Cry my beloved Zimbabwe, It's true what Biti says, in terms of the way forward on Zim, the issue is not much about MDC's future, but the people of Zimbabwe having to endure another season of Zanu' s heartlessness, having been relieved during the GNU era after 3 solid decades of non progress, corruption, deceit, confusion, among any other things any heartless government would do on its people. Our only hope lies in God alone...I tell you people are literally crying and distraught as l speak...
The MDC should quit thinking that they are the only party that can fix Zimbabwe's problems..
I have 20 years of administering and training election personnel in both the US and Africa. I would like to point out a vital flaw in the ZESN methodology for determining "under registration" and thus the publicly stated "750,000 urban voters were missing on the voters’ roll ".
Many of those included in that census have indeed moved out of the Urban areas to SA, UK and other points still within Africa. Given the lack of facilities to allow vote by mail those who have moved out of the Zimbabwean urban areas these voters are lost to the system as agreed in the New constitution and by the Constitutional Court rulings.

They should call on other countries to monitor this elections
These guys must go for either Police or Army training for them to qualify as president ,because you can not be the CHIEF COMMANDER without knowing duties and responsibilities of the army or even for a soldier, just because you went to the university

Those "dead" residents were carefully excised from the voter role just as the EU and US critics demanded. MDC-T had both the opportunity and responsibility to make sure that this was done in a careful and proper manner.
First issue to note is the two documents to be compared. The 2012 Census Estimate has been widely attacked by the MDC-T and principals of ZESN as a document that may have included as many as 1,000,000 dead or non-resident persons.

The electronic Voters Roll software is "Read / Search Only", as I have witnessed an obsolete (2009) copy of the same.
Therefore there is no way to alter, abuse or cause mischief to it!
This is an extraordinary circumstance as the new constitution required a particular timetable for the vote to be held and another timetable for voter registration. This created conflicts that the constitutionally created "Con Court" resolved. These timetables were not of ZANU-PF or MDC-T manufacture.
Which brings us to the second point. The MDC-T and all parties were availed with an electronic copy of the Voters roll (inside the ZEC offices only) from July 10th onward. Their complaints to the contrary are both misrepresentations and dangerous.
When Minister Biti said there will NEVER be free elections in Zimbabwe, did you not hear the previous sentence - "While ZANU-PF, under Mugabe, is in power" - how convenient for you to leave THAT part out!

Tendai Biti on why they took part in the elections.... ' We took part to show that they will NEVER BE free and fair credible election in Zimbabwe....' so this is who you want to govern the country. Its shameful!
I live in America, and quite honestly, most Afro-Americans don't even know where Zimbabwe is, what Mugabe doess - or care!
The Electronic Voters Roll was not distributed to political parties for use outside of the ZEC offices to stop any further distribution of it to foreign or media bodies where uncontrolled versions might be altered, abused or otherwise open to mischief.
What if they win? They will still not accept victory? ?! I wonder.

Perhaps Ray you should come to Zim and talk to people here in the areas you describe as being affected by the Gukurahundi. Unlike you I speak as both a trained election expert and as one who did not stay in the US to make my decisions on this vote. I suggest a real trip for you to Zim where you might talk with the free people there, out in the rural areas, and in the cities.
Do Zimbabweans only have Mugabe and Tswangarai...whatever his name is?

honestly you are being racist. Mugabe is 6 years younger then Mandela, and as you can see things are not looking to bright for him. Mugabe's time is up he should step down. but bringing race into politics is wrong. we are all equal, were all humans. Poor leadership and corruption is the reason why Africa is not moving to freedom.
