Khadlaj should have named the new formulations differently. There was no need to confuse ordinary folk.
Yea I think so too. It would have helped to have a name change. But for now, I think now 2023 editions is the old and 2024 the new ♥️

Yay! Thank you!! I have been raising this question about Empire Victor after viewing Cee Chronicles' review. I thought .....why isn't she mentioning that oud? 🤔 I trust her reviews. And yours, too. My bottle is the old formulation and is from January 2024. It wasn't a love at first sniff, but I kept returning to it. And now I love it! I'm keeping it because it could be a collector's item! But I'm still gonna wear it. I've heard the new formulation is inspired by Tom Ford's Vanilla Sex. No idea, never tried it, never will because it's out of my price range. 😂 Anyway, thank you for clarifying this, Simh! 😊

@SiminShaikh no! My version is the old version with the barnyard oud. Even though it was manufactured in January of this year! So I'm not sure when the reformulation took place 🤷🏻♀️
Mine is the old formulation, and it's for Jan 24. It's a like for now,i agree it's addictive but not for the faint-hearted.

Hello gorgeous soul ❤I do have the old formulation of Empire Victor and for me , a beginner in oud is not disturbing at all..to my surprise. Is the most refined vanilla, nothing I have smelled before and that pinch of animalic twist gives it such a seductive allure 🥰

I am so glad you clarified the differences. I recently tried Empire Victor the old formulation. I really disliked it ! The oud was too animatic for me. Now I’m excited to smell the new Victor. I absolutely love Vanilla. I cannot purchase it here in Australia YET ! Love your content ! 😊

I'm SO glad you've cleared up the confusion with Khadlaj Empire! I was also wondering why, WHYYY! isn't anyone talking about the BIG BARN OUD? 😂 LOL! I have that HIDEOUS pink bottle of Rave Now..much sweeter than B.H.Elixer less sophisticated..I don't dislike it layered with other frags. I'm happy to see you've tried Shahd😊 to me, although I'm not a tropical yellow floral girl...it does remind me of Dolce Garden minus the coconut note..I been layering with Alien Godess/or P.R. OMG! Even I was like how is everyone so very much in love with Victor coz I know that very Barnyardy Oud will be uber polarizing. Now I know lol 😂😂😂 I did not know about the reformulations till about 2 weeks ago. Can you imagine the war int he comments section with me if I didnt know? hahahaa
I do not have the pleasure of trying the BH Elixir but I can imagine. BH has this slight ozonic thing going on but Rave Now is just very sweet.
I am also not a very Yellow Floral girl. I think I like Shahd coz of the sentimental value to me. Oooooh I cant wait to try it with Alien Goddess. I do not have Olympea Solar but i have the OG, I will try it with that too. Thanks my Angel ❤❤❤
"REFORMULATION" is usually such a dirty word to a frag head 😂😂😂 Simm, I notice more and more acceptance of Oud in the States 😊 it seems the more exposure, the more appreciation for it. That's just my personal observation. 😊
Simm, yes, Shahd is so nostalgic, I love to wear this frag with vintage clothes 😍 my grandma left me some designer Dior, Chanel, even a Halston hat. FUN 😁 These pair well for sure. Thank you as always, marvelous vid and very informative 👏 👍 👌

I have Shahd on right now. I love it. So much. But it totally just clicked for me when you said White Diamonds! It does remind me of that! It’s definitely not the exact same, but similar. I definitely prefer this one to the old white diamonds though. This is like, vintage …but upgraded. Haha.

