Yea too bad they can’t compute the LODs. Alas maybe too much to ask for..can’t think of another game that achieves it.

No it isn't, they abandoned console for several years, even sold off it's rights at one point. Now IF they attempt to update console everyone's gonna have to repurchase it. Scumbags.

They didn't know that tale tale games would go bankrupt and they're not the owner of the 7 days console ip they need to re buy the rights of it which takes them years for some legal shit done. You don't need to cry about it if you can only afford a console.
Fun fact if there's a bird's nest on top of one of those and you loot it completely and it disappears it will also destroy the whole tower. I learned this while trying a hardcore world with some friends. We all died.

My first demolish was a poi called Animal Hoarder. Had early game (before pickaxe) shoveled almost the entire ground under for sand and stone. Thought i would be funny to see what would happen if I removed it all. At first, nothing..... then I realized it was floating on the outside gas tank. Then something happened all right, and it was glorious.
@@Ozz248is this it that green house surrounded by landmines with 3-4 zombie dogs, a chicken, wolf, and a boar, if so yeah that POI has to crumble.
That's me and my wife's favorite poi, at least the tower that's by the farm. We often use it as the early game base. Starting out with a wall like that and a concrete building is so nice. Will usually dig a trench around it and put grates over the trench and shoot down. Has worked like a charm since legacy console.
You know red faction gorilla had amazing destruction the building would actually fall down and crumple under its own weight when you remove supports kinda wish more games did that
Thanks for sharing, Imagine hiding out up on the top and slowing watching the zombies destroy it on blood moon night, as your looking down contemplating wether you made the right choice of hiding at the top, then all of sudden you start hearing ping ping ping ping......seeing it collapsing right before your eyes 😂
The structural integrity of 7d2d makes tower falls like this both crazy, and sensible at the same time.

That's why the game gets so laggy at times. The entire engine calculates the support for every block and then if it decides a block doesn't have enough support has do decide where it drops. Of course there's no real physics, so things just fall pretty much straight down in a cascade fashion.
As broken as it is, it's still kinda fun to play.

I built a horde base around it and it works wonderfully. The tower is the fall back point and that structure has a ton of integrity building upwards.
I remember thinking I was smart with my friends hiding up in the underside of the roof from a blood moon horror of zombies……. Until the zombies took the building down and offed us all in the process of running for our lives
I love going to a house and lining the base with dynamite then watch as the game does it best not to crash from a hundred plus sticks going off at once. Always a blast!!!

When you really need metal pipe sound effects
7 days always had weird block physics. The reason it held up for so long is cause Metal has better horizontal support than other blocks like wood or brick. If it were made of wood, it would have fallen from one or two of the supports being destroyed.
If player made yes, but the POI have some other thing going on. Like a chair holding up an entire house. 😂
And suddenly, every zombie came from all edges of the map

I love doing this to the sky scraper's. Its even more satisfying esp when the physics breaks and some blocks are left floating
laying unlit dynamite around the base and detonating it all at once.
In 7 days, POIs have Dev Support and will not fall until the last block is broken.
7 days structure collapsing is based on horizontal distance from the support, so towers like that can be supported with just one beam
Can you still have floatable bases in alpha?

Majesty the radio tower was just now knocked by some armed hammer people breaking it doen
It's really cool when you start making shelter at lowered lvl of the ground where we have indestructible blocks. And when the size of shelter is so big that this made a folding all the blocks and after a 15-20 minutes we have a new gigantic trap for a monsters. They damaged legs and only green extra healthy can go, but need a few shoots in a leg and even thay start to lose legs
I love doing this right before starting a quest. Watch it fall, and reset so nobody ever knows what I'm willing to do for a bit of cheap iron.
So satisfying, I love when a base fails for example and just seeing the destruction

Those satellite dishes have a ton of resources if you dismantle them with a wrench.

i remember that some of the bridges would explode if you broke/walked on the wrong spot.
Structures uses supports like that so if you have a tower and zombies take them out it doesn't just destroy your whole structure.

I sometimes make a creative world and use that smg dev tool that breaks all blocks to just level huge buildings in the city. It's so satisfying would recommend
Yea I’ve tried this a bit. It seems to get a bit glitchy with the big buildings. This little tower worked nicely though:)
I personally just wish the calculations of what going to fall took place before any of them started moving so the whole structure could fall as one. If they did it right, it would actually take LESS calculations since they wouldn't be calculating 700+ individual pieces total fall, but one monolithic piece that would break as it hit the ground.
I remember doing this and it's the most satisfying thing ever I just love doing the stupid things in 7 Days to Die
In my playthrough, I did that to a silo near my farming area in Darkness Falls. So satisfying to watch. 😮

If you hit the ladder first, the top of the tower starts collapsing.
When it was still standing on it's last support, my only thought was "German engineering, not even gravity can hold up to refine steel."
And then Legos.
Even irl, those I-beams are meant to support a fucm ton of stuff. That's almost realistic (minus ofc, the fact that the tip of the tower stands 1,000 ft off ground)
I find that if you don’t watch it fall, you’ll end up with more recoverable materials.

I remember me and my mate played multiplayer and dug out that skyscraper from underneath completely demolished it crashed the server then ended up getting banned whilst stealing peoples helicopters and duping them 😝 😂 funny af

Me and my buddies tried doing this same thing on Dishong Towers by knocking out all the structural blocks on the first floor. Big mistake lol. It lagged the server so badly we had to fly out of the chunk so it'd stop loading. 3 days later, the tower was still falling.

I’m on day 60 in Radio Tower 1 😅. Have built a separate horde base for the last couple of blood moons mind 😊. Linked via a tunnel
And now imagine that someone use this tower as a defence for 7th day and it starts collapsing when he is on top of it

Try this with a slinky. It will do the exact same thing with the top remaining where it is with the bottom moving down.

I attempted to collapse the biggest building in grave town once. Never again. Took 20 minutes for the first 5 floors and spawned literally thousands of zombies. Lagged my game to hell

I did a day 28 horde at that poi and it held up great. Started in the building off to your right that has the lower level, used that as a pit to knock zombies into and make them climb back up, then when they broke the hatch i went onto the roof and jumped over to some bars on the tower and rained down my explosive arrows. Worked like a charm
i always like a zombie pit as part of a good defence.
Every block vertical to bedrock is perfectly stable, you just needed to break the four pillars take it down. The angled support beams didn't need to be broken.
I love the way stuff falls apart in this game glock 9 had a episode where the skyscraper was collapsing while he was running through looting it was cool af

My base literally spawns screamers when my 14 forges, 2 Chem bench, 4 workbench and 9 cement mixers are 24/7 function..... 😂😂😂😂😂
