I knew they were written in a way to make it really hard to do and waste peoples time but I like how most video game urban legends back then were practically “Beat the game 120 times without dying once, go to the graveyard at 5:21 AM, and in real life, build a time machine and kill Hitler before he started WW2, and go back to the present day. Pick up the controller and throw It against the wall and assuming you have done this all perfectly on a Monday, you should unlock Shrek as a playable character in South Park: Pip Pirrips Tea Shop for the Nintendo 64”
You could call one of the downsides of information being more accessible. Mysteries are only interesting if there is no obvious way to solve them and more often than not answers are disappointing because people want to make conspiracies to a much larger thing.
Thank you for the YIIK segment. I tried telling some other people who made similar videos to this about it and as far as I know they never read it haha. It's frustrating because since the dominant narrative is that it was "proven to not exist" means that the amount of people trying to figure it out are basically 0. I will say this- it is possible for the method to be completely undataminable... as well as it not being programmed in the game... but still exist. The game's 2nd ending, which is the biggest clue to Ending 3, has a message from the game's developer who tells you that "However, a better fate for you lies in the project, but I can’t tell you how to find it. I’m not even sure if there’s a way." This implies that the method doesn't "exist", however the 2nd ending also brings up MissingNo a lot. And outside of the game, AckkStudios has made clear reference to MissingNo as well as other famous gaming urban legends. So it's entirely possible that the third ending takes advantage of a GLITCH left in the game's code, which would allow you to access the content. Only makes sense the game named after the "millennium bug" would have something like that, right? There's a lot more to it but yeah it's complicated and has deep ties to the game's story.
I remember hearing a reason for the Madden Curse: The players chosen would be at the top of their game, and in sports, most players are only that good for a relatively short time. Unless you're Lebron James or something. Naturally, you're going to start to decline a bit after you reach your peak. Its just more obvious for the dudes on the box because they're more notable thanks to the Madden games.
I also think basketball players have longer reigns because basketball is infinitely less violent and dangerous than something as aggressive and linked to brain damage as American football
From what I remember it was the games around 2000-2015ish that had the most players who went on to do worse than do better. Then we started getting picks like Brady, Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen. But in 2019 the cover was Antonio Brown (Mr. Bad Cover) so THAT is definitely cursed.
I remember back in the day that Sonic Heroes had one too- from what I remember, there was a small hoax where if you did 50 consecutive Team Races (one of the 2 player modes) with both teams being metal (which you achieve by holding A and Y during the loading screen), you unlocked a new team to play as which consisted of Metal Sonic, Eggman and Chaos.
Small correction regarding Killswitch - the game doesn't delete itself when your character dies, just when you complete the game, at least according to the original creepypasta itself. That may have been confused because of a developer quote in the story saying "Death is final; death is complete".
• 6:11 It's hilarious that practically no edits were made to Colossus #10's Game Over screen; it's basically early analog horror. • 40:34 I've always heard that the cutscene for Maria getting shot was meant for Shadow The Hedgehog rather than Sonic Adventure 2 because SA2 uses primarily in-engine cutscenes while Shadow The Hedgehog relies on cinematics to move the narrative forward. Maria's character design in the unused cutscene also resembles how she looked in Shadow The Hedgehog. I think they cut the scene because it was darker than Sonic Team was aiming for; they were aiming for a T rating (ironically the game was only rated E10+ on release) but directly showing Maria getting shot would've boosted the game's rating to M.
The Madden Curse is funny bc like, yeah I figure widely liked players that had a lot of work in a very contact heavy sport got injured? Man next thing you know they will tell you water is wet
more so regarding the extent of the injuries, Usually it'll be a season ending injury, possibly even career threatening. Case and point, CMC the guy on this years cover who just came back from an injury mid season tore his PCL and is done for the year and could be done for his career depending on how rehab goes.
