A FULL DAY of Thrifting & a HUGE Haul!

- Join me for a busy and FULL DAY of thrifting! We'll start out at Red, White and Blue in Waterbury, CT, then head over to Goodwill in Oxford and finish the day at Goodwill in Shelton. When we get home I'll show you my HUGE haul! I'll also show you how I plan to use and style the pieces I'm keeping. The rest will be listed on my ebay store. Be prepared for multiple Indy sightings throughout this video!

Don't let that"Red , white and blue" store get under your skin! As long as you find good items there that you can make a good profit on you should go. Someday when you and Eric are on your sixty foot yacht, sailing around the Mediterranean you'll look back and have a good laugh!! Keep on thrifting!!

HAHA! I can tell when they're planning to behave and when they want to TEAR THE PLACE UP! She was definitely feeling the latter.
And aside, my husband and I have been at the Red, White and Blue Store in Waterbury twice and have also vowed to never go back!

Hi Kris, thanks for another great video. Both chargers are nice, and you could definitely use both. I like the brown better because they make those beautiful dishes stand out more. Either way, you will have a gorgeous table! 😊

Maybe use earplugs at red, white & blue? I often wear earplugs or headphones (with or without music) when I'm in stores 🫣

Great video. Love all your fur babies! Use the brown chargers for the dinner plates but maybe the silver for luncheon or soup.

The cornucopia is actually a Calla lily, neat! The little Limoges bowl is a ramekin.
I found out about the Calla lily when I listed it for ebay, but I didn't know that the Limoges piece was a ramikan. Thanks for the info!

I'm so glad you don't mind the long videos. It's so hard to gauge time when I'm filming. The cannisters are really pretty - I hope someone falls in love with them! It could be a covered trash can - maybe that's why the bottom was so appalling? I'm thinking of keeping it and using it to store dog biscuits. We buy in bulk, and the little container we use isn't air tight.
What a wonderful haul you got. I enjoyed watching it. I like the look of the brown chargers. The silver don’t show enough. One day you’ll find some perfect ones. The cream colored lamps are lovely.

Loved all your acquisitions. I think I like the silver chargers.Even though you don't see as much of them, they do elevate the loveliness of the China.I do like the brown ones too.But I think the silver ones are classier beautiful hall❤❤

The Krispie Kan lid with the knob filled with (?): We had one back in the 50’s. The little stones in the lid knob keeps the contents crisp. Keeps the humidity out. Anyway, that’s what my mom told me.

Oh, my word, you really hit the jackpot with this load! Many, many beautiful finds….. I love your kitties as they are gorgeous and sweet! I adopted two last Sept. from Whiskers in Southbury, CT. We love them so much! Keep on thrifting as you have a great eye. Peace.😊

Great video. I love your kitchen! The yellow cabinets, hutch, and fireplace make it so inviting. The placements look beautiful. I like both of the chargers but I prefer the silver because it looks more formal. Your haul was really a good mix of beautiful things that will definitely sell. The little Limoges bowl may be an insert for another piece. Loved seeing the cats.
Thank you so much! The kitchen is very cozy when we have a fire going - it's almost that time! I appreciate the input about the chargers and I agree - the silver looks more formal and expensive. I just wish they were a tad bigger. I'll tell my crazy felines that you said hello!
I like the inexpensive brown chargers much better than the silver chargers, and I love your transfer ware dishes!

Great Haul 😮 Those spice containers are the bomb 💣 they will fly out of your store. The silver plated chargers are so elegant, I have my mother’s China and it has a silver band, i need to get some chargers to match. The faux wood charger definitely looks better with the brown transfer ware, I have the exact same ones, the real wood chargers are very expensive. I wish the other Blue Heaven plate had not been chipped, I know several people that collect that set, it’s a favorite 😍 with MCM lovers. The lovely Blue Ridge Pottery dinner plates were made in Tennessee (my State), nice to find several at one time. Thanks 🙏 for sharing 😊
I'm so glad you enjoyed my haul! I really love china sets with a silver or gold band - they're so elegant. You're lucky to have your mother's set! Thank you for your input about the chargers. I agree with you - I think the faux wood works better from a color and size point of view. By the way, I have a big set of Blue Heaven coming up in a future video - probably posting next week - so stay tuned! I love Blue Ridge and always pick it up when I see it!

Keep the brown charger under your Thanksgiving dishes. It looks lovely and you wouldn't ever guess they are plastic.

hello - i've learned to shy away from things that are taped together like your dishes - more often than not, i would get them home to find that some were damaged - now, if i really really want to buy something taped together, i'll ask the store to open them up when i check out...

I think the pair of lamps are from about 1960 because my parents had them in the same shape but all white. So maybe?

I live in Waterbury and have been in the store many times, but don’t really like the store except they have good things. What really bothers me is any time i ask a sales person for help they always say they don’t speak English. The stFf is very rude too.
To be honest, if I lived in Waterbury I'd probably go there because of proximity. And they do have good things, I agree. It just seems like it could be a much kinder, gentler place than it currently is. The announcements drive me nuts.
