I think I have a very good video idea for you guys. You should do a reverse triathlon challenge. Beginning with run and son on… could be Olympic or fast triathlon for the distances. Ready?
Big fan of the mountain/ fell running stuff. Be good to see you have another go at the Paddy Buckley or the Bob Graham. Or their swimrun equivalents Puddle Buckley and Frog Graham
Just a brilliant video. More like this! Come to Scotland! So nice to be reminded that triathlon isn’t just about racing or perfecting this or that/high elbow/shaving two seconds off transition etc but that it trains you to be able to do epic adventures like this. (Who needs swimming anyway) Gorgeous photography. Well done all round. :))
Its great to see how 2 ex pros can do something that makes them just as tired as a good long (much more modest) race or session can make us age groupers feel. Well done guys. Great video.
Probably one of the best GTN vids! Thanks for taking us on this epic journey 💪🏽😎. Some amazing views and the filming on point as usual. How many pop-tarts did Mark end up eating? 🤣
I absolutely love these videos so much. Amazing efforts lads, inspirational. Not sure I'm going to be attempting that any time soon, but I do like the prospect of it at some point haha.
Check out the Dragon Duathlon. Similar kind of thing with the 3 peaks but slightly different route. It's s coast to coast as well so has another bike either end at the start and finish. Easily the best event I've done.
Hi, You know Heather, she done the Swimrun Från Ö till Ö in Sweden 🇸🇪. I think Mark and James could choose between.. 1) Laponia triathlon , one Ironman distance up in Gällivare , the most northern triathlon. You actually got a good chance to win the race. It start at midnight. Magical :) Cold yes, elevation yes. Not as tough as Norseman but tough. 2) Höga Kusten Winter trail . Running in the snow. A lot of elevation. It would be nice to see you here… // Marie-Louise
Great video guys, well done. On the longest day in 1991 we did the National three peaks in the same way. Starting in Sheffield, cycled to Snowdon, ran up and down it. Then Cycled to Scafell pike, ran up and down that. The last stage was cycle to Ben Nevis and finishing at the top of Ben Nevis. A team of 10 completed this in a relay to raise funds for Killingbeck Hospital. Started on morning of 21st June around 560 miles in total. Cycling was with two on the road at any one time and then two running up and down Snowdon and all of doing Ben Nevis. #challengeGTN I’ve got photos if you want 🚴🏽♂️🏃😎
Adventure training helps take the monotony out of training and as part of a team activity is brilliant. A bunch of us from our team went gravel biking in the mountains a couple of months ago and thoroughly enjoyed it - legs absolutely destroyed and was actually good training!
Huge salute and thumbs up to these guys giving us such awesome and lovely contents, kudo to the GTN crews as well definitely. Nearly 16 hours of journey summarized into less than half an hour essential moments! As for recommendation to normal folks I guessed just one mountain at a time in a day is more than good enough while chilling with your friends unless you happened to have a bunch of ultra athletics friends 😅
the views are stunning! The view of Snowdon and the little lakes below gave me the gossebumps. You only missed a swim on those lakes, but tbh better not. I am not british, but the UK has some really beautiful places. What about a trip to some of the highest peaks of the Scottish Highlands?
Next challenge - be the first to complete a succession of Iron Man distance bike/runs covering the route between Lands End and John O’Groats. Or, as an extension of the Wales 3 Peaks, do the England-Scotland-Wales 3 Peaks trail running and biking
Never heard of the dragon duathlon? You’ve missed out the ride from Anglesey to llanberis, and pen y fan to Swansea. Come on guys, go back and finish the job!
If you are confident in your mountain climbing skills, might I recommend the Longs peak Triathlon in Boulder. 38 mile ride uphill, 7 mile run up a 14,000' mountain, a rope climb up the face of the mountain and then a run and ride back down. It sounds easy compared to this, but the air is thinner and you would have to learn rock climbing.
I'm curious what the calorie estimate from your watches was for each section and the total. You could also do a split of the mountain ranges in Scotland. Maybe highest North of the Great Glen (Carn Eige), Highest South of the Great Glen (Ben Nevis) and the highest not in the highlands (Merrick). Swim and bike opportunities that way.
Heather was resting up after her all out effort at Man vs Horse while we were filming this, we'd definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already ruclips.net/video/MQ8WyFVW6os/видео.html

The GODZone adventure race in NZ (or one similar)! Team GTN would kill it
Spartan race or a multi water sport triathlon down in Portsmouth or something, you paddle board and kayak with running and cycling
Epic. Great video guys!

I am enjoying the chemistry between James and mark. Great video and great challenge!

You guys are amazing, endurance in every fiber of your bodies!
Wow. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!
This looks brutal.. I wanna try it!!!
Well done lads! Smashed it
What incredible views! Thanks for sharing this great challenge.
Next challenge - swim to Isle of Wight 3 miles, cycle circumference on the island route (65 miles) and run across it 13.5 miles ?
That's just a weird, top heavy ironman though 😅
Sounds fun
@@BjerkeRobin This sounds fantastic!