I love Rave Now Women and don’t agree with your descriptions. No rubber or plastic scent to me. I can’t get enough of the sweetness of strawberries it has.
Perhaps the perfumes smells different on different people. Because half the comments here get the artificial smell but the rest get a sweet strawberry. As long as you enjoy it babe ❤ Perfumes are so subjective ❤ The world would be a boring place if we all liked the same things ❤

I just got mine ( Empire Victor). Mine smells like a ban yard, and it's a January 2024 formulation. I guess the batches are different, or we all have different olfactory experiences. I am going to let it sit for a while to see if the ban yard note will fade off. I still love it though.
For now, Khadlaj Flor Oud and Le prestige Empress are my favs. I looooove them. 10/10 😍😍😍

As far as I know the ones produced after April 2024 are the new ones so for sure you have the old version. The new one has no Oud at all. It’s a boozy mature vanilla. It’s supposed to be a dupe for Vanilla sex by TF but I have not verified that yet myself ♥️

Thanks for clarifying the Empire Victor reformulation, I wanted the original when you described it and ordered, I was sent the new formulation and couldn’t detect any oud I thought what on earth is wrong with my nose 😆

Goodness if you are a vanilla girlie you are gonna love the new Victor. It is a grown up vanilla that is a little boozy almost. Very sexy! Hopefully it will reach you soon and at a good price I hope babe 🤗♥️

You are so very welcome. Le Empress will layer well with a Fruity Sweet perfume. I do not think Vanilla heavy perfume is a good combination. But you know what? I am going to try this combination. You never know what we get right? Hehe ❤

Hi Simin. I own Lattafa Shahd and I am quite satisfied with it. For me it is nice flowery scent, nothing powdery, but delicate, not strong. There is nothing revolutionary. It is a safe perfume. Very pleasant❤. However, last week I bought another perfume recommended by you. I hesitated a lot, and I couldn't find any option of a decant. Then I decided, as I found a great offer. It is Khadlaj Proposal Date Night. What a beast❤❤❤. Beautiful❤❤❤. But you were right, you must be very careful, two sprays max. This scent will be eternal. Not blind buy definitely. Khadlaj has a lot of magnificent scents, high quality and a good value for many. Have a nice day🥰

I love vanilla and oud, but that original formulation of Victor sounds a bit intense for myself 😅 may have to add the reformulation to my sniff list! It sounds luxurious.

Yes it is definitely veryyyy polarizing. It is a very advanced Oud that almost smells fecal. The new formulation is a boozy vanilla bomb! ♥️

Thank you so much for clarifying the reformulations in this video!❤❤ I have been wondering about Empire Victor, and I didn't realize they had reformulated Trust or Bold. I bought Le Prestige Bold in April, and I do really enjoy it. To me it does have some similarities to Baccarat Rouge but is definitely different, so I'm not sure which version I have, whether it is the original or reformulated version. But whichever version I have, it is a beautiful fragrance and I will enjoy wearing it. Although I wish I could smell both!

You definitely have the new version coz the old one smelled like gummy bears and not BR540 at all. I am so glad you understand the similarity and the difference with BR540. It’s so hard to explain. I like the fact that it is not medicinal and slightly sweeter 🤗♥️
@@SiminShaikh Yes, I agree, I like that Bold doesn't have that medicinal quality and maybe smells a bit sweeter to me. Like you, I wish I could have both the older and the reformulated version! I really love Khadlaj fragrances and I have so many from them, with Empress, Loyalty, and Karus Secret Musk being some of my favorites. Now I am thinking about getting Trust, since the reformulation no longer leans so masculine. I know you said Trust is only slightly similar to Yum Pistachio, but I already have a couple of Yum Pistachio dupes, so you don't think it would be redundant to have both do you? I love pistachio fragrances, and that with the quality of Khadlaj fragrances, I feel like it is likely to be an ok blind buy. I also really hope Empire Victor will be available in the US soon, as I am really hoping I can get my hands on it!

