    The steelers literally just got Cordaralle Patterson and I think he's great for this style of returns. I think it all started from someone saying he's agile enough that he could do it

      Justin Fields only had one WR last season that was double teamed every play and he still had a career year. (D.J. Moore)
      Justin Fields is arguably better than Caleb Williams and will never get the opportunity to play with a complete offense like Caleb is getting in his rookie season.

    Everyone's blowing this out of proportion. The Steelers signed Corderell Patterson to be the return guy. Tomlin wouldn't jeopardize Fields like that. Especially if Russ sucks or gets hurt.

      Oh yeah, that coach was Sean Payton, just in case you forgot. Sean Payton doesn’t see anything in Russ. So much so that he was willing to have 85 mil in the hole just to get rid of him. That liability, is going to the Steelers, who as far as I’m aware, don’t have that much better of a staff for Russ to work with.

    The day after the rule change they signed Cordarrelle Patterson cause he's a nut kick returner. So put both guys back there. Fields takes the kick and runs right then slings a lateral across the field to Patterson. Touchdown.

      That would be a sweet play. I wished (as a bears fan) the bears kept Patterson. He is fun to watch!! I think Steelers will surprise a lot of people this year.

      Dude - you just hit the nail on the head! The only danger to Justin would be a personal foul for 15 additional yards. Justin can pass the ball sideways and do the QB slide he perfected. The front linemen would have practiced a designed wedge play and go into formation to block for the runner. The wedge was only partially outlawed back in the 1950s and can be used as long as the players do not interlock arms in formation.

    I guess I think out of the box. I was kind of thinking the Bears should keep Justin Fields and convert him
    to a quasi running back receiver. Then we have a back up quarterback in place if he’s healthy. That guy is way too gifted athletically to just pass on him all together if he’s not gonna play quarterback.

    I’ve been a Pittsburgh Steeler fan for over 40 years and I must say Mike Tomlin is the worst coach Pittsburgh has ever had. I’ve never heard of this kind of nonsense with any of our other coaches. If I were Najee Harris I would walk into the Pittsburgh Steeler organization and ask them to trade me ASAP and if the report is true about Justin Fields, he should do the same. The disrespect of players under Mike Tomlin, I’ll be glad when he’s gone.

    Their 3rd String QB should be somebody that could actually RUN. Instead, most teams have these no-name QB that should not have started even in College. Fields isn't going to be returning Kickoffs. Not unless the Coach wants to be fired.

    It's one of the dumber ideas to come out of any organization. Especially when he might be the better qb in that room at this point. Why would you put the guy who is probably going to finish the season as your starter in such a vulnerable position? No way this is a real thing.

    Not sure if I like the idea of putting him at risk returning kicks, but I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tomlin and the Steelers would be FOOLISH to not give Fields 5-10 snaps a game if he isn't the starter. Guy is a home run threat.

      @@jasonjanisewski78 He did not do well against the Packers. But, overall the Bears were terrible in alot of areas and did almost nothing to help Fields like they are doing with Williams now. We will see with the Steelers and an overall better organization. Sometimes statistics do not show everything behind the scene.

    JF does nothing well except run. He is garbage as a QB, and no one can prove otherwise. So, why not see what he can do at another position. Kind of like slash did back in the 90's. But if they do put him as a KR that at least keeps him involved in the game, they just need to teach him how to hang onto the ball.

      Offensive coaching was "garbage" the Rookie GM Ryan Poles overlooked said staff but then fired them. Jonoko thought changing Justin into a pocket passer was valid. Then Fields broke his throwing hand and finger saving him from their destructive attitude/stupidity. Chicago discovered Tyson Bagent is a 50% winning QB1. He has HOF qualities. 🐻⬇️🧆🏝️
