Since I moved last year from New England to the Bay area of California, the thing that tugs at my heart the most in this video is the beautiful atmosphere of a rainy day in the city.
Seriously getting addicted to your channel. Hard to find anyone else out there who doesn’t pander to the stereotypical tourist spots but showcases the greatest hits while somehow finding the hidden gems, where the true culture (and fun) is. Thanks again. You have no idea how many of your tips have helped us plan our upcoming trips.
Hey there! Any chance you’ll be doing a breakfast/coffee shop video any time soon? Would love your opinion on spots in the Times Square and surrounding areas! Great video as always! Can’t wait to try these spots!
Just now purchased the Cheap Eats guide through Thatch. I love how each restaurant selection includes an audio commentary by you. Great idea! I so look forward to using it.
Hey, man Congrats on the new addition to the family. I always enjoy your videos of NYC and the many things you display about the city. I would absolutely love to live there and experience what you get to experience. Thanks for all the great video I really appreciate them. Keep them coming bud.
Jon, nicely done as always. That paella burrito looked beyond delectable. The manager there definitely has his head on straight. He's a very good business man. Keep up the good work and send my warmest regards to Adriana. As my friends in little Odessa would say, Mazel Tov on your new bundle of joy. Your friend Mike.
I visited New York City for a week 2 weeks ago. Must have watched every one of your videos the past few months some multiple times. Thank you very much for your help. Earned a fan forsure. Keep it up.
Hello, I'm General James Charles McConville from Quincy, Massachusetts, I'm presently in Ukraine helping with Heavy war machines, weapons, Are you from the states 🇺🇸?
I am seeing this with perfect timing as I will be in Midtown tomorrow... was planning to lunch at the always good Hugh, but I love steak and Thai so change of plans! Looked delicious 😋 thanks!
Happy to report that I thoroughly enjoyed lunch today, so good! My only disappointment was they were out of the curry, but now I have another reason to go back haha. Definitely try if you can👍good rec, thanks!
Mr Barr, I have been looking at your videos for a few weeks. My spouse and I will be visiting your city soon. I’m impressed as to how you express yourself and how you allow people like us (normal means) to see that going to NYC is doable!! I’m still looking at your suggestions! The video of your baby boy is just warming and adorable to see. ❤❤❤
Found your channel quite by accident. Was pleasantly surprised at your presentation. Also, congrats on your new child. Being a parent is most rewarding and challenging. Walk in peace, Walk with God.
Going to New York in april with my husband. Our first time as adults on our own. We are staying in the margaritaville hotel in times square and your videos are like our bible right now on where to look for good spots to eat and visit. Thank you ❤
Hello, I'm General James Charles McConville from Quincy, Massachusetts, I'm presently in Ukraine helping with Heavy war machines, weapons, Are you from the states 🇺🇸?
As a New Yorker born and raised and still living in NYC, I had a lot of Halal in my day. My personal favorite stand is on Beaver Street between Broadway & New Street. (Continental Express Halal Food) The first time I ate there was when I was in the Yearup Program in 2019. I still go there whenever my work schedule allows. Monday thru Friday around lunch time 11am-2pm there’s always a line. Check it out and let me know what you think.
I still yet need to visit NYC and try all the food you show us! I'm from Chicago we have a variety of food culture here as well but definitely need to try east cost food. Keep doing these kind of videos!!! Also you should do another collab with @Norma Geli!!!
I'm no one of any significant importance I don't know if you remember this but about 2 months ago I challenged you to do a cheap eats that costs no more than $10 in Manhattan because i don't live far from that area & if it was possible this is why you're the man great video 💪
Love this video Jon! I'll be travelling to NYC from Sydney, Aus in December. Will you be able to recommend your top restaurants to visit/where to eat on Christmas Day?

Didn't know about EZ Paella next time I want not a big deal, whole commitment, entire evening, cheap Paella I know where to go now, my favorite Paella is at El Quijote, it closed I was so disappointed, excellent service, expensive, I Goggled it for the spelling for my comment I can't spell LOL, it has reopened YAY
Jon, I agree about all of the awesome spots in Hell's Kitchen. I went there on your recommendation of Empanada Mama, and walking that neighborhood turned out to be one of my favorite parts of my recent (and first) trip to NYC. Good call!
Paella in a wrap for me is Ok but think can get some upset who really treasure the dish :) As for midtown when I was working at the Rock lot of time I won’t even leave the buildings because there whole own food universe in it or under it :)
Videos like this are good. People that have never been to New York act like eating good food here isn't affordable. I'm a born and raised New Yorker, most of here are not rich, but we make it work, you just need to know where to go.
When did you become a father? 🎉❤👏🏻 My family lost our eldest son/brother late on during Valentines day this year. 💔❤️🩹❣️ Please let that gorgeous wife know how happy and tearful you both made me. Thank you 🥰🤗😘