The pokegods one reminds me of a Playground Rumor type myth I saw for RSE. It was that if you bred a plusle and a minun, you'd get a rare pokemon called minusle. I was young enough that I believed it, and tried to get one myself. Naturally, I didn't get one - but I DID learn from it that if the daycare says your pokemon hate each other, you can still get an egg from them. Seems the only time you objectively cannot get an egg from them is if they say the pokemon 'prefer to play with others'. Do with that knowledge what you will.
the Song of Healing doesn't bring back the dead, it's very explicitly described as "This is a melody that heals evil magic and troubled spirits, turning them into masks." It's never even confirmed that Skull Kid is responsible for what happened to the Deku Butler's son, just that his spirit is indeed where the mask came from.
The developers of Shadow the hedgehog said that the reason they gave Shadow a gun was because they got a lot of requests to have a Sonic game with guns but they didn't want to use Sonic for that.
@@AzureRoxenot at all, have you even played the game...? "Base logic" tells you that the Goron, Zoroa, and by proxy, Deku masks come from the corresponding characters passing away without any connection to Skull Kid at all. Especially for the Zoroa mask, you literally are the one to do the "killing" if anything....
@@DoctorWhoNow01Even if the Skull Kid didn't directly go up and kill Darunia and Mikau, he was definitely involved in their deaths. Darunia died because he went to investigate the winter weather and got blown off a cliff by the invisible Goron, both of which were Skull Kid's meddling. Mikau died because Skull Kid told the gerudo pirates that stealing the Zora eggs would allow them more power, leading him to sustain fatal injuries. Even if Link hadn't beached him, he would have bled out or been swept away into the endless ocean, as he gets farther away from shore with each passing day; not to mention the moon killing everyone after three days. Skull Kid has already touched the Deku Kingdom and given the strange and twisted body of the Deku Child, it's pretty easy to infer he died either to the poison or Skull Kid himself, who probably decided to use his spirit to transform Link as a cruel joke given how prejudiced Termina is against Dekus for whatever reason.
@@AzureRoxe Maybe I should be more clear, Skull Kid didn't INTENTIONALLY kill him. But the Scrub in the tunnel was already lost and dying there anyway.
Getting this in early before I forget again: Creepy easter egg I’ve never seen anyone cover (and only seen like two other people even mention online) In Nintendogs+Cats, in the default house, there’s a weird and creepy face visible in the side of the cauldron by the fire place. Got a secret that I would like to share! There's a souls-like game called Code Vein (which has disturbing elements, but is technically a non-horror game), in which you can go into the memories of other characters for some background info. In one of the areas in the game you can see the memory of a boss called Miguel, and you find out he was turned into a monster by the hands of the main villain. The scary part however is hidden deep in the memory. Gameplay-wise you just go through the linear path until you reach a platform with a door, but right before you go through the door to exit the memory, you hear Miguel groan in agony. When you turn around you find a giant version of the bosses face, all cloaked in shadows, up close to the platform. A hand covers his face, yet you can still see his sharp teeth, and his shaking, glowing red eye just stares at the protagonist. Even in the beginning of the memory you can find Miguel's face above you, staring down, and still cloaked in shadows. There is literally no indication that you can turn around to find something, since no other memory does that, so that might catch some players off-guard when they turn around. Found that secret really scary, especially when finding the one above me. Btw, love the humor in your videos! Keep up the great work!
Something I meant to comment on that I don't think anyone has. In the remakes of Red/Blue, FireRed and LeafGreen, if players check the truck near the SS Anne, the player will be rewarded with a one of a kind item (for FRLG anyway), a Lava Cookie. Its basically a cheaper Full Heal from Hoenn which will heal any status condition in the game. Its no Mew, but at least Nintendo acknowledged the myth.

A few days after this video came out, McCaffrey tore his PCL playing the Bills December 1st. Not to mention the rumor of Joe Burrow being on the box art of 22 before the passing of John Madden, Joe had torn ligament in his right wrist during the 2023 season.
I miss when creators had the common courtesy to name parts of larger videos as "part 1", "part 2", "part 3", etc. instead of using nearly the exact same title for each one.
The project Libitina was someting that exist since the first game! Besides didn't appers directly in game like that text mensagens in the plus version, player have been found a lot of information in games files. The most cleaver clues was the charcters files (the same you use for erasing Monika in the end of the game), if you change the ".chr" files for other formats like .txt .png and etc you could find a lot of clues and puzzles and even an distorction picture of an new girl that was theorized be Libitina it self. Since all the change files was rellated to Lebitina people use to belive that all 4 girl was her shardeted conscience after the experiments. (Feel free to correct me or add any details)
I don't mind it personally, but I can definitely tell when you don't know much about the game you're talking about. The Persona 4 names and calling Yiik pretty competent come to mind.
