    Why don't you guys try using a cable about a inch thick and loop it around that sand tower and use the cable to cut the sand tower down, pulling the cable back and forth would work much better than the method your using now

    So as the video ends they walk away & this 'job' is now 'completed' ?? Strange behavior - what exactly did they achieve ? the thing is still there, no safer than it was before & sooner or later the rest of it will fall down & there is a roadway alongside, so what is the plan now ? It's all so illogical !

    A GOOD WAY TO TAKE DOWN IF THE EQUIPMENT IS AVAILABLE,
    WOULD BE TO GET A LARGE PORTABLE WATER PUMP UNIT AND RUN A LARGE HOSE TO THE TOP AND WASH AWAY THE SAND, CAUSING ROCKS TO COLLAPSE!

      They didn't decide to knock it over for fun. As you can see in the image, the ground was slowly collapsing and there was a risk of that rock collapsing inadvertently which could be dangerous. So it was decided they would do it in a controlled fashion.
      The way they went about doing it with that LOONY man poking the bottom there I don't condone, but who am I to question the actions of a crazy man.

    Boleh guna kuasa letupan untuk pecahkan tebing. Atas tebing korek lubang luas 1/2 kaki kedalaman 4 kaki. Masuk kan sumbu dari kain atau serat yang serap minyak hingga ke dasar lubang. Masuk kan baja urea hingga penuh lubang. Masuk kan minyak diesel. Cucuh atau nyalakan sumbu dari jarak jauh. Satu letupan yang kuat terjadi menyebabkan tebing runtuh pecah dalam sekala besar.

    I had a cliff climb yesterday this high on sun baked rocky soil surfaces.
    Did not fall but decided to climb down once half-way up. No firm grips.

      What we learned is to use machines instead because techniques like this are both slow and extraordinarily dangerous. Human safety is important. They do it this way because they're too poor as a society to do it any other way. This is one of the benefits of a prosperous society like the United States -- we have the money to make life safer and easier for humans.

      First off, 27* years is an incredibly long time. Second, you think advanced technology would be required to stack rocks on top of each other?       Of course it's dangerous. They do it this way because they have no other choice. Machines would be safer for some applications. But I suspect that the terrain is too unstable for heavy equipment like diggers.
