I dropped this pen 3 feet onto my desk and the nib snapped, meaning I couldn't grab it. Had to use a hot needle to get it out, then the pen was broken anyway when I inserted another nib. Yes, my mistake for dropping it, but I have a love HATE relationship, I'm still super angry that it hit at the worst angle possible 2 weeks after I bought the 24 plus. In the process of figuring out how to get a new one.
Hi Teoh, can you compare the initial activation force to a intuos pro? I have the huion inspiroy wh1409 v2 and because of the initial activation force and the fact that the tip woobles very much I just cant use it. Im thinking of buying the kamvas 22 plus because of your review saying that at least the wooble improved, but what about the activation force? Thanks doing this
The Wacom has lighter initial activation force, but the PenTech 3.0 has very little wobble and initial activation force is close to the Wacom. I can literally drag the pen down without pressure and there is a light line. Sometimes it skips a tiny little bit. I have pretty good pressure control and have no problems with initial activation force using my Kamvas 16 (2021). I always get the lines I want. So, is the Wacom better? Yes, a tiny bit better. However, with the new felt nibs, the Huion PenTech 3.0 (PW517) is amazing. I also have the Huion Q620m tablet with the older PW507 tech. It has more springiness and definitely not as good as the PenTech 3.0 for drawing or inking. However, for digital painting the initial activation isn't that big of a deal and I would say the experience is similar with the newer Huion PenTech 3.0.
its worse, the pw517 pen tip is very short and firm, but the initial activation force is weird, makes the lines cut off short and gives lots of gaps qhen drawing circles.
@@PedroRodrigues-fh1ku Owning both, it isn’t inconsistent. How do you get skips in drawing a circle? There’s something clearly wrong with your pen or pressure setting. I warm up with circles, ellipses and parallel hatching. I get the lines that I want (light to heavy) with the default pressure curve. If you bought it recently, return it. Dealing with Huion is a pain and could take weeks to resolve. Try the Wacom One. As someone who does both traditional and digital I can say nothing (Wacom included) has the sensitivity and feedback of a pencil on paper.

I’m just wondering if the button can be removed and cleaned (like on Wacom pens), as the dirt and dust will go inside of it anyway. The button won’t go easily and I’m afraid of breaking it by applying too much force.
Hi Teoh, i received my pw517 from Amazon. The two button move a little bit and produce sound of loose plastic when i shake the pen. If i hold the button while shaking the pen, there is no loose plastic sound. The pen and button works on the Kamvas 22 plus without any problem, just not sure if the loose button is normal. The pen button that come with the tablet does not move at all

Hello, I’m am wondering if this pen offers much more than the pw500. I am buying a new tablet but the pen is the main difference along with about €100…. Wondering if it’s worth the extra money?
That's a huge price difference if the main difference is just the pen. So I probably recommend getting the cheaper one because the drawing performance is still very good

in summary, the initial activation force without the spring system that comes with previous versions makes the lines inconsistent.

If it doesn't affect performance, don't worry about it. I've seen pens with looseR buttons so it's not uncommon.
