Thanks for the review. I did not realize it was one drawer for our 2018 Nissan. We are thinking of getting it with a high camper shell and sleeping in there, but I'm not sure if we will have a place for all our stuff. It's good to get a visual.
with a cap on your truck, not sure why you need the Decked system? you could put bins in the back and they will be secured with the cap. the Cap keeps things water proof, but whatever bins you put in there would keep your tools, camping gear, etc....dry
The drawer provides just a bit more compartmentalization and makes it easy to grab the quick stuff. I do see your point though. For work it’s nice because it holds my tripods, light bags and other things I don’t want sliding around.
They need to have an option to come with complete bins, and maybe a couple variations. Even if it’s included. I have to now order something and play Tetris to fit them. Also, my cover won’t fit as is due to the fastening mechanism. No worries, the tail gate locks. But the two top access points are unlocked. And the handles indeeds collect water. Without the top, just get the locks when you order it. The large tray saves manufacturing costs but leaves a lot of space unusable.
@@firstpathfrontier I believe it’s the best available. There are more pricey homemade looking systems. I finished my install yesterday. Then it rained ..
if you’re referring to the rubber bed cover mat I was able to install mine with the mat installed. Took a little time to get everything situated right but it is possible.
Just got done installing mine. Looks like you installed the side portions of the drawer backwards. The flange (the L) is supposed to face inwards. You’re missing out on 2” of horizontal space!
Thanks for the video. It's on point for me as I also have a Frontier. Hope you don't mind me asking but what was the charge for the installation? The local Decked dealer told me they could install it if I wanted.
If the drawer is open, and you have all your weight in the very top in the middle, do you see any sag in that piece because it's a wider span than the two drawer system?
It was maybe a month I think. I originally ordered the Gen 1 but they sent the wrong one. They had to reorder so I upgraded to gen 2 and waited . It was about 4 weeks if I recall.
These things look amazing but the build quality is quite poor. After only a few off-road trips my drawer is badly out of line and is difficult to open and close. Do yourself a favor and go with a higher quality product like goose gear.
Honestly, the most thorough review I've found that didn't feel like a sales pitch 👍
Dude…. That is most awesome comment I have ever gotten. Thank you so much!
Thanks for sharing. Nice video!
Good video and info, thanks for sharing. Planning on getting one of these new systems as well for our 2018 Frontier

With a high camper shell you’ll have room enough . Tight but doable. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for the comments John. It’s a not a perfect system but I’m making it work.

Hmm… I’ll take a look. I had it done at Radco.

It was like $200 bucks but it would have taken my a long afternoon in the Minnesota cold so it was worth it
Thanks for sharing. Have you checked if cases like the Milwaukee packout, DeWalt, or ryobi packout boxes will fit in there?
I haven’t tested myself but I saw a post of someone saying the Milwaukee packouts fits. Probably just certain ones though
with the truck cap and decked how do you have any weight capacity to carry anything?
It’s about 400lbs for both so there is plenty for what I need to carry which is camera/video stuff for work.

I have carried 12 bags of mulch and haven’t noticed any issues. I do try to spread out the load a bit though just to avoid what you are stating.
How do you like it so far? Looking at getting the single drawer for my Gladiator. Any complaints? Looks like a much better system then the first one.
So far no issues. I like it.
It can hold up to 400lb on the drawers and 1000lb on top right? Was confused there for a second
Yep… that’s right.
How long did it take for you to receive it after buying it

Your Decked out NOW 🤣🤣🤣
Dad jokes and puns = yes.... =)
Haha!
What kind of camper shell is that?
Leer R100 but labelled as a Radco. Check out my video I have for it.