Yea 100% Even the notes maybe incorrectly mentioned coz I don’t even think the resellers know. As far as I know the anything produced after April 2024 is the new one but again how would anyone check the production date on an online purchase. Just wait it out babe coz it will also get cheaper ♥️
Hey, my lovely Angel, love this review and THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH for explaining the new reformulations of the 3 Khadlaj perfumes. I got a sample of Prestige Bold, my first ever sample of their perfumes and sort of love it, it reminded me of something else , but I love it, only sprayed it once as I wanted to save it. I feel as I got it some time ago, it is the old formulation as I can certainly smell bergamot, saffron , some violet and it was not a 10 out of 10 at that stage but a 8.5 for sure if not 9 as I loved how well blended it is.
I feel the newer Trust does not sound quite as interesting to me as the OG version and from what I found out, the sale is for the version with pistachio. I think the Empire Victor new formulation would be more suitable for me as I feel perhaps the oud may be too much for me if it is too barnyardy. I love Amethyst, Ameer al Oud Intense but these are very mild Oud notes I feel, cold and not barnyardy to my nose. I think I will buy the reformulated Empire Victor at some stage for sure. ( After my break 😁, does it count if I bought Gerry 3 scents? I did this this last week so I did purchase perfume. 🤣) . The perfume of Summer 69 is arriving Friday or next week, it is a Naseem Aqua Perfume, I think the name made me fall for it and I got a special price as I bought the last bottle of Desert Oud for Gerry. My explanation and I am sticking to this 😂). I love the henna on your hands. When I was young and my Mum wanted to cover some few grey hairs we bought some red henna and I used to do her hair for her and sometimes use it to make mine really red. I loved the scent of Henna, such an unsual scent. In summer we added a touch of lemon to this. Such wonderful memories for me, to hear you talk about it as I was transported right back to those days, the laughter as we used to cover the floor as somehow we would end up with henna EVERYWHERE 🤣😅😂, I can still hear us laughing. Thank you for this, my angel.

I did a test of my latest favourite of perfumes on wikiperfume ( sadly it only has about 1/3 of the ME perfumes and this was the answer. My fragrance wheel said I love Floral, Woody, Chypre, Ambery (oriental) and Leather families.
It said I also love nuances of the Citrus and Fruity subfamilies. The Notes that came up as most loved were, VANILLA ,PATCHOULI, JASMINE (SAMBAC), ORANGE BLOSSOM ,TUBEROSE ,JASMINE ,MUSK, CASHMERAN (WOODY MUSKY), CORIANDER ,ROSE DAMASCENA, AGARWOOD.
It is so cold I feel like wearing gloves inside today, so my scent is Ameer al Oud ( I also have a slight chill so I cannot smell notes as well and as I am home alone, except for the kitties I went to town on my perfume 😂) also some Oudain and a hint of Amethyst, now I can smell my perfume 🤣.

I could not agree more about Trust. I love the old formula soooooo much! It was just very interestingly beautiful. The animalic notes were done just right. Needless to say I will be cherishing my Old bottle and use it sparingly lol 😂😂😂
I agree with you for Victor too. The Old formulation is dangerously barnyardy. It is literally a veryyyyyy advanced Oud and not for everyone. Also, it might not be easily acceptable by people around you, even if you love it yourself ❤ The new Victor is a grown up boozy Vanilla and I love it ❤
OMG! Lol. I was just discussing this with Ali. I used to have these henna parties before Eid with my friends. We all used o get our henna done at the Salon, order food and drinks and make an evening of it before Eid. It was so much fun and laughter. When we used to all drive back home, there used to be henna crumbs everywhere in the car. The scent is almost intoxicating. We also use this mixture of lemon, sugar and eucalyptus and apply it on the henna once it dries. This is supposed to make the henna color darker.
Oh... I wasn't even aware of this Wikiperfume test. I will get mine done and share my results with you lol.
Today I am wearing Ameerat Al Ehsaas. I feel it goes well with the scent of henna on my hands.

Rave now does smell like that eraser you were talking about 😊 but, it's a lovely English summer scent. Very strawberry short summer dress vibe. It's also a great layering scent. Goes particularly well with Amouage, especially for those who find the litchi in Amouage a bit challenging.
Maybe I should try and wear it in slightly cooler weather coz here in Dubai it hit nearly 49 degrees centigrade. I am indoors in AC but somehow my mood gets very affected by the weather outside. I will try and give it another shot ❤
Can you do the khadlaj la fede magnum line? Theres not one review on them :(
I researched Henna before and I learned that it’s good to color natural hair as well. I have use various powders for hair growth and strength.

