Their expressions when Dan exploded were great! Even though it's played for laughs and they immediately undo it, it's definitely one of the most shocking and gory moments of the show. XD
yes!
and I've seen so many reactors skip that bit
@@peachesplums That's a shame!
Lucifer rolling up his eyes and losing his patience at his Dad during the sting is actually payback cause now he knows exactly what Chloe has been putting up with these last 4 years...
Hahahah 😁
This episode with God was so much fun!
You guys missed the detail of the little importance that God gave to Lucifer's rebellion (when he was talking to the drug dealers), it seems that God took this rebellion as a childish prank, and sent him punished to hell. It parallels the punishment Lucifer meted out to Trixie, banishing her from the penthouse for a month. It is interesting that Lucifer reacts with the same punishment methodology as his father.
Sons often follow the same patterns as their fathers, as much as they say they try not to
@@m.matt501st Bruh! I sure hope I don't. I'm actively working on not to.
Plus, both of them don't realize the issue with their punishment-- for them, the amount of time is trivial, same as the magnitude of the rebellion, except to both of the receiving parties, the amount of time seems vastly out of proportion due to the fact that their time dilation is different (for trixie, one month feels like a long time! And for Lucifer, we know that Hell has an insane rate of time dilation, to the point where 6 months turned to about 3000 years (Michael says thousands and lucifer repeats that notion), and we know that Heaven is very time dilated from earth, so a day in heaven is a year-ish on earth. Say a year on earth is 6000 years in hell-- that means a day in heaven is 6000 years in hell. To lucifer it was an eternity, while to God it was probably something akin to a hundred years, which is still a drop in the hat to an immortal, especially one who is already a billion years old.
@@m.matt501stNot all the time but I get what you mean
"I prevented gi Jane here from pulling a niezsche." Is such a great line
I'm just gonna say it: I absolutely loved Dennis Hayberts performance as God in this series. Right up there with Morgan Freeman in Bruce Almighty.
Cant forget Rob Benedict from Supernatural lmaooo
Same
When Maze says 'a demon can't grow a soul' and God answers 'can't she?', it's one of the more touching moments of the entire series. sniff
God being the plumber in the beginning of this episode is a reference back to when Chloe was going to test Lucifers blood and said to him that she would probably find out that he was the son of a plumber from (can't remember where!)
Oh, I didn't put that together. Thanks for pointing that out!
episode 201 - Larry Morningstar the son of a plumber in Connecticut :)
I loved when Lucifer said “no one lays hands on my father.” It was so menacing but showed how he does still care for his father.
I love Dan but watching his reaction at God blowing him up and then immediately putting him back together is one of the funniest moments in this entire show’s history.🤣🤣🤣
One of my favourite episodes. It is always great to see Trixie. They really did good with casting God. He has chemistry with everyone.
Yes it's always fun to watch Trixie but in one episode this season I cried so much when she appeared
From this episode to the end of the season their reactions are going to be bananas
Shame the finals a let down
what?? The finale of season 5 was amazing!
@@user-oc7dl9or8f I think he means Season 6 Finale
@@calebjones960 in your opinion, many disagree
6 wasn't the best either but season 5 finale is bad, it looks bad and rushed fight scenes and it goes all over the place.
The Dan rollercoaster just keeps going. Next episode is go time.
When is the prank epsiode
@@batmanvideogames Episode 12: Daniel Espinoza, Naked & Afraid.
@@Repugnantone it's actually episode 12, next episode :D
I'm so excited for it
@@mfbond13 You're right. I edited my comment.
I cant wait for next episode they're gonna love and hate it haha
I'm curious to see at which point they figure it out
You guys aren't ready for the remainder of the episodes. Now I'm really looking forward to seeing your reactions to them.
How am I just realizing that Dennis Hayberts who plays God here, is Bob Andersonn in Brooklyn-Nine-Nine ? Like Captain Holt would say "I've never been more shocked" 😂
Lucifer getting mad about his dad gave me chills and I loved it my first time seeing it I was like ohhhhhh and I was shocked too when he blew up dam 😭😭
It wasn't just the Lieutenant Diablo poster. The other signs around the door at the gym were references to past episodes.
