bulk of my vision went downhill when I was about 14, but started going down when I was 10, Anything before about 2001, 2002, although, before my vision crashed, is bound in my memory. I remember seeing, I remember what it looked like. However, both Leo and stitch and the emperors new groove got well turned into TV shows in my childhood, I never really understood. The latter had its humor, I hadn’t figured out humor yet, I was seven, so it would take another three years before I got there. The former? I wonder if it had to do with the visuals, I’m not entirely sure why I never understood that movie. You want to know what other movies are particularly comforting to me, 101 dalmatians, the Aristocats, and the anthropomorphic rendition of Robin Hood. Along with Atlantis: the lost Empire, I love that movie the pieces.
You're being very generous to both Emperor's new groove & Cinderella And Little Mermaid is just WRONG: She gives up an important part of herself for a guy she just met. There's nothing comforting about that. Yet Aladdin doesn't even get an honorable mention . . .
Tangled Beauty and the Beast Ratatouille Toy Story Toy Story 2 Toy Story 3 Toy Story 4 The Lion King Aladdin Pinocchio Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs WALL-E Monsters, Inc. The Incredibles Tarzan Hercules Wreck-It Ralph Big Hero 6 Peter Pan The Rescuers Brave
to me all of Disney movies are all really comforting even all of Pixar movies are all really comforting they are all comforting that I can’t think which ones would be on a top 10 comforting movies list
Rotten list. You chose The Little Mermaind and Cinderella, two films with dull, weak lead characters-victims over masterpieces like Coco, which is one of the best children's movies dealing with death, anger, and grief (coming from someone who worked in hospice for 10 years) or Up, a joyful, gorgeous film about aging and hope? Shame.
Don't forget: Cars (2006) (It's funny, heartwarming, simple, being in Radiator Springs makes you feel laid back and gives you that comforting feel, and it gets creative with the car culture with a memorable cast of characters). Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (For its comforting fairytale simplicity, emotion, and dwarfs are also awesome characters). The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (It's relateable thanks to its childhood simplicity that speaks to kids and kids at heart and of course how can you not love the characters). Pinocchio (Its fairytale simplicity puts you in a good mood, you feel for its lovable cast of characters, and Pinochio himself is relatable and genuine while still a flawed individual). Sleeping Beauty (For its classic fairytale simplicity with a badass villain and the fairies are as dynamic and awesome as they are badass who move the plot forward). Peter Pan (It makes its themes of growing up and childhood realistic but relatable and it makes you feel like a kid again). Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (For its nostalgic old school golden age hollywood setting and atmosphere, various classic cartoon characters coming together under one roof that makes you feel nostalgic with a simple but engaging mystery, characters, and badass action).

Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Sleeping Beauty, and The Emperor's New Groove.
All of them are great movies 😊❤
_The Lion King_ is my favorite Disney movie of all time. Everytime I put it on, my cares just melt away from the gorgeous animation, great soundtrack, and loveable characters. Hakuna Matata indeed.
I concur. 😊😊
I love that between "Coco", "Encanto" and "Turning Red", Disney isn't afraid to tackle generational trauma, and how the actions of previous generations effect those in the present.
Those films also had great messages as well!😌
Disney is great at bringing laughs, chills, thrills, tears and comfort to us with their movies.
Inside Out is one of Pixar’s greatest movies. I feel like it was made because of the times we live in. As someone who grew up with Pixar, my expectations on Inside Out were shattered. I didn’t realize what a masterful work I was in for the first time.
yeah, thanks to Inside Out, I learned that Sadness is also a beautiful emotion to embrace when crying, because that way we also relieve and release our pain.. the first time I saw a part of it, it had something special for me, it did differently like masterful, unic and meaningful
Disney Pixar
"Ohana means Family. Family means that nobody gets left behind, or forgotten." I love the message of Found Family, and how you don't have to be blood related to consider each other family.
Lilo & Stitch still holds up really well
Lilo and Stitch us so comfirting
...and thinking of this now in light of the fires in Maui :(
Exactly i 100% agree with that.
Aww, classic Cinderella. That movie will always be a reminder of my late grandmother, she would watched it with me when I was a kid ❤❤❤❤❤❤
*Every movie on list, except encanto and inside out, were my childhood movies that I can still rewatch to this day.*
Inside Out is one of the best Disney animations of all time. I watched it at the insistence of my granddaughter to amuse her. And I loved it! It gave me happy tears, especially in the final act.
Also, "Just keep swimming," is something I repeat to myself almost every day.
encanto is literally so warm it feels like a hug
The little Mermaid is making me comfort and so is Encanto and Mairabel was hugging her grandmother
"Mary Poppins" was my childhood favorite and I can always count on it to bring me comfort.
12:46 "Come for the songs, stay for the touching bond between sisters."
The scene they decide to show: Anna singing while Elsa is having an emotional breakdown *seems touching indeed*
heavy on cinderella. such a hopeful, dreamy, romantic classic with a suffused and suggestive atmosphere
Encanto is one of the best Disney films I’ve seen in A LONG TIME. Its perfect and I think Walt would have would have loved it
Agreed, it's definitely the best Disney film since Coco, in my opinion.
I think he would also love a lot of the Disney Renaissance films and Tangled
Encanto came nod was great but then strange world came out and I can not say the same
you get it
Yes, I also think Walt himself would have liked it, it has a great story and I like how it explores the culture of Colombia in Latin America , plus the characters and songs.
I love Encanto! I like how it strays away from stereotypes and presents Mirabell as a human
Right and as a Mexican American individual with autism, I’m honored to see representation of my Hispanic brothers and sisters
1991’s ‘Beauty and the Beast.’
One of my top 5 favorite Disney animated classics.
😊
It mine too
‘Inside Out’ is definitely one of the best animated films in 2010s.
If there is a possible sequel, then millions of fans who did watched ‘Inside Out’ will be so hyped.
there is going to be a sequel
@@adamgugel4686I’ve wanted it since 2015
I love how moments like these are pretty common in Disney films! In fact almost no animated Disney movie would be complete without comforting moments like these!
yes, exactly, when I see the Disney movies, these do give me comfort and hope with its lessons and touching scenes that reach my heart
Aladdin is my favourite. Listening to the antics of Robin Williams always cheers me up!!

If I'm sick or down I can always count on a good Disney movie for comfort I'm 41 and I still love these movies lol ❤
Watching any Disney movie never gets old no matter how many times we’ve watched them or how old we are
Yeah it never gets
Boring
I always love The Toy Story Franchise, as I always enjoyed the adventures of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and Bo Peep the 1st film all the way to the 4th film.
With the 5th movie in the works, it’s gonna be difficult for them to make magic 3 decades later
Just saw Encanto. Great movie!
I like INSIDE OUT and the honorable mention of FINDING NEMO. I also love ENCANTO, RATATOUILLE, and the TOY STORY franchise.
Cinderella is so beautiful, so comforting! It will always be my favorite! 💖

I remember watching A Goofy Movie. That was one of my favorite movies growing up, along with Lilo & Stitch.
Honestly Toy Story just has the heart felt meaning to it
Most Comforting Disney Movies
These Disney movies are my comforting Disney movies that puts me in a better place especially when I am grieving from such a heavy loss.
Cool Runnings (with the sarcasm and humor from the characters a classic comforting movie)
Moana ( the ocean always comforts me just like it did for Moana the sound of crashing waves. Having a grandmother help you a long the way. Aww makes me feel so much better.

