Thanks for providing these numbers. The PU position is not the bottom dweller that the media likes to make it out to be and is an attractive position for the seasoned HC that wants to prove he can build a winning culture in the big leagues WITH a level-headed, supportive fan base.
UNC is prepared to cover all scholarships, they are ready for revenue sharing, and has doubled the NIL budget. The AD is saying they want a coach that fits, not just a splash hire. They have held off on weight room relocation to free up a lot of money. They have doubled their football budget for assistants and coordinators.
WVU is a bigger brand, has better fan support, better merch sales, better facilities, etc than UCF and it isn't even close. UCF only has the advantage of being in FL. The big east still had multiple teams ranked in the top 25 every year even after Va Tech and Miami left. WVU won 3 BCS bowls from 05-12. With the right coaching hire they will get back to its winning ways.
UCF has a better lifestyle, and you cannot compare living in Morgantown vs Orlando. I would agree with you that the fan support is better at WVU. I’m a ucf person and am in the minority that pushing Gus out was an enormous mistake. Our fans have unrealistic expectations. The other thing is UCF doesn’t have the cash resources that schools like WVU or Purdue have
@baumer1986 as stated above, i said the only advantage is being in Florida. Orlando is nice don't get me wrong but don't knock West Virginia until you have visited. There is alot of beauty in the state. Morgantown is also one of the best college towns in America. UCF is a good job with lots of potential and a great location. In my opinion it's just not a better job than WVU right now.
I been a Tarheel fan for over 45 year and I want a dominant program. I am tired of the hopeful weaknesses. We have an opportunity to do something great here. Let's go and stop acting like a bunch weakling.
I think wv is comparable to unc and ucf they really depends on each coaches thought. Wvu has usually been competitive year in and out historically with some really really good teams sprinkled in. I mean the big east wasnt as good at the end but those teams beat uga, GT, and beat the breaks off oklahoma they were good .
Neal Brown is really clueless. He fired his defense coordinator few weeks ago an lets his new boss run same joke 3 man D line zone that no body else uses gave up 49 an 52 points in 2 of last 3 games. Wow thtst will surely get you fired. To bad good man recruiter just didnt know anything about defense If you a head cosch its your job to change the garbage on your team that stinks.. He didn't do that an got deservedly fired....
UCF is not a great job... Branding hurts'em..ALOT They lack resources...especially financially. The NIL collective at UCF needs to get much much better. UCF was is in a great recruiting hotbed though.
@GR-bn3xj | ur in lala land... UCF is 10-15 as a P5 school. That's not decent my guy. As for potential, most p4 schools have potential. Pre-NIL i would say yes, UCF had potential. In the NIL era, they don't have as much potential as the think they have. They have 1 of the smaller P4 fan bases and NIL collective. If u like facts.. there u go
Here's some numbers:

Ucf attendance was in the 40,000 range.

WVU is the best job of these with the most tradition and best fan base

@ have been not knocking it. Don’t assume. You can’t argue our facilities that are modern are better
Listen bro you can put rims, tinted windows and a bad ass system on a Volvo but in the end it’s still a Volvo. 😂😂
Lol no.
UCF is no where near WVU its like a Marshall

If you guys are serious about UNC football, go after Urban Meyer, Jimbo Fisher, Les Miles, Sumral or stop wasting time, effort and money.
If Sumrall goes to UNC and Kinne comes to UCF
Kinne’s a Malzahn tree guy, prob not
I think Bob Chesney made a heck of an impression at UNC when he hung 70 on them.
Chesney is obviously super sharp imo
UNC's expectations are ~8-4 but its aspirations are nattys.
I just hope Sumrall waits for the Kentucky job. It's only a matter of time.
Georgia Tech is extremely well coached. I agree that smart schools with openings will target their coordinators for HC jobs.

If UNLV makes the playoff we are not keeping Barry Odom
How are y’all gonna talk about the big east without even knowing who its members were? Leave it to the pros guys
UCF better than WVU? Thank for proving that you have ZERO credibility. At least I won't have to waste anymore time watching this podcast
I agree. First year in the p5 and still looked g5. It's a stepping stone school for better jobs. Also WV is nice and cool and beautiful.

Ucf bring back Scott Forst
Are Clemson and FSU going to be in the Acc next year or the year after?
To go where?
UCF over WVU WHAT
WVU is a far better job than UNC or UCF. These tgree sound clueless 😂
UNC is the far better job of the three. Not even close.
Y’all missed the best talking point with white whale candidate for UNC job. Do some research
Nick sabin

They lack resources...especially financially.
The NIL collective at UCF needs to get much much better.
UCF was is in a great recruiting hotbed though.
I don't see it either. UCF is (at best) the #3 in Florida and a G5 equivalent. Florida is also the home to MIAMI, a big brand in football.
This isn't 2015. UCF is now a decent power school with alot of potential.
@@GR-bn3xj A Tier 2 P4 school with no chance of making the evolving Tier 1 cut.