Dan went through a whole existential crisis
I can't wait to see 5x14 - 5x16
Love god in this show. It's strange that for a being so much mentioned, talked about, written about etc we almost never see any physical representation of him. Besides Lucifer, Bruce almighty and another one, he is the most low key character ever
When Dan just said screw it and told God to punish him and get it over with, I couldn't have been the only one who thought:
"Smite Me, Almighty Smiter!!!"
Nope. You are not.
12:17 Yes, Eric! I also like using eleventy-one whenever I can.
Chloe comes in "you two okay?"
Then, knowing who and what they are, asking if the bad guys are okay....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'M SO EXCITED for next week's recap!!!!! 💜💙🖤
I liked how blind wave brought up all these questions on Gods power at the start of their review it’s weird that they didn’t share this same attitude for the acolyte show
Same reaction when Dan got blowed up 💀
can't wait for the next episode! "because you fucking sh--" lmao
One of you said it's his favorite season and mine too and wait for the episodes to just get better
If they dubbed God’s “pip pip cheerio” accent, perhaps Neil Gaiman should have been the voice they used. Too meta?
The best moment in the entire show...
I can't wait to see them react to the next episode
They are gonna love the next episode 😂
"eleventy one" Lord of The Rings reference! I caught that!
The God episodes are some of my absolute favourites in the show.
Yes they are hilarious
4:21 just wait till next episode dan really had a Bad time in episode 12😭
I really do enjoy all the angels, god, mom, eve, cain, some of the villains.
"there is no Goddess of Creation"
her name is Asherah :)
and good ol Yahweh has had a few names as well over the eons
Brace yourselves for episode 12...the best one ever!
a different kind of "your dad embarrassing you in front of others" moment
Man dan and his onepiece
Next episode is my favorite I think
I love how they totally missed Eric's Grinch reference 😆
Next episode is gonna be so good 😍😍
I agree with them that Season 5 is the best season. Lucifer is an odd show in that every season was better than the last, with a dip in Season 3 and Season 6 being not quite as good as Season 5.
season 6 was nothing but garbage unfortunately
@@Tiraliass in your opinion. Nothing wrong with that. Its subjective. But for me season 6 was so good
@@Tiraliass I don't think it was awful, but yeah, it was not as good as Season 5 and slightly below Season 4. I pin it on Netflix ordering a new season and the writers not being sure how to pad the storyline out enough to fill ten episodes.
@@DrakeyC they lost me at "wokeness is hard". That's when i realized they had no idea about what to do anymore
@@Tiraliass I think season 6 was for the really tight fans (like me) and it was a farewell season and also a spoiler we got Lucifer as a dad and Rory is a really good character
"Pulling a Nietzsche"
I think, God being prescient means that he knew the rattle would be completely safe during the time he was without his powers. Nobody would steal the rattle and Charlie wasn’t going to drop it in dog poop prompting Linda to discard it in the nearest outdoor trash bin.
Part of me thinks that even losing his powers is under his control and probably completely intentional. It’s his plan for the way this season and the next to happen the way he wants it to.
Spoiler:
I imagine that even for a being with infinite power and knowledge that setting up a causal time loop to occur in absentia is a delicate operation in a universe with free will. Assuming those things aren’t completely incompatible.
It’s like when the Oracle told Neo not to worry about the vase. He only knocked it over because she said that. But that set him on a path towards becoming “The One” after his death and resurrection. In his “next life” just as she told him.
God’s doing the same sort of manipulation. God knows Michael’s plan. So instead of derailing it, he’s using it as an excuse to retire, elevating Lucifer and Amenadiel to their eventual roles.
And when I say “in absentia,” consider that when it appears that God no longer has an influence in events, Chloe, probably, isn’t even pregnant!
