I've made this twice. Both times everyone agrees, most tender gator they ever had. Also, unlike most fried gator that is best eaten within a few minutes of leaving the grease, this recipe can be refrigerated and reheated leftovers, if any, are as good as when first prepared.

I have tried an alligator once in Florida and the meat was dry. This dish, on the other hand, looks very tender and delicious like a high cuisine! Thank you for the video!

My opinion is that no one actually loves the taste of gator. It’s just something that isn’t always on the menu type of food so we act like we like it after we smother it in a bunch of shit. But what do I know?
I gotta say i absolutely love gator. I had a market in houston that specialized in sausage. I hsd a 30.00 a week habbit in gator alone. It was seasoned like thr best breakfast sausgage id ever had in my life. Didnt matter if i cooked 1 lb or 6 it never made it to a plate. It had no fat. 4lbs in a skillet wouldnt leave a tablespoon of grease in the skillet. I dont miss houston but that raggedy market is in my heart.
This is prob great but if youve never had gator or only had fried find a real life coonass an ask him how to get the dish youre going for. Ooowe dats magwundamus!
I must admit, I'm not sure what you're actually trying to say. I've eaten quite a bit of gator over the years in many ways. But I found this to be my absolute favorite. Actually just wrapped up a gator hunt where we bagged four gators and we have a freezer full now.

I'd give country gravy a try , like chicken fried steak, and add some heat. Also, everything before the gravy is how I make shrimp scampi.