Hi Simin, I have Shahd and wore it yesterday. It's nostalgic and mature yellow floral musky perfume. It was too much for the worm summer nights and it was bothering me 🥴 I'm gonna use it with cooler weather.

I must have got the old formulation for Victor Empire. I get mostly oud, it's animalic, barely any vanilla, no caramel or lemon. I'm pretty disappointed ☹️ hope this changes after it sits because its really unwearable.
Yea I don’t think it’s gonna change babe. This is the old formulation which has the most advance oud ever. It will mature and get darker but the Oud will never go away 😞The new version is all vanilla, a boozy vanilla

It is supposed to be a dupe to Vanilla Sex by TF. It does have Vanilla 28 Vanilla but with added Boozy Vanilla. Like a more grown up version of sorts ❤

I could not agree more. Khadlaj have stopped selling the old formula but I think especially outside of the UAE, many secondary sellers are still carrying the old formula.
After reading all the comment, I do understand why the Empire Victor was reformulated. That heavy Barnyardy Oud is not for everyone.

@@SiminShaikh it's still good but I wanted the barnyard note. So Perris Monte Carlo Vanille de Tahiti remains my top barnyard fragrance.
I'm more mad that the seller I purchased from left the OG note list on their website, so I would urge anyone to check with who they plan to order from before ordering.
I understand the henna tattoo design but what's the part where u dipped each fingertip into it and added a round circle in the middle? Is it something u did as an activity or ? Just curious what it's there for
So in our culture the circle on the palm symbolizes receiving blessing. This is the simple form. A more elaborate form would be a proper mandala which I cannot make myself lol 😂 Dipping the finger tips helps ward off evil eye and stuff. I just use it as adornment and most people nowadays wear it as tradition and adornment ♥️

Yes I could not agree more. Coz as far as I know April 2024 is the reformulation date but most websites do not share the date. Khadlaj's own website has only the new ones but they do not ship worldwide yet ❤

I thought the bottle looked like a pattern of geometry on a temple or something. I think it would be nice if it didn't have the giant sill-like part at the top.

I have to ask about flor oud. I remember you said no middle eastern vibe but mine (August 2023) has a strong barnyard oud and I love it. I have heard a couple of other reviewers mention the barnyard oud too. Mine lasts forever until I wash it off or launder my clothes.

The bottle for Rave Now Woman is so annoying. Mine had a lid that separated into two (dried glue I guess) lol so I cannot push it down completely or when I am opening the bottle, the inner part gets stuck on the bottle lol. It is actually a very close dupe of Burberry Her Elixir so if you don't like the DNA, you'll not like Rave Now. I enjoy it on specific days😂😂😂😂

Mine is this production date too and I’m not super experienced with oud but there is definitely something animalic in it and no hint of lemon like mentioned in new formula which I’ve seen reviews of but still not an oud like I was expecting.. definitely different but I’m really liking it! I want to get my hands on the reformulation too! Love Sim’s review!! ❤

So the ones that say 2023 are old formulations and 2024 are the new. Khadlaj does not sell the old formulations on their website anymore. It is all new formulas ♥️ I hope this helps babe

It smells of vomit to me and my coworkers. I’ve let it sit to see if it needed to settle. Biggest fail I have purchased if it doesn’t improve, and I love oud! I bought it three months ago, must be the old formula. 😢
Oh nooooo. I am so sorry. This is the reaction I expected from Victor. Because I know this is the most advanced, the most barnyardy oud ever. I have ever only smelled the same Oud once and that was Ajmal's Shams Dhahn Al Oud, the MOST POTENT FECAL OUD EVER!
And I was so confused why people just smelled vanilla. Try and sell yours babe. I am sure many people might be looking for the Old formulation.

I know I commented on another video about my disappointment with Rave Now. To me it smells cheap, the same way Britney Spears perfumes smell cheap. Agree plastic chemical smell. Like a $1 bodyspray from Dollar Tree. 😂 Im sorry. Im roasting it so harsh. Because i know that the ladies who love it are not smelling what im smelling.