More info on the Shadow of the Colossus entry: That community has been super thorough in documenting every nook and cranny of the game. There is a famous playstation forum post hunting for the 17th colossus that people were actively contributing to for nearly a decade. There is no 17th colossus, but when BluePoint remade the game for Playstation 5, they did add a really well hidden easter egg that was sort of a love letter to the community. I'm not gonna spoil it in case anyone wants to find it themselves, but it is actually super interesting just how much is known about that game simply due to its community's curiosity. Also there are a couple of mod projects right now that are recreating the cut colossi fights, the main ones being Beyond the Forbidden Lands and Shadow of the Colossus Tribute.
Back in vanilla wow I spent a lot of time exploring and trying to get to or into places that were out of bounds. I remember when I got into the crypts, that place is huge btw. Pretty sure I heard or read somewhere it was part of the scrapped version of a Kharazhan raid they were going to add to the game before remaking it and adding it to the Burning Crusade. I could be wrong but it personally makes sense to me though, the place was laid out like a dungeon.
Ive got a suggestion: Chapter 2 of Dragon Quest Builders 1 gets very. VERY dark. Basically. Everyone is afflicted with a variety of diseased and you run a hospital to help them. Except half of them dont get better. Then. When you go and sleep for the night. You hear a giant scream and your patients are muttering something about the dark lord. When you finish talking to them. They turn into enemies and you kill them. Soon your docter also gets sick and wants to commit Sudoku
the fnaf movie is canon, just in a different timeline, so events are different but everything else is the same, that's why characters from the movies and the novel trilogy exist in the games while never being shown, Scott said it a few times on steam and reddit
Its funny to hear someone say they weren't aware of the original version of dongan ronpa. I had many friends who were absolutely nuts about it back in the day, and the fandom got big on tumblr even before the games got official english releases because they were translated and posted to a forum essentially like a comic. It was a pretty wild time Also Yo-soo-kay and chai...incredible.

Thats why parents always recommend that their athlete children get a degree even if they get drafted, because all it takes is one bad day to permanently ruin your career.
I had talked about the Mathrus "urban legend" before, but yeah, the creator did not expect it to have a significant impact on both communities. Actually, concepts used on said character are not far from reality, as characters like Cyberia-Kai or Aizen have shown what they can do on a computer.
Just a small little bit of info, the “Maria’s Original Death Scene” cutscene is actually a cut extended scene from Shadow the Hedgehog, not Sonic Adventure 2
Just a notice: Crash Nsane Trilogy was made by Vicarious Visions not Toys for Bob. Also Toys For Bob became an indie developer team so they are still around (Their website is still up and working on something)
Not entirely certain Project Libitina is a hoax or rumor. We know it’s…something, even if it’s actually just a meta element for DDLC. While we’re not sure of exactly what it is, wouldn’t really count it on the same level as the Nintendo ON or Akuma in RE2. It’s a mystery tops.
The rumor in my school was that the leaf stone and moonstone could evolve Eevee into leafeon and Mooneon.... 😂 Weird how the Kids guessed one name right and not the other... man i wanted leafeon though... everyone needs a full Eeveeloution roster back in the day 😅
Pikablu pre-dates Maril's appearance in the first movie. I remember kids on the playground were using it as proof Pikablu was real. Before Maril's appearance, Pikablu was literally just a blue Pikachu Maril and the first movie are not the origin of the Pikablu myth, but only bolstered it
Amusingly I remember the short calling him Marill (and of course, he went 'Marill marill' ect). It was only the Topps movie cards that called him Pikablu!
Might add onto this comment as the video goes on, but when I was a kid and we had slow ass dialup internet, I remember hearing the rumours of pikablu, and one day I found a screenshot of Marill, this was before the movie was out in Australia, and I was like OMG ITS REAL, so excited, then I lost the website and I tried to draw it and man, I really hope that drawing surfaces someday, I hope it’s stuffed into an old folder or notebook somewhere.
