I bought a used 680 about five years ago. I have never once vacuumed out my hopper. I do the basic maintenance that you know like vacuuming out the fire pot and keeping the rest of the grill cleaned. Still runs great.

I had an egg, offset, gas and Weber charcoal grill. I traded all of them for a Backyard Beast about a month ago and I love it. I got rid of all of my other grill/smokers. Who needs anything but a great pellet grill? Thanks from Warner Vegas!

Ok, I've been a bad girl, and let my Recteq sit unused for a couple of years. When i did open it, i realized i had not cleaned it after the last use, so now it has mold inside. What do i do now to clean it?

I would turn it on to 500 and allow everything to cook off, then give the grates a good scrubbing and clean the drip pan.