They are almost at the end of the season with the shocking death of a popular character
Who would have thought that God is a prankster....🤣🤣
Nobody:
Eric: Eleventi-one
Vers disappointed that nobody said Hail Hydra when they saw who played the doctor.
and his shirt did look like a hamburger
I totally love the series but this season is the best by far after season 1 also on this episode I love the line about that is what you said about the dinosaurs loved its double meaning as there are Christian that believe the Dinosaurs did not exist as Earth started at a later date
how do we know there isnt a goddess of creation 🤔🤔🤔
there is. we met her. Dan slept with her
I can't wait for you guys to finish the show and I don't want you to finish the show at the same time... its avatar all over again :(
Ayyy
IMHO, the misplaced powers of God could be a very serious thing if someone were to get their hands on them. Lucifer seemed very concerned about the power to create and destroy the universe being misplaced. No need for such dreadful concern if only God could reclaim them. No spoiler responses, please.
Its put no other god before I implying other gods exist its like big G. Little g God vs god
What if God was one of us.
3:28 as a former christian
Jesus (peace be upon him) was not god and man at the same time
In all versions of the bible Jesus himself never claimed divinity.
Acts: ye men of israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, A man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, wich God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know.
Luke 18:18 a ruler approaches Jesus and asks: Good teacher, what must I do to inherent eternal life?
Jesus replies; luke 18:19
Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.
No trinity, no god in the flesh because he never claimed he was.
This is a dangerous game played by christianity not relying on your own scriptures for guidance by ignoring what Jesus said but modern day christians are following saint Paul, known as Saul.
2nd most important figure in christianity also known in that time for killing true followers Jesus (pbuh)
After his dream were he saw Jesus (pbuh) he converted to christianity and made a lot of changes to that religion.
Colossians 2:9?
@@matthiasnm4279 Colossians was written by Paul, further emphasizing the OP's point. They we're speaking specifically of the instances where Jesus himself was being quoted, not talked about by others. It's easy to forget that the Bible was a compilation of texts gathered together only long after his death, with a great deal left on the cutting room floor and all of it being decided on by mortal men with mortal inclinations, trying to maintain control of a large group of followers. It wasn't even until the 4th century at successive councils that they decided on the divinity of Jesus. Like with every religion, belief and teachings change to match the times.
@@wardenm exactly, and i was raised christian but became atheist because all the errors and contradictions in the bible.
I have read the quran. Hoping to find contradictions and errors myself. But i did not and i never will.
It also shook me that the quran is compatible with modern day science while the bible is not.
If you apply the same rules and standard on both books only one will come out as truth, the quran.
And now i have accepted islam im trying to learn everyday for wich that helps me with my behaviour and the people around me.
@@wardenm the earliest near complete manuscripts (94%) of the new testament is written en compiled 900+ years AD.
They found some older scripts then that, but it is same size of a creditcard and only 1 page.
@@wardenm I mean if you deny the accuracy of the work of the apostles where is the confirmation Jesus said any of the things he is attributed to saying other than things that were widely corroborated at the time
I think this season wraps up the show better than the last season. I'd recommend not watching season 6.
Spoiler:
If they had just made amenadeal God when the offer it to him right away, because he does anyway, there would be so many lives saved. Stupid as f#*k. So is the sudden intro of a time traveling daughter for no reason at all. Lucifer suffering an eternity (for him) being a therapist to bad-atrocious people before reconnecting with Chloe and then continue until the end of time because the people will keep coming. Sorry for the rant I just hate bad endings.
Spoiler:
Just wanna say that it's ok if you didn't like the ending, but you're misinterpreting some things. Lucifer didn't suffer anything. He realized that helping the souls in hell find redemption was his calling, just as Amenadiel realized that being God was his. Part of the point of season six was their journey to those realizations. Rory being a thing was obviously a bit of fanservice for the Deckerstar folks, but her plotline is also a journey of realization. It just so happens they wrap it up in a stable time-loop.
@@Sueiza you're wasting your time , it's just his thing, he's been ranting about S6 for a while now. I'd recommend him not watching the reactions to season 6 , so simple! Many don't get it but season 6 is actually an epilogue of 516, it just happens to be longer, as there many things to tie and wrap up.
