It was great performance no doubt, but he needs to clear out the division before we start calling him the best bantamweight ever. Aljo and Cejudo defended that belt more than he has.

The only guys he beat that could be considered the “best of the best” in the bantamweight division is Petr Yan and Aljo. Now let’s talk about the guys he hasn’t fought. Merab, Sandhagen, Song Yadong, Rob Font, Umar. Also, how many title defenses did Cejudo, Aljo and Cruz have? More than O’Malley that’s for sure and O’Malley only beat one of them. But what you are missing is the fact that I said O’Malley had an incredible performance but you can’t call someone whose first title defense was against a guy who didn’t deserve it the best in his division. Is McGregor the best Featherweight and Lightweight? Is Bisping the Best Middleweight?
