Big Eye stealing Shock Master is something fron nightmares
both numbers were of the same person in zexal
Both of these decks have such good counterplay options against each other, definitely one of the best matchups so far. Dragon rulers really did open crazy games 1 and 3 though, rejuv for 6 in end phase was just so op. Great games overall.
The fact that Clownbade came within 1000 life points of winning a Rejuv for 6 draw Maxx C is I think an insanely important demonstration of just how powerful the deck really is

Royal decree was do damn good during this time in the side board. Especially in conjunction with breakthrough skill which could work around it. Fun game to watch.
This is probably the best back and forth cross-banlist duel I've seen in a long time
This was one of the best matches yet. Just so much back and forth. Really does a good job showcasing how strong both decks are considering how much of a fight they put up vs. one another. Also big eye stealing shock master is horrifying.

Damm, I've forgotten how strong Clownblade was. Access to Lavalval Chain and Norden in the same deck feels illegal.
That was a great match & especially game 5 was a great showcase why handtraps are needed in modern YGO
This was an INSANE match
2013 Rulers honestly look quite tame, was a little hesistant to see them in the upper bracket but more reassured after this match! Also the LADD variant is much better going into an open tourney that isn't just ruler mirror matches, so I'm glad to see it being used!

I wanted Clownblade to win, but Dragon Rulers definitely showed me their true power. Tbh, I think it MIGHT be able to contend with the decks in the bottom row.
Most decks in the bottom part wouldn't lose to one imperm-like effect
Both decks stand a chance against the bottom half if they get off their super high roll boards, but they definitely lack the ability to crack modern boards
Engine wise Dragon Rulers resemble pretty much a combo deck from like 2018/19, but the thing is that the Ruler Extra Deck is pretty terrible compared to modern decks. they dont have access to a consistent Turn-1-Play that disrupts the opponent.
I wish there was a poll option to bet on "Whoever wins rps" because some games that's just the meta. They were a little close this time, but going first still had a 100% win rate.

Damn what a match. Both decks have so many explosive plays. I'm pretty sure this isn't the last time we will see them face off. It's also crazy how fast baby Rulers were, even with a sub-optimal build like this one.

what an amazing and entertaining duel! as Arc-V intended to! it was really fun to watch!
but G3 could have been much better played from your part dear Lith. like discarding zephros so that you bounce back the field spell to re-use it again (I think it is not hard once per turn) or summkning juragido (the 1700 atk monster) in atk position before he finishes you with LDD could have changed something like I just feel it could have been much better.

I have to admit i was skeptical about the BTS in the Ruler main. It fell out of favor later into the format. However against matchups other than the Draon Ruler mirror the card will defintely come in handy.
Dang, Dragon Rulers still proving to be a strong deck but I loved Clownblade. So close!
Going for Bird Up on the next one, can't wait to watch that duel!

Great match. Could have gone either way. Maxx C continues to completely warp the CBC. It is these older decks best out to the newer decks, especially those which don't have an easy OTK line. Every single year it really seems like DRuler is just carried by the bug.

I think they might, as well. The other two decks in their bracket can't keep up.
@@ygodecktestertube in their own bracket yeh. but outside even, i think the only decks that compete are shaddoll and spellbook and i think clownblade could very well beat those too

What a crazy match! This absolutely lived up to the hype! Also, proves why Super Rejuv and Shock Master are banned.
And, what do you know? We have another crazy match for the next one. I'm giving a slight advantage to Bird-Up here because it's the more recent deck, but this could be either decks match. We already know the stupid shit both decks can do and Adamancipators are a former CBC champion, so this should be a good one.
when you compare dragon ruler was the worse deck it just sucks to deal with a deck that summons over 2500 atk monster willy milly with a rank 4 deck. dragon rulers dominated the combat phase while both decks are from a time when combat actually still mattered to get the upper hand
It still matters to an extent
For example spright's inability to use it to clear boards heavily hindered them in the tcg
While some other decks use it to make zeus
I miss Plasma being meta, especially that deck with dandylion, and the gemini cards

Damn only because of veiler rulers won last time they had this matchup you used empowered Clownblade but that was a different list and rulers weren't main decking veiler

So you attempt to end MP1 and go to BP, when opponent attempts to activate veiler, you can just Exciton