Tarzan ( just listening to Phil Collins music just puts you in a comforting sense that makes everything feel so much better for yourself)
Alice in Wonderland (1951) is also a nice relaxing movie with a theme of escapism.
And one of their funniest movies
@@manuelorozco7760 I agree. I think that Emperor’s New Groove is funnier.
@@xnavarro127isback4 They are both good overall
I'm happy beauty and the beast, Cinderella and little mermaid but I would have like to have Aladdin as number one because genie playing all those characters in one movie is the best part and nothing is better to enjoy the song a whole new world.
The new elemental made me feel cozy inside
Encanto is the best ❤❤
I feel very much at comfort watching Snow White.
I love Cinderella, Inside Out, Encanto and Toy Story the most.
I would definitely watch all of these movies when I need a good pick me up 👍
Cinderella is my absolute first choice when I need comfort
Love You Story, but Encanto and Frozen really need to be higher up!
Aw, I'm a little sad Luca didn't make the list, but I don't disagree with these options either!
Top of my head
Enchanted
Tangled
The Little Mermaid(1989,2023)
Aladdin(2019,1992)
Beauty and the Beast
Tarzan
High School Musical 3
Rarely the one that leave me with no worries is "The emperor's new groove" or "Ratatouine"
My Mum's number one pick would be Sleeping Beauty
I love the live action Beauty and the Beast. It's perfect for any mood and my upcoming paper about leadership.
Oh oh... The Emperor's New Groove is definitely my number 1... not a single sad moment...
Cinderella was My Mother's Favorite Disney Film
Aristocats has been my favorite since I was five.
Love all these comforting Disney movies ❤
All of these are great! (Except Toy Story 4) Emperor’s New Groove, Ratatouille and Mary Poppins work for me. 😊
frozen encanto tangled and beauty and the beast cheer me up when i'm unhappy
I love Lilo and stitch so much. it's was my favorite movie as a kid. the soundtrack makes me cry to this day. on a close second was tarzan
I love Beauty and the Beast and I relate to Belle a little bit
I struggle with depression and I don’t always get support from those around me. Inside Out hit like a punch to the gut when I realized it was addressing depression and it’s become my go to movie whenever I’m down that helps me accept validation of my feelings while reminding me to pick myself up and try again ❤

My favorite comfort Disney movie has to be The Jungle Book 2. Mowgli struggles to find out where he wants to belong. The Human Village or the actual Jungle. I can relate to him in that way. Where should I be? Eventually, we both, figure it out😁
I just watched Moana and absolutely loved it. It should have made the list.
Love this list! ...tho I'd switch out the Toy Story franchise with Lady and the Tramp ;)
I did watched ‘Inside Out’ several years ago, it was very good.
Joy, sad, anger, fear and disgust.
LOL
Luca should be on the list
Really, no Hercules?
Having seen Tangled on this list, I'm now wondering if it was the last DISNEY animated movie to have a traditional romance theme.
Elemental: *ahem* Allow me to introduce myself...
I wish we had another male protagonist movie like Aladdin with a female love interest.
@@SomePkmnlovingdude That's a Pixar movie.
@@meganthompson6676 It's co-owned by Disney so it counts.

princess diaries and parent trap

Wall-E.

What about Hercules
THE ANGER OF LEWIS BLACK!!! 😡😡😡 Gets me every time!!! 😁😁😁
I love Elemental
I guess I’m the odd one who finds comfort in Hunchback of Notre Dame and Oliver & Company
Aristacats is awesome 😃😻
Big Hero 6?
My Brothers number one pick would be Aladdin
Coco helps me remember that even though people have died, they live on in my heart
I have to include "coco" in the honorable mentions. I cried so much at the end it made me remember my grandmother's who are not alive anymore
Some of my comfort movies are "Big Hero 6", "Coco", "Treasure Planet" and more.

And Little Mermaid is just WRONG: She gives up an important part of herself for a guy she just met. There's nothing comforting about that. Yet Aladdin doesn't even get an honorable mention . . .
🏦 "Saving Mr. Banks" (2013)
emperors new groove beauty and the beast lion king but no aladdin
Mine has to be Hercules. Hades and Meg's sense of humor is just the best

Beauty and the Beast
Ratatouille
Toy Story
Toy Story 2

Maybe I could picked Aristocats even know one of the cats is races
to me all of Disney movies are all really comforting even all of Pixar movies are all really comforting they are all comforting that I can’t think which ones would be on a top 10 comforting movies list
Amanda Bynes would've been such a good Rapunzel in another life.

Pinocchio (Its fairytale simplicity puts you in a good mood, you feel for its lovable cast of characters, and Pinochio himself is relatable and genuine while still a flawed individual).
