- Hey guys! This is a complete RAM overclocking guide. I have shown a tutorial on how you can overclock your ddr4 ram. RAM overclocking is a simple process that you can do from your motherboard BIOS or you can say UEFI. The RAM by default doesn't run at its full potential it is set at default 2133MHz but we can easily boost up the frequency to the advertised frequency of what we have paid for and even we can go beyond that advertised clock, voltage, and timings. That is actually called RAM overclocking. If you just enable the XMP or DOCP from the BIOS it is not RAM overclocking. Enabling XMP you just got that RAM frequency of what you have paid for. This is the simple RAM overclocking guide that will definitely help you.

Firstly, 3600 is the data rate measured in MT/s not frequency in MHz. The latter is actually half of what the manufacturers want you to believe. And this is far from being anything close to a "safe" memory overclocking method since it misses out on two crucial aspects.
1. Manually tuning the memory controller voltage rails (VCCIO and VCCSA for Intel, VSOC for AMD) cause leaving them on "Auto" can be disastrous for long-term use.
2. Stability testing (with state-of-the-art tools)
Also, there is no mention of memory timings. Higher clock speed doesn't automatically mean more performance. Its a tradeoff between bandwidth and latency or sequential vs. random accesses. Leave all timings on "Auto" and the UEFI/BIOS will train memory with absolutely loose timings as you keep bumping frequency.

sir mera xmp profile work nhi kar raha hai. main 3200mh ka ram liya hai lekin xmp on karne ke baad bhi woh 2133mh par hi chal raha hai. fir motherboard ka pura dabba par tho bil main tho likha hai ki ram 3200mhg ka hi hai. lekin profile1 ya fir profile2 main bhi enable karne ke baad bhi xmp work nhi kar raha hai.kya problem hai?

Every processor has its maximum theoretical memory bandwidth. For example yours has 50 GBit/s. Then if you have dual channel memory, let's calculate. 50/8=6.25GBytes/s. 6.25/2=3.125=3125 Mbytes/s. If your processors bandwith is 50, you can use 3125 memory in dual channel mode. Or 2100 memory in tripple channle mode. Everything depends on your processor. Dont initiate XMP in BIOS before calculating what I wrote above. Your system will not be stable otherwise.
That makes absolutely no sense in terms of affecting stability. Its a demand vs. supply thing. If the supply is higher than the demand, then it doesn't really affect stability. In fact, for efficiency, demand also increases a bit as prefetching into caches can now be done more aggressively. There's a reason why people often bump up the ring ratio on Intel CPUs when overclocking memory to get a cascaded effect of higher bandwidth and lower latency.
Neither does this make sense w.r.t to physical signalling. There's usually a lot more headroom in there.

सर मैंने रेम कीट आडर किया था मगर भेजने वाले ने सिगल दो रेम भेज दी, अभी मैं xmp profile on करता हूँ तो पीसी बंद हो जाता है restart hota hai, problem karta hai. isliye sabhi logo se nivedan hain ki kabhi bhi RAM kit hi use kare, to koi problem nhi hoga. Jo ram kit hoga vo single box mein aayega. Kit nhi hoga to dono ram alag alag box mein hogi.

Or idhar z790-E mobo me i9 14900k 6000mhz tak support karte... Or mobo 8000 tak lete ko kya kare plz suggest.... Z690 me rtx 4060ti hai... Or z790 me rtx 4080 hai.... Plz plz suggest usse jada powerd ram lagunga to kya hoga?

I am having an unusual issue. i have R5 1600 processor , Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz (2*8GB) RAM kit and MSI 450M Pro VDH motherboard but my RAM sticks are running only on 2133MHz instead of 3000MHz. Turning on A-XMP or manual OC from bios is not helping me out and RAM sticks are working only on 2133Mhz which is stock. Updated the bios but same issue. Even i have changed my motherboard and bought Asrock B450M steel legend and used Crucial Ballistix sport 3200Mhz(8GB*2)kit but found same issue. Could you please help me out.

It can and you can avoid that through proper stability testing. Please don't consider this to be anything close to a proper memory overclocking guide.

@@varinder.s497 check your ram stick or box. There should be a recommended voltage for stock speed.
For ex:- If it's 1.20v at 3200mhz . Then that should be you specs.
