god you do such a good job on making this complex work seem easy and intuitive. It's work that nobody wants to do, but you help seeing light in the dark here ;D
awasome video thanks! now I'm more in love with studio one ♥ QUESTION: can you go deeper into the track delay? that's something that i haven't understand yet! thanks!
Lovely! I wish I could just have 1 track per instrument. But I will have to wait until OT releases all of the Berlin stuff for their SINE player. Then may template will be leaner. ONce more, fantastic job on the video:)
This is marvellous. Could you do a video on assigning sound variations to buttons on your keyboard for dummies? Lukas' are a bit too advanced. I subscribed and liked.
Hey, I tried but can't get it to work yet unfortunately. Perhaps the few buttons on my MIDI controller (LX25+) are not freely assignable and hard-wired to their primary function (e.g. play, stop etc.). I use the Stream Deck for switching articulations.
Great video as always. My template is slightly different, in that the 2nd layer, eg after 'Strings' as a first section layer, is structured by instrument (Vn1, Vn2, Va, Vnc, Cb), not by manufacturer. When I think of strings I think which instrument do I want to play, not which manufacturer, so my template reflects that. Just a difference that may be useful to others. I based my template mainly off the one provided by Christian Henson and Jake Jackson (it's available on Spitfire's BBCSO pages, and is a really helpful starting point for those who want to shortcut some of the work that you detail here; I'm using Logic, but it has now been converted to other DAWs too). One other difference: in Christian's template to yours: he has different reverb settings for shorts and longs, since you want more reverberation for shorts. I've retained this in my version of his template, and I think it works well. I had developed templates for some time, but the huge game-changer came in Logic, when they introduced the 'track off' feature that has been available in Cubase for some time. Now, I have every single instrument loaded in my template, and just have to turn it on to use it, which takes
Thanks for your feedback! I think your approach of organizing after the different instruments (e.g. Vln 1, Vln 2) is definitely more common out there. It felt naturally to me to organize after libraries and I will experiment a bit with this and see how it feels :) I haven't tried different reverb settings for shorts before. The only difference between reverbs in my instrument groups is the pre-delay depending on the instrument section. Will play around with it a bit, thank you again for your input!
Hi Kevin I used to work in FL Studio but I just switched to Studio One... so please let me shoot you a question here... Does having many open instances of Kontakt make the CPU slower?? Is there a way to use outputs and have every section in just one instance of Kontakt?
I *think* having the same library open in multiple Kontakt instances taxes the CPU more compared to loading multiple versions of the library in the same Kontakt instance. But for me the difference is small enough that I don't care and use individual Kontakt instances for convenience.
Good stuff! You managed to cramp such a big amount of work into 5 mins video!
Thanks Rene!
It's cool that you try a lot of different challenges. The quality of the video is always getting better!
Thank you!! :) I try my best :D
Templates are key! Good job on covering such a complex and yet important topic so smoothly :)
Thanks Shaheen! Smooth greetings! :D Keep up the good work on your music journey!

Praise the sun!! Thanks my friend.
Oh boy, if I could still count the times where I did a "new and refined" template, haha.
Nice video as always!
:D guess we always learn some new tricks that we want to apply to our workflow. Thanks!
kevin what can i say great video as always great job keep the great work 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much :)
I’ve done the same recently too, looks pretty much the same as yours, keep up the amazing work:)
Thanks Clic :) Love S1 for the simplicity
Awesome video!
thanks!! :)

Thanks Alex! Really appreciate your constant support :) Go Go, OT!! You can do it :D
Hey Kevin~ I wonder why single kontakt instance for every single patches? Isn't better if 1 kontakt instance with multi outs?
Doesn’t make a big performances impact and I find it easier to work with.
Thanks a lot, but, where to download the sound variation?!

Don't you mean less reverb for shorts, rather than more? Otherwise agreed with your points.
Maybe you could share the template? :)

Very nice visuals. But I feel like I'm in a elevator watching this 🤔