Brilliant Video! What a challenge! Feeling inspired! Well done! 👏 👌
You guys are bloomin epic. What an inspiration.
Thanks GTN
Congrats guys that was awesome, I used to holiday with my dad in the region and loved seeing the routes.
Massively impressive feat, awesome work, folks
Next one, longest night, all with lights on
Sooo epic. New to watch endurance stuff. This is amazing

Da iawn (well done in Welsh!), very impressive! Picked a great weather day!
How were our pronunciations though? 😂

Gobsmacked you had Snowdon summit to yourself!! Cracking day out 😊.
Lucky right 🙌
Truly an endurance spirit! That was some effort and great will power! Keep up the good work.
Awesome. More. Please!
Speechless.
Great video! Fantastic job getting that task done.

My favourite GTN video to date, you’ve just given me an idea for next summer (not all 3 though 😂).
Great video and beautiful views!
Epic journey! Awesome video!
Brilliant, well done guys.
Thank you!
I just 🥰 loved this video. So beautiful, so tough ,so nice. It tickling me to do it. Who knows, this year my goal is Kona, but maybe in the future.
Amazing and nice weather for a change
Really awesome video. More like this👍. So inspiriring
Thanks so much - you can check out another of our epic challenges here 👉 gtn.io/NorsemanGTN
What a great challenge - very entertaining!
Great video! I wish I had saved it for when I'm on the trainer 😁
Glad you enjoyed our beautiful mountains and country ⛰️⛰️⛰️🌄🚲🏃♂️
Thanks for having us!
I love these types of videos
Awesome video really enjoyed it.
That was awesome. Nice work on such a amazing challenge!
Thanks for watching - what should we do next? 🤔
Well done guys, amazing effort.
‘Epic’ is a word that often gets used inappropriately. Not for this. What an absolute epic day out!
Huge salute and thumbs up to these guys giving us such awesome and lovely contents, kudo to the GTN crews as well definitely. Nearly 16 hours of journey summarized into less than half an hour essential moments!

Up in Snowdon in clear day 🤩 WOW
Couple of beauties!
Three of my favourite peaks
So inspired I ordered a GCN cap
Awesome. Hopefully it was a GTN cap? 😉
Awesome views and indeed an epic day!
Unreal effort this boys. You may just have inspired me to give this a go next summer…
wow this was great!
Great challenge: well done guys
Nice work you two, that looked a tough one!
Thanks - it was a big day but we really enjoyed it! 🙌
Nice work, gents. Going downhill on the 100 mile bike section wouldn't have been a bad thing, TBH.
You guys are awesome 😂
Top effort..
Well done lads
An epic day out! I hope you have a long edit of this planned for GCN+ 😊❤️
Hey, glad you think so! Unfortunately this is not a feature vid for GCN+, but maybe one day! 🙂
Next challenge - be the first to complete a succession of Iron Man distance bike/runs covering the route between Lands End and John O’Groats. Or, as an extension of the Wales 3 Peaks, do the England-Scotland-Wales 3 Peaks trail running and biking
You crazy cats. Congrats
That blue vest is identical to the Walmart employee vest. Dead ringer.
Learned something from this
Great photography guys, must be getting some training in cinematography, Mark. Impressive scenery!

That really really surprised me that when James and Mark stopped for food at the bottom of Cadir Idris they ate crisps and pork pies... 😂
I'm curious what the calorie estimate from your watches was for each section and the total.

you guys must have hit the summit of snowdon really early if there was no tourist queue at the top
Congrats! Guys one, Heather 15!
Haha we’ll get there one day
This is just so awesome! Great job guys! Just one question: where is Heather?!
Heather was resting up after her all out effort at Man vs Horse while we were filming this, we'd definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't already

Really enjoyed this video - well done and more of the same please!
Thanks, will do!
What watches are the guys wearing? Love the white bands
Wahoo ELEMNT Rival
I think I have a very good video idea for you guys. You should do a reverse triathlon challenge. Beginning with run and son on… could be Olympic or fast triathlon for the distances. Ready?
Thanks for the idea - we'll have a think 🤔
Well done! Was lake Bala a bit too cold then?
Haha it featured in initial ideas. Maybe one for another day 😂
Do you have a link to a Strava activity for this ?
Mine are all split into individual activities. Just hunt me down on Strava 😉
Check out Mark's profile here 👉 gtn.io/MarkStrava
Hey guys, that’s one extreme duathlon 🥵
Nah, they missed out the full dragon duathlon distance!
☀️
Excellent challenge, but unfortunately not the three highest Welsh mountains! Cader Idris is 893m, but Aran Fawddwy is 12m higher at 905m
You are correct. Hence the importance of my “highest and most iconic” line at the start 😉
Why did you use road bikes instead of your tri bikes?
Wow, this was brutal.
James did you sign up for that? Was this in your job description? 😂
And guys I enjoyed the video more than you did for sure 😊
Glad you enjoyed it
They're not the 3 highest in Wales
not gonna swim up any mountains? dissapointed
Sadly not, but it is Wales, so any other day and we may have had no choice but to swim