Okay actually maybe just work on japanese pronunciation/phonetics in general. You added new syllables into "daibouken" and I'm pretty sure you said "law evasion" by accident. There are dictionaries online with audio if you need them to pronounce a word you're not familiar with. This isn't me hating to be clear, just... it was brutally obvious you didn't check how to say it.

Also I really like how that looked I think it should be able to charge the switch to and also have a VR headset if they did that and also make it so I can put all of my games that I have on to a 2 T 4 TB hard drive I would pay $1,000 for that system
i mean you're not entirely right about the kill screens basically you can get up to a level that breaks the game since the game can't load any more levels meaning in an endless mode you reached the end

50:05 this got me good lmao I have never seen kingdom hearts apart from the one of the mobile games so i was not expecting that
I miss when creators had the common courtesy to name parts of larger videos as "part 1", "part 2", "part 3", etc. instead of using nearly the exact same title for each one.
Bro nobody cares. Just stfu and enjoy the video lol.
My autoplayer took me to this video first
yeah one of the many things that bother me about Wendigoons newer vids
1:11:51 oh man Freddy's fries are SOOO good, best thing they have there 👌
12:32 LMAO HELP I LOVE NICK CROWLEY
Maybe the Ultimate Video Game Myths and Urban Legends Iceberg were the friends we made along the way
No it was the journey not the Ultimate Video Game Myths and Urban Legends Iceberg.
@ShiningTaiga erm you're wrong and owned
@@PimpaneerThePimpD:
Actually the ultimate video game myths and urban legends was the bay harbour butcher
The Ultimate Video Game Myths and Urban Legends Iceberg was the reason the Marie Celeste was abandoned.
Dunno what to say, so have one for the algorythm! Love your videos!
I fell for the Yoshi thing in Pokemon as a kid. And for the exact reason you stated: Nintendo was known for Easter eggs like that even back then.
I don't mind it personally, but I can definitely tell when you don't know much about the game you're talking about. The Persona 4 names and calling Yiik pretty competent come to mind.
There is actually another cover curse for NASCAR games that you may want to look into if you for whatever reason do a part 4.
I literally just rewatched the last tier last night this is crazy
Kinda cool Sparky made it into the movie
Back in vanilla wow I spent a lot of time exploring and trying to get to or into places that were out of bounds. I remember when I got into the crypts, that place is huge btw. Pretty sure I heard or read somewhere it was part of the scrapped version of a Kharazhan raid they were going to add to the game before remaking it and adding it to the Burning Crusade. I could be wrong but it personally makes sense to me though, the place was laid out like a dungeon.
Ive got a suggestion:
Chapter 2 of Dragon Quest Builders 1 gets very. VERY dark.
YOOOO GAMBADO MAKES PEAK CONTENT
Toys for bob didn't close down, they went indie!
Its funny to hear someone say they weren't aware of the original version of dongan ronpa. I had many friends who were absolutely nuts about it back in the day, and the fandom got big on tumblr even before the games got official english releases because they were translated and posted to a forum essentially like a comic. It was a pretty wild time
Also Yo-soo-kay and chai...incredible.
Dude finally!
Thank you!❤
18:17 That's so stupid man, why'd anyone believe there'd ever be a Pokemon that evolves by turning your system upside down?
Oh hey Inkay
The Sadam Hussain PS2 myth was just a PS2 advertisement stunt in my opinion..
8:30 Major injuries happen at least once or twice for every single athlete in the NFL. Injuries are common for almost all sports, but football especially because its so rough.
10:28 no no, you have a point. this could be why oak can't remember blue's name
GAMBADO NATION WE ARE SO BACK 🎉
Just a small little bit of info, the “Maria’s Original Death Scene” cutscene is actually a cut extended scene from Shadow the Hedgehog, not Sonic Adventure 2
Looking forward to this!
Got my popcorn ready
Just a notice:
Crash Nsane Trilogy was made by Vicarious Visions not Toys for Bob.
