I don’t remember who said it, but they said a great career is 3 stages. Be seen. Win. Leave a legacy. Definitely winning time.

I know it’s about the team but if you want to be a all time great when ur done with this game you gotta go for that finals mvp the reason why Kobe isn’t in a lot of goat discussions is because Shaq won those 3 finals mvps

Tatum just can't win at this point. He is sacrificing his own shine in service of his team winning and doing other things to be impactful, but the story is mainly about his bad shooting. Yes, that part of his game definitely NEEDS to get better, especially going into the next 2 games, but he knows that the Mavs are not gonna make it any easier on him in that regard. He is doing what many other stars wouldn't do, and de deserves his props for that.

Casuals don't realize he still had a good game overall. Yes, he's shooting like trash but he still made the right plays and played great defense. He was just ice cold from the field. It's still a B performance.

The competition hadn't caught up to MJ like modern basketball players have. So Jordan looked so well because his opponents were stagnant and people forget about his coach and Scotty Pippen. Jordan didn't win rings until the right pieces got put together.
