35:06 this part still sends nostalgia shivers down my spine, as a kid Monkey Island 2 on IBM Floppy pretty much the first game I ever played.... and I guess is what helped me get into computers :)
Capt. Kate's Boat has been my mobile ringtone for 20 years. Actually ever since I had the first phone that was able to use MIDI ringtones, way before smartphones. I like this version. I think I'm using the one from the SE atm. Probably the single (second) best piece of music. I'm missing LeChuck's theme here, though!!!
I'm listening to capt. Kate's boat for the first time as I'm typing this. I came to the comment section just looking for the first person praising this song in particular and you are it. keep spreading the word of this amazing song :)
I love that all the music from early 90s adventure games sounded like they were made on an old 80's Casio keyboard, even including the sound effects. The lush music in the remastered versions of these games just don't have the same charm of the original sound to me.
I think this is referring to Roland sound card. You could only get this sound quality if money wasn't the issue. Proletariat had Sound blaster 16 and frankly it was good enough.
Good selection! I'm obsessing over this music still, some 25 years later.
can't not obsess over it mate! the best - it's very emotional for me! I just love it!
i Wish They never find a cure
Same.

Yep. But you can alway be immature forever :p (But dang if it isn't nostalgia inducing)
I was a kid playing this, and this was my VERY first video game on a PC I ever played, then Diablo 1.
Oh my god. The nostalgia...
Love these games! Both soundtracks are my favorite for sure! Always brings back memories from playing it for the first time! 🤘🤘🤘

Music that reminds me of my old memories.

I am addicted to this melody
I love these musics.
This game is so good, so cool, so funny.
Geoff Crammond Grand Prix sounds epic! Even tho it's only on the intro and credits that the MT-32 comes into play... it sounds epic!
Just lovely.
Beautiful, ty very much for sharing, bless from Mvd UY 🙌
El gran juego ❤❤

It kinda was. The Roland MT-32 was a top notch synth at the time, designed to be used by musicians.

I was annoyed at first because it didn't sound like a real MT-32, but then saw you mentioned Munt in the description.
Barely anyone got to hear that since Roland cards were horrendously expensive. The first time i played Monkey Island 2 it was with Adlib audio.....
fukin masterpiece
4:10 Woodtock?
Fixed.. thanks :)
Would a woodchuck chuck a wood...
By best of are you suggesting there isn’t a track that is the best?

Yeah .. the whole soundtrack is like 5 hours long.. So obviously not all of those are made equal :)
@@bestretrogamessoundtracks6685 It is an entire piece, like classical music.
