Thanks Paul. I know a lot of people find painting landskechts a bit daunting so I wanted to show an easier method of getting them done. Next vids will be a lot shorter lol
Thanks buddy. I think I’d id of approached them as individual minis to painted one at a time I’d never of gotten any done. Happy my batch painting plan worked out so I haven’t gotten fed up with them... yet
They look awesome , the exact same method I used for mine , so far 5 x 24 pike units and 5 x arqubus units in and I'm still loving painting these guys with many more to go . Cheers Tom

Hi mate. I’ve commented on your video about magnets but I think it hasn’t gone on. You might need to go into settings and allow comments. I had to do the same here. You could use just a penny with some sand and a couple of tufts to put in on the magnet to replace casualties
Leon T66 I’ve seen the comment thanks :) I did reply to it aswell but I guess you haven’t seen it? I can look into the settings and see what’s going on 👍
Thanks Justin. They seemed a bit daunting at first with each mini being individual so I came up with a plan that’d hopefully help anyone with batch painting to get them done quicker.
This is a great bunch to paint, with all the different colours on their uniforms. Not really modest guys I think, they probably have secret mirrors in their gear to admire themselves on the battlefield. Nice paint job and pretty accurate when I look at original images of Landsknechts.
Thanks buddy. They’re going to look great all together when the whole army is complete I think. Really colourful with all the flags flying. Lol. I agree, all have mirrors stashed away in them big sleeves and ruffles.
Nice job mate, not a period o am interested in but after seeing your miniatures may be tempted for Frostgrave. Although current project keeping me busy
Great work with a correspondingly good result. Your "Landsknechte" look outstanding. The 5 days were worth it! Really good looking Figures, Leon. Greetings, Joachim
I like these, great job Leon! Impressive detail on the faces, nice sculpting on the figures. These are great! The Funken book has a nice array of colour schemes for this period, lots of stripes and harlequin patterns.
@@leont66wargaming31 Arms and Uniforms by L & F Funken, quite a good range with excellent pictures, 1970s. You certainly are up to it. Give it a go, I dare you lol. I'm gingerly painting a bit, minutes at a time, perched on a stool. Old box of cherry pickers Italeri 1/72 crimean war. Not very accurate but it's a distraction. Looking forward to seeing your next batch.
Absolutely fantastic Leon. Really looking forward to seeing your progress. Also Leeds back on top and WBA losing. Shaping up to be a good week. Cheers.
Really great job Leon. You have worked out a good way of painting them too. I think they look amazing. When they are all done and flagged up the army will look superb.
Thanks buddy. Yeah I think most people approach them as painting each individual model and that would take forever. Thought a block painting plan was a good way to go. Gotta order up some flags on payday from flags of war
it is beautiful, the practice is felt. the soldiers both from afar and at close range are very beautiful. I hope to see the French soldiers of Napoleon from Warlord.
@@leont66wargaming31 Thank you, I watched many times. I am waiting and hope for a new one. I wanted to ask you, how do you feel about citadel contrast? and the main question is, I love warlord, but unfortunately they have a meager line of French infantry Napoleon, what should I choose for a variety of perry or victrix? which is better suited so as not to stand out. Thank you very much for the information and help. you are talented person.
Thanks mate. I haven’t tried the contrast paints yet so I can’t give say if they’re good or not. From what I’ve seen, they’re useful for somethings but not for others. You can use both Perry’s and Victrix and they match in really well. The Victrix have less marching poses though, so if you want everyone marching (which is how I do mine. Except light troops) then Perry’s are the better option. I’ll be getting a box of the new Perry plastic French soon
Very impressive. Done in quick time, too. I have to also add I use a very similiar mix of paints as you do, mixing in a few Warpaints like you do. Great result. Thanks for posting, and cya in the next Paint Along. Take care, Leon. ~K
Thanks buddy. Great minds paint alike 🙂. Thanks for the paint and chats. I’m getting a lot more done now because of them. Might even consider some more French Napoleonic now lol. Maybe even some Cavalry.... maybe
Very impressive Leon. I expected no less from you. I would have been daunted doing a project like that, but the batch process is in my view the best way forward
In 5 days?! Great work! I like your approach in how to get them all done so quickly. I did mine a stand at a time and it took me about a month to get all of them done. This unit looks really nice. Which canon are you looking to do the Warlord one or one of the ones from Foundry?
Thanks buddy. Initially I thought I’m never going to get them done. But my plan worked well lol. I’m doing the warlord one that came with the starter army.
the stuff nightmares are made of...on the table/painting and in real life !
Indeed
Really colourful figures and nice bases.👍
Thanks Mark 🙂
Nice work! Very nice to see the work in stages. Gives me a kick in the pants to get started.
Thanks buddy. Hope it helps with motivation.
Terrific work on your Landsknechts .
Thanks buddy
Brilliant work Leon, love this period, all the best Garry
Cheers Garry. I don’t know a great deal about it tbh, I just liked the look of the minis
Excellent vid Leon. Start to finish with some great tips for people wanting to paint similar figures.

Awesome to see mate, enjoyed that and the minis look epic

A very well explained video great painting and a wonderful finish

Fantastic painting and video Leon!

Very nice those mucker.

Really nice mate, think your method worked really well. Looking forward to seeing more
Thanks buddy. I’m going to do one unit as the Black band using some contrast paints
Brilliant Work Leon!!Love them!

Great work as always Leon! Thanks for sharing :)

Cracking job on those Leon, they look brilliant, stop tempting me, i have no will power hahaha
Thanks buddy. Hahaha. Sorry about that lol
Excellent plan and excellent results. Look great for sure. Looking forward to seeing a army of these fine fellows all painted up by you.

How many men do you have in your arqubus units and how many on a base.?

Great job mate Landsknects are a great project paint to do i have loads of them to paint up when I need a break from the Naps I paint up a group of 6.

Looking great. I think it would drive me mad trying to do these.
Thanks Lee. If I’d of approached them all as individual minis I’d of never got them done. This way it breaks up the monotony quite well

With all those rocks and boulders be careful we don't have a disordered pike block :DDDD

lovely work Leon, when you said ink over the base colour what did you use nuln oil or actual ink.
Thanks Nick. I used army painter strong tone wash, but Agrax earth shade would work just as well.
Did you wash the figures with a black wash after base coating them in your colors?

Sorry that’s a throw back to my GW days when I used washes and inks. I don’t use ink on these minis just strong tone wash
Thanks very much for replying, especially on such an old video 😁 any idea which one if u can remember, like sepia or agrax maybe 🤔
It was Agrax I think
