When Lucifer died, he told God that he'd do whatever he wanted and go where he wanted, so when he died, God gave him a sign, which was Lucifers moms open door, that was God showing Lucifer what he wanted, because afterwards with his conversation with Amenadiel Lucfiers states "His message was clear" referring to the open door. God then swaps the coin out from Malcom at some point to bring Lucifer back, using the coin up, saving Lucifer. Hence why Lucifer states "I know a guy" when Malcom asks how he got it, God planted it in Lucifers pocket at some point.
@@rohangorajia2359 I've heard that theory but there's a few things that don't really make sense. Lucifer has never shown any ability like that, if someone breaks a deal at any other point in the show, he doesn't use some magical ability to get his end of the bargain back. It also wouldn't make sense for him to say "I know a guy" to Malcom and look into the sky when Malcom asks how Lucifer got the coin.
@@thedernboy i saw lot of comments that look like this but isn't it obvious they've watched it early on patreon. Actually I've also commented like this before lol
Yeah as I saw it, to bring Lucifer back God gave the coin which Malcom had on him to Lucifer. The thing is, it also therefore meant Lucifer was basically trapped on earth, then if he died again there’d be no way out as Lucifer had no coin, and no wings. Lucifer was brought back to Save Chloe and then return his mother to Hell, and likely himself in the process. If Lucifer completed the deal as God wanted “someone has escape hell and must be returned” God would have got Lucifer back in Hell and in an smart manipulative way. But instead he chose to find a loophole of, Mom needs to be punished, so I’ll punish her on Earth instead of Hell. So the deal is being taken back, if Lucifer hadn’t woken up, he wouldn’t have distracted Malcom so Chloe could shoot him. Chloe would have died if Lucifer stayed dead.
I've heard theories of how he might have stolen the coin or the coin, supernatural in nature, returned on its own after Malcolm broke the deal. It was "The coin for not shooting Lucifer" afterall.
@@Phireo while I love the broken deal side, Lucifer said he know someone in high places, likely referring to God. I feel like he would have just you broke our deal. Also to my memory, his deals have never had supernatural seals to them. Then again I can’t think off times people have broken then currently. I feel like the show might have but more moments like that in, people breaking deals and having things turn back on them, if it were the case.
Yeah, bottom line, the show wasn't exactly clear, but like VG & Dungeon, I think the "friends in high places" line is the best hint we got at the actual explanation.
@@Phireo That's a very interesting thought. Lucifer believed God gave him the coin (the friends in high places comment), but I really like the theory about the deal being broken and the coin going back to Lucifer. This is a better girls night then the one from Flash!!. I like the episode...the case was fine but as always , the cast & characters make the show. Polenta is a typical food in Italian cuisine, but already incorporated into the cuisine of several other countries, such as Argentina, Brazil, Romania and Uruguay. Its base is corn flour. It is a paste of cornmeal with water and salt, to which you can add butter or cheese.
"Polenta" (actually mămăligă) is a traditional Romanian 🇷🇴 dish, better known worldwide after its Italian name. God gave Lucifer the coin, that's why he says "I know a guy" and looks up when Malcom looks distraught at Lucifer having the coin again. In other words, God allowed Lucifer to get out of Hell once again by using that coin. Since Lucifer was shown the door of his mom's cell open, he takes from that that it's God's wish that his mother be returned to Hell in exchange for saving Chloe's life. Since Lucifer hasn't done that, instead he allowed his mother to stay on Earth as her "punishment", Chloe is now in danger. But... as you correctly stated, none of this was actually verbally said by God to Lucifer, so it's all just based on assumptions, which you may uncover more knowledge about in the future.
God never speaks to anyone, which on the face of it is suspicious as Hell. Everyone just imagines His taking offence. Never is it made clear God even has a hand in anything his kids do.
Aaron gave the coin way more significance than the show ever did. He died, went to Hell, was shown the open door of his mom's room, God brought him back, and then God switched the coin from Malcolm to Lucifer after he was back. The coin was never really that important to the story when it came down to it.
lucifers deal was if he doesn't shoot him then malcolm gets the coin so the second malcolm shot lucifer the deal was null and void lucifer himself just put wayyyy too much thought into it and wanted a reason to blame god lol
God gave Lucifer the coin back as he died, without it Lucifer wouldn't have been able to get out of Hell again. Last time he got out of Hell he cut off his wings, if you remember, which disallows him from traveling between Earth and Hell at will.
Polenta is a dish made from boiled cornmeal and not a fish. In the region of Italy my father was from it was usually grilled on a charcoal grill and used as a side dish to meat or fish instead of potatoes, bread or rice. It has a lot of similarities to grits.
I always figured the coin got back to Lucifer (by itself or by divine means) because Malcome broke their deal. The deal was, he got the the coin if he didn't shoot Lucifer... no time limit put on it. So once he shot Lucifer their deal was off and he no longer had true ownership of the coin. As for the living situation of the Detective, she said at one point that moving into her mothers place was always meant to be a temporary situation during her separation from Dan. Once the separation turned into a divorce rather than a reconciliation it was time to find a new permanent home for herself.