Also Toys For Bob became an indie developer team so they are still around (Their website is still up and working on something)
1:06:46 Jesus I thought this things that I said on my channel were dark. Holy shit! LOL
Weird how the Kids guessed one name right and not the other... man i wanted leafeon though... everyone needs a full Eeveeloution roster back in the day 😅
Pikablu pre-dates Maril's appearance in the first movie. I remember kids on the playground were using it as proof Pikablu was real. Before Maril's appearance, Pikablu was literally just a blue Pikachu
Maril and the first movie are not the origin of the Pikablu myth, but only bolstered it
Amusingly I remember the short calling him Marill (and of course, he went 'Marill marill' ect). It was only the Topps movie cards that called him Pikablu!
To further the Ibuki Hanging in DRV3 Urban Legend, Tenko and Ibuki have the same voice actress.
I had no idea the Fez monolith got solved!
You had me at holy shit what you do to my boi lololol aw man that's a sub for me lol
1:04:25 As a Persona fan this gave me a brain aneurysm.
*YES ANOTHER VID LETS GO*
The best thing would be if Brutus could stab your character in the back, and your character talks in Latin before dying
30:11 Natsuki Jumpscare!
51:09
Ibuki Jumpscare!
1:23:57 I was the one who took that screenshot of the Ghoul lmao
You can now save aerith on ff7. Mind you it uses glitches and skips but you can bring her back and do it all on original hardware
Just fyi in case you encounter this name again: Chie isn't pronounced Chai, it's said as chee-EH.
Okay actually maybe just work on japanese pronunciation/phonetics in general. You added new syllables into "daibouken" and I'm pretty sure you said "law evasion" by accident. There are dictionaries online with audio if you need them to pronounce a word you're not familiar with. This isn't me hating to be clear, just... it was brutally obvious you didn't check how to say it.
best iceberg video so far, totally worth the wait
LOL the mercy and reaper one is so stupid, since moira is the one who turned reyes into reaper, and not mercy
Im pretty sure that one was a rumor BEFORE Moira was a known character
A lot of people presumed Mercy had something to do with Gabe’s state back then
damn imagine caring that much about Overwatch
26:24 I was about to say. How is a ghost suppose to do that?
18:18 ironically years later a pokemon would evolve that way that being inkay from gen 6 on x and y for thr 3ds
Yesssssss finallyyyy
So we’re not gonna talk about the hidden MGS5 nuclear disarmament/world peace ending?
20:29 I truly think that the switch to should be a console like the Wii U but you would be able to put GameCube games 3DS games 2DS games basically pretty much everything backwards compatible from GameCube all the way up to Wii U switch games and switch to games. Also I really like how that looked I think it should be able to charge the switch to and also have a VR headset if they did that and also make it so I can put all of my games that I have on to a 2 T 4 TB hard drive I would pay $1,000 for that system
Holy shit a new ep.of Glamboozled Gaming he'll yeah borther
i mean you're not entirely right about the kill screens basically you can get up to a level that breaks the game since the game can't load any more levels meaning in an endless mode you reached the end
I've seen Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider. That's pretty creepy.🙀👻
Keep using that super metriod music
The underground depths of Brinstar slaps!
@@kadenbrewer310 not a bad track on the whole ost
@@senseicorey9979 I agree! I just like Brinstar in general throughout the entirety of Super Metroid. I love the extraterrestrial jungle vibes Nintendo captured.
PS2s being used to cobble together a super computer is real. Don't know about Sadam doing it, but it was done by some college nerds.
Please do 3rd part of animal crossing iceberg
Finally
AIR Cruel Version getting more attention
Man, I wish blocklands renderman got more popular, I hope brickadia gets its own spooky creature lmao
I remember hearing about pikablue back in the day before gen 2 came out
50:05 I never got why this of all things got a meme while there's MUCH gooofier ones I only ever hear from fans. The mad scientist bad guy calls his spooky portal the monsters come out of 'the door to darkness' and they're literally just looking for it in the lab.
(Im partial to 'Rikku Having Bugs In Him' tbh
An iceberg is something that is only a small part of a much bigger situation, not just a list of easily disproven rumors. 🙄
Project libitina is probably taking so long because dans still playing Yoshi's story grinding WRs
