    Very inspiring. The subject of arrangement is something one never gets tired of really, its both practical and very fun. A lot of magic can happen with the right arrangement and a simple idea. Hope you make this a standing series. Cheers

    so i just gpot the MPC live 2, and its awesome. Ive had a set of decks and have been spinning records for a while but ive never had an MPC before or drum machine or a computer with a DAW. Im more of a fan of going analog so to say, thats why I wanted a MPC, you dont have to plug into computer to use. Never have anything like the MPC its not exactly easy to just turn it on and start creating ive been watcing lots of videos and gotta say i love the way you lay everything out and the explanations of why youre doing what you are dloing. i appreciate it very much brother and wanted to say thank you for taking the time to put these videos together so kuckleheads like me can gain a better understanding and actually start creating music!!!

    Cool video, and dope beat.
    I love using song mode in the MPC live 2. You pretty much covered it exactly how I would have. Honestly I think it's the best way to write music, because instead of just mousing it in, you can feel the song and perform the arrangement.

  • @MattDvc

      @@JaeFreshmen I got my mpc one last december but returned it and got the live 2 since i dont want any wires. i can make a song but Im trying to put some flavor like Riser or snare roll which i think i should get it from splice. Im still trying to figure it out though.

    • @JaeFreshmen
      @JaeFreshmen  Год назад +1

      @@vergellim7361 bro splice and mpc is the way because honestly i kind of prefer maschine mk3 because of the sounds native instruments has and i love my mpc live 2 for its portability but akai got to work on their soundbank imo but being able to access splice right from the mpc saves it n just collect favorite one shots and loops

    • @vergellim7361
      @vergellim7361 Год назад +1

      @@JaeFreshmen Bro, I feel the same way. I started with maschine mk3 and I really like the workflow and have wide variety of sounds. But for portability hands down to the mpc live 2, i dont have to worry about the wires and headphones. Also the sampling is also good.

    Very nice compo! THANK YOU so much for all the work. I'm hesitating between this and the mpcx. This one seems much simpler. The smaller footprint is also interesting. One question: when your song is ''finished'', can you for ex make it play and manually tap some drum accents and get them recorded as well or do you have to create another sequence ? Instant sub btw! Have a great one !

    • @JaeFreshmen
      @JaeFreshmen  11 месяцев назад +1

      hey bro thanks for watching and yes you can by converting your whole song into one sequence and from there you can go in and add mutes or other sounds and i like the mpc live 2 for its portability and speaker , i feel like the mpcx would just keep me in one spot and i don't like that i want to make music on the go

    Hello, and Happy Holidays Jae,
    I have an issue that I can't figure out in Song mode: when I "Convert to Sequence" a Song, all my mutes are wrong, regardless if I use Ignore or Include Muted Tracks.
    All the Sequences contain the same info on every track and are the same length.
    For the life of me, I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
    The only solution that I have not tried yet, is to delete all the muted tracks on every sequence, unmute all the muted tracks (even if it doesn't have any note information), and then rebuild the song so I can "Convert to Sequence."
    By any chance have you come up with this issue?
    Thank you for your help and I love your videos,
    DjG
    PS: I do notice that in List Mode, at the very beginning, there is a "Mute Event", that has an option to turn on or off. Regardless of whether it is on or off, it makes no difference, and it can't be deleted.

    You need to be more broadened and specific about All of the key functions in song mode. Examples "Sudden and Export. Using words like "press here or go here" can be confusing for viewers. You've already displayed Convert>Sequence which was cool. Overall your video is cool and I thank you but it took too long to get into the Real tutorial topic of Song Mode.
