- Have a listen to the 2021 Heathers leading cast members in action singing "Dead Girl Walking"!
Directed by Andy Fickman and led by Christina Bennington and Jordan Luke Gage, the piece also stars Jodie Steele as Heather Chandler, alongside Bobbie Little as Heather Duke and Frances Mayli McCann as Heather McNamara. They will be joined by Lauren Ward (Fleming/Veronica's Mother), Madison Swan (Martha), Simon Bailey (Ram's Dad/Big Bud Dean/Coach), Joaquin Pedro Valdes (Ram Sweeney) and Steven Serlin (Kurt's Dad/Veronica's Dad/Principle Gowan).
Also in the show will be Ross Harmon as Kurt alongside Aimee Hodnett, Christopher Parkinson, Giles Surridge, Iván Fernández González, Rachel Rawlinson, Rumi Sutton and Teleri Hughes.
Laurence O'Keefe and Kevin Murphy's musical is based on the iconic film of the same name, following a school girl, Veronica, who tries to fit in with the elitist clique of "Heathers". It previously ran at The Other Palace and in the West End in 2018, going on to win the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical the subsequent year.
Choreography and associate direction is by Thriller Live's Gary Lloyd, design by David Shields, lighting by Ben Cracknell and sound by Dan Samson.
My aesthetic and forever mood is Christina absolutely giving 110% and performing like her life depends on it while Jordan just stands there like he's in the queue at McDonald's.
iconic
@@ciarahalpenny1778 he is proud of her and think she is really good u can see in his face and how he looks
Christina’s voice is *chef’s kiss* PERFECTION! Plus, she’s so expressive! The same thing can be said for Christian!
Precisely, you can easily feel all of her emotions, they're perfectly palpable!
@@trinaq yup
I love her voice so much and I really think she just overall an incredible performer ✨ I just wish she had more dynamics in her acting because some of the most tragic scenes feel almost "comedic" from the way she acts them out ( I am just a singer, not an actor so pls feel free to correct me). In this case, it doesn't show much, but on stage it does a lil'. Her chemistry with Jordan though is SO SO SO good.
@@valentineferrero7079 Yeah I liked her portrayal of the character and she made serious moments funny which I liked but at the same time didn't? I liked it coz it made me laugh but I felt that the moment should've been more serious. Overall I don't really mind because I still REALLY enjoyed her performance.
Do you mean Jordan?
While I'll miss Carrie as Veronica, Christina makes the role her own, while displaying her incredible singing pipes! 🎶💙
Agreed!
yea :3

Christina and Jordan are definitely my favorite Veronica/JD duo since Barret and Ryan.
agreed.
Christina is absolutely amazing!! I'm so grateful I got to see her as Veronica!! Such a powerhouse!! I'm going to miss this cast so much 😩😩

The way she sings that Line, grabs the bottom of her dress and has that little smile on her face.
WOW.
That music director is fabulous! And Christina’s range - Wow!
They need to make a new cast recording with this cast 😍
The vocals on this are insane.
I love this version, don't get me wrong, but I lowkey miss the way Jamie Muscato said Mattress...
I felt that!!!
I feel that on a whole new level. I miss carrie in london and barrett weed on broadway. And jaimie was just phenomenal
I love all the attitude she's got! Absolutely amazing!
So happy to see Christina get such a great project. I know she would after rocking Bat Out of Hell.
christina bennington my beloved
This is just incredible.
The second best Heathers song after Beautiful 😍
i need this with ailsa davidson
They're both insanely talented but I'm just not a fan of Christina's tone. Her range is crazy but in everything she sounds like a child and the tone is quite thin. Maybe that's because she's played very young roles. Will be great to see which other characters she adapts to in coming years. 👏👏
You do realise this musical is set in a high school right? Ha!
@@berbagod1994 Yes. It's the reason I said 'maybe that it's just because she's played very young roles'
Watching her in person is completely different , she's insane .
Absolute perfection
So glad to see this is on stage. I would love so much to see a touring company of this in the states. My only complaint is I do miss the guitar riff. Really liked the rock n roll feel of the obc. Still great though!
raven and strat look different here lol
My favourite Veronica and JD 😍😍😍
Damnit Christina
I'm trying so hard not to fall madly in love with her.
Then she sings this without the drunkenness like she does in the show and adds some rock to it and sings the song like it's closing night on west end
You're really making it difficult!
Seriously tho. what an amazing voice
honestly the only criticism I have of this is that I wish it was less edited because damn she doesn't need it
I want to create and direct a musical someday, this singer is exactly the kind of voice I want for my character Genevieve Miller!
fabulous!
Phenomenal
I wish this cast were touring, or the show could move somewhere else :(
Full version is here! So it on JLG ig first
La segunda mejor canción de Heathers después de Beautiful 😍
Opino lo mismo

I have a question for those of you more familiar with Christina's other work.
I've never seen Bat outta Hell.
Seen a few clips of her in concert.
My question is this.
The way she yells
"Come on!" In such a high voice, almost like a child.
She does that a bunch in her portrayal of Veronica.
It's much different than any other Veronica and personally I like it altho I understand those whodon't.
My question is.
The chirping
I guess you could call it that.
Is that something specific to her Veronica?
Or does she hit notes in that manner always?
.
so will Christina be playing veronica at all the touring places
No, there is a different cast for the tour. Rebecca Wickes is the Tour's Veronica Sawyer
And she is phenomenal too
I wish :((((((((((
Sometimes i wonder how many views my friend has put on this video
Her notes at walking I just I’m sort I can’t stand
Her portrayal and acting choices for Veronica are definitely unique.
She really tried to make it her own.
I wonder if she was concerned that she'd compared to Carrie and when 180 degrees in the opposite direction
I honestly don't blame her
